WOW...!!! Thank you guys so much for this! I'm a sucker for vintage commercials, especially from the 80s. The fact that these are holiday commercials is the proverbial 🍒 on top. I really enjoyed seeing the old CBS Special intro at the beginning. You two are awesome, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! 🦃
Ahhh, now this just brings me back to my childhood. Great times. The best tv shows, holiday specials, and commercials. It's like taking a trip down memory lane. Thank you for uploading this, for us to see and remember.
Those Hills commercials hit hard. We had one near us and they really did have a great toy section. We didn't get a Toys R Us until many years later when I was in high school so Hills was our toy central. Thanks for this great video!! I am watching while working and remembering my 80s childhood and greatly missing those days.
Can you imagine 35 years from now ANYBODY watching the dreadfully dull commercials that are on today? Nothing but people laughing at picnics while ENDLESS side effects are announced.
@@OpenByChance I just MUTE all commercials now. So many things in this country are ruined and TV commercials are just a perfect example. Who would sit there and listen to: "Don't take Silexa if you have high blood pressure, chills, diarrhea, belching ....."
This was fantastic! Things were expensive back then! 19 inch for 259? You can get a 52 inch flat screen for that! This was great! Thanks so much I subscribed. This Chanel is a gem! You're awesome

😎 I remember that saying " Turn that frown upside down " 🙂 but I thought that was a KB Toys or Toys R Us saying! Because I've never heard of a Lionel store before. So who started that saying first Or is this another Mandela effect?
It was Lionel Playworld. We had one here for many years. My family and I visited that store often, and many of my Christmas presents came from there. I still have many of them.
When life was more gentle. Miss it.
Yes indeed
I'm the wiz and nobody beats me. Nobody.
Thanks again for the warm memories. Thanksgiving, like all holidays, is so underappreciated these days.
That's why I chose something specific for the very last commercial. Most people wouldn't understand what he was saying anymore...

@@OpenByChance I agree wholeheartedly!
It’s not even Halloween and I’m thinking of Thanksgiving!! I’m an 80’s kid so this is so refreshing to watch and reminisce. Thank
You!!
Halloween? And I've already been seeing Christmas themed merchandise in the supermarket!

I've found that the old commercials can sometimes trigger more memories than the old shows.
Thank you for this post! Made my Thanksgiving that much sweeter!
Happy holidays!

Very true! All commercials for medication and insurance, and not even interesting to watch!

at 18:28 that is the theme song to the Bill Rafferty version of Blockbusters.
I bet you can still get Starting Lineup figures for $3.99 haha. Great memories, thanks for posting.
Less than that!
These are great
Yes indeed!
I guess RUclips videos will have to suffice until someone builds a time machine so I can go back and relive this time again.
It's the best we can do!
