Why No Rental Properties Poneloya & Las Penitas 🇳🇮

So many people are hoping to be able to find a cheap, moderately sized rental on the Leon Beaches of Poneloya and Las Peñitas but find that there is very little available. Why is that? What is causing the lack of obvious housing in town?

Thanks for this deep insight of the way rentals and land leases/purchases work in Nica.
We ACTUALLY own a house there and have been renting A/C Rooms for long-term or just a night in our property, called "Casa Poneloya" - we are situated at the end of the boulevard, close to the lagune and public beach / restaurant area. Our house is for Sale as we closed it down. If anyone wants to rent it for long term - we still offer it for US$450.00 per month (including a fully equipped kitchen. A/C in 3 rooms and much more) - or revive this as a business again ; it's listed for US$149,000.
