Today I bring you a true challenge! At least it sure was for me. I am working on a vintage chest on chest dresser. Nothing fancy, except for all the work it needed and ALL the headaches it gave me while working on it

I love this piece. Great job on both patience and technique. The drawers didn't fit because you had to reglue the sides. Pulling them back into shape.

Love the 2nd color. From beginning I thought the top drawers out and put in wine glass holder attached to inside top and make into a bar. Love your stencils !!!!!! Your labor of love shows. 👍

Turned out great. Fender I have bleed through, I use spray shellac on the spots and then paint over. I always find that the hardest ones make the best transformations. 👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you so much. I agree with you on both counts. I use Clear shellac a lot too and absolutely the hardest pieces are very rewarding. We are a little crazy in this business. 🤣😂

Way to go! I learned so much from your struggles! Nicely done!! (I had some bleed through this one time, and this worked for me, so thought I’d pass it on -spray shellac right over the spot. Don’t sand or anything. Just spray it on, wait for it to dry,sand it a tad then paint right over it. Totally worked.) great channel! Best of luck in your business!

I drive 60-70 miles to buy a dresser or chest for $20. When i start to work on it in a fews days o find out why it was $20. No runners, drawers have been nailed back together. I say im gonna burn it, but it all comes together in the end. Thank you for a lifes lesson on perseverance, and lemon ammonia.
Those are the worse. But lessons learned right.

Oh Eliana! I almost cried for you! On the surface it didn't look like the dresser from Hell, but it was! I'm so glad you were able to find wisdom and strength to finish and submit it in the challenge. I love it! Making the cubby gave it a much more versatile piece of furniture. If this challenge hasn't done anything, it has introduced you channel to new viewers and I hope you pick up more subscribers. I'm in!!

Super cute. All of that prep work was worth it in the end. Did it end up being nice and solid? Were all of your lines nice and straight? Were you able to retain the function? Were you able to retain the style ques that you liked? That is what prep gets you. I love all of the hard work you did and the final product. Whatever you lose on the price of the piece, money wise, you will make up in RUclips content. Always a win.

I just understand you really well. I've a couple of nightstands I do them about three month now and I'm not even half ready. Everytime happens something to them. I hope they will be pretty at the end like your dresser
Just keep working on them. Don’t give up. It will be your best work yet, you’ll see. My husband told me, babe you’re the one with the brain, it cannot win, you will. So keep that in mind.

Thank you Beverly. I redesigned this piece for sale. Unfortunately in my area it would not sell in the original condition look; so my time spent would not of paid off. I think some pieces are worth restoring tho and I chose those carefully. I hope to do one soon again. 💛

I mixed and matched two transfers from IOD and Redesign by Prima. You could do a search in their sites to see what the new designs are. I’m sure they replaced them with something just as pretty 🥰

We’re the drawers interchanged perhaps ? It looks great now
I numbered them before removing as they were; but possible. I tried them all in each cubby but the one bowed never fit in any of them again. Very weird right? I didn’t like soak them in water to have done that. Who knows 😩😂

Did you put the drawers back in the exact spot they came out of? I usually label them because older dresser drawers usually have to go back into the same spot it came out of. Don’t you hate when you find a dresser and think that there won’t be much repair work at all and then it turns into a nightmare?
Yep I label them before I remove them. This one thought it would win but I’m the one with the brain as my husband tells me and I won the battle 😂🤣
