@LittleGasthaus My pleasure! Yes, Don Dorsey's original arrangements are still superior. I was there in 1996 for the final two public performances of this parade in Disneyland. Will never forget it.
I've always loved this parade! I saw the updated version at Walt Disney World a couple years ago and was disappointed. Still enjoyable, of course, but Tinkerbell is a weaker Grand Marshall than the Blue Fairy. This video is the parade back in its glory days!
+Peter Wright true Tink may be weaker than the Blue Fairy, but she's more recognizable, you have no Idea how many times i've heard in videos people misstaking BF for other characters who appeared later in the parade.
+Peter Wright They've had the parade made into the Paint the Night parade in Disneyland which is pretty much the huge update of the Main Street Electrical parade. They even have tidbits of the Barque Hoedown music into the soundtrack
Wonderful video! The quality of the picture and audio were great! It was refreshing seeing this, after watching all of those videos of the parade at Magic Kingdom with the new arrangements.
i remember back in 79 i believe they had a grasshopper float that always broke down sand needed to be towed the rest of the route glad to see the MSEP back where it belongs and should NEVER have left for those atrocities light M(tr)agic and the horridly titled "Paint the Night". But it's the Tokyo Disneyland Baroque Hoedown now. "Have you all got amnesia they just cheated us, this isn't fair it's NOT THE COCKADOODIE PROPER HOEDOWN!"
wow! back when they were still using the original music tracks from the '70s! what was that little pre-show before the actual parade? I just saw the MSEP a few weeks ago at its return home engagement at Disneyland and it was wonderful to see it again since the last time I saw it at WDW in the '90s. I much prefer the train being the leading float!
Why can't I see the video!! I love and miss the donkey choreography from the Pinocchio part back then!! Also, enjoying the comeback at Disneyland in Anaheim but so sad so many of the floats are gone having been used for other Parades or sent to other Disney Parks. 😕

@@LittleGasthaus if ur wondering what i said, Chapulín Colorado is a Mexican Superhero that is Loved through all of Latin America including Argentina, Chile, Guatemala, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Brasil, Peru, Costa Rica, Honduras, United States and More. It used that part of the Main Street Electrical Parade in it's End Credits in 1979, replacing the og baroque hoedown, which was used in the credits from 1975 til 1978, even though the show started in the early 1970s.
You’re right I don’t have any clue what you were talking about. I hope as a German your excuse me, when I not know too much of the history. But thanks for letting me know And the comment
I personally was Disappointed when I saw Paint the Night because 1. Mickey was on the LAST Float, and 2. Because they didn't have an Honor America Section like the Electrical Parade does
It was created for the 50th anniversary for Disneyland and paid omage to the original with the drum at the beginning. I love both personally but there’s something truly special about the original electrical parade.

Absolutely magical, my kids hear this song and they start dancing! 😀💙💙💙
That's what I always tell the kids. The old is not always worse!

I love the kids' comments "It's Peter Pay-an!"
@Littlescienceguy Thank you for your comment.! I also like the old arrangements better.
I agree with you. Thank you for stepping by.
That was the day that The Walt Disney Company unveiled plans for Disney California Adventure and the expanded Disneyland Resort !
I enjoyed watching it
Yay! Thank you!
@@LittleGasthaus no thanks necessarily

I love the kid screaming at the characters x)

@oOqoTiiZadaOo Thank you for your comment! Sorry my Spanish is bat.
Have you heard? After 20 years glowing away, the Electrical Parade is coming back down Main Street USA, DISNEYLAND!
13:21 you may wanna pay attention to the soundtrack here. It sounds like it’s clogged or something.
Thanks for writing. I don’t know if you ever used equipment from the 80s, it was not digital🥹😁
We need to go back in time. Somebody build a time machine already!
I’m glad you liked it. And thanks for your comment.
or a new set of these floats so we could put the current ones in a museum.
Done
I Wish I Could Have Seen This In Person :'D
and you can theyre bringing it back to CA in early 2017 ill be sure to be there the first night it coming down Main Street U.S.A, CA
I still say that Disneyland made a mistake when they pulled the plug in 1996. The parade is just NOT the same. It's just not.

I love how hyped they got when they saw dumbo lol
just remember, classics comes first!
i have spotted a problem all the floats in the dumbo unit played their music out of sync with one another
@Littlescienceguy Times change, also the taste. Sometimes it hurts, specially if you are a little older. I stick a little bit more to the old times.
I have spoken with my daughter. She still has a day pass from Dsneyland in her photo album. Dated 17. July 1996

If you saw the parade back in 2017 your wish was granted.
Sorry, the exact date I do not remember. But it must have been in July 1996.

GREAT JOB! is it just my ears or did it sound like the Dumbo's Circus audio was out of synch?
yes i noticed that the dumbo unit audio was out of sync as well
Next year providing thins get better the MSEP will be celebrating 50 (non-consecutive) years at Disneyland.
I thought this was new at Magic Kingdom, but then I found out it already existed.
What's that supposed to be? 16:31-16:47
