    Did you say stores were closed? Because they absolutely were not. Fortunately for my parents, I had zero interest in a Cabbage Patch Kid 😂

      @@magmagirlzen Where I grew up, all the stores were closed on Thanksgiving Day.

      You are incorrect. Stores didn't start opening on Thanksgiving until around 2013. Never were they opened on Thanksgiving.

      You're not really Generation X are you? There were no department stores open on Thanksgiving in the 80's. We lived free and it was a much better place than today's world!
