That's amazing. Great video, everything you said makes sense now. I've been dancing for 6 years and i understand now about what you're really talking about. The way i look at it is that 60% is when you're perfecting the choreography that you've been taught with the moves then 30% on texture and facials etc. Trying to perfect yourself. Then 10% on taking a break and reviewing back on your routine to perfect from another perspective. Thanks a lot though keep it up!
Very usefull video! Great thanks! I really like your style of giving information. So clear! No long and usless talking. Cool short titles with main thougts. It lookes so fresh! I knew most of all you said, but now I have more clear view. So I hope I'll do my dance practice more effecive. Cause now I understand it better! I'm inspired! Thank you!
woww thankyou so much for the video, really helps me and open my mind as a dancer~ When I started dancing, I have this kind of hunger and burning sensation of wanting to grow.. But as time goes on, it kinds of fade away and I was more aware of how can I use my passion to gain money, so I was always focussing on routine / choreography and never really get myself a chance to improve on my skill. It is really refreshing to watch this video and I hope you can continue to inspire more dancers out there 😊😊
Why didn't I saw this Video sooneeerrr???!!!! I really Appreciate all the vids u posted and I think all of those will help me out to be a better dancer😭❤️thank u so so muuuccchhhh😭😭😭
+Jamie Fox yes it is a good way to learn but I would recommend to also take classes and try to create your own choreography not necessarily to show publicly at the beginning but just to work on your creativity. When it's come to choreography it's good to learn other people choreography but it's also important to create your own to grow as a dancer
I think working out of my dance would be more like working on Stamina, Balance, flexibility and physical strenght than just stop dancing while 1 or 2 weeks.
Do you think some people are just not born to dance? I've been trying to learn a dance.. while at first i was excited to learn it, ive started to lose the passion.. what can I do to overcome this? I dont have a lot of time left until performance and its beginning to stress me out ):
hello sunny alright I see I believe anyone can dance and acquire a decent level overtime. The reason why I ask why did you start because is often a motivation to go through hard time in your dance journey. Even though it's just a hobby understand that it's a marathon not a sprint usually it take more than a few months before you can see good progress especially if you’ve never done hip-hop dance before so if you enjoy dancing don't give up so early keep practicing...
Yes it is possible. first thing I would suggest is to see your teaching as a training session as well if you think this way then you'll develop a way of teaching that benefit you as well as your student. I learn a lot about my dance by teaching. also it's extremely important to schedule your own dance privacy at least once a week it's your private session and it's non-negotiable find a way to integrate it in your busy schedule. Hope that help Thanks for wathing my video :)
+orlando schneider Hi Orlando, one thing for sure is that you should not stop dancing because some people told you that you can't dance. Becoming a great dancer isn't that easy it takes time so If you're really passionate about dancing just go for it and don't let other people opinions impact you too much.
Notes 1. 60% Working in your dance: Practicing and training 2. 20% Working on your dance: -Monitor your dance through: -recording yourself -getting CONSTRUCTIVE feedback -Analyze other dancers: - Look at your idols and try to see what exactly makes them amazing and how they do it -try to imitate them, but also adding your own style 3. Working out of your dance: Let your body digest the material and don't dance for abt 2 weeks -time for working on flexibility/strength etc. personal notes: Articles on "deliberate practice" are recommended

thanks so much! i am a self taught teacher and i mostly just learn choreos from youtube. is it a good way to get better?

Before I answer your question can you please tell me What type of dance did you start? and why did you start doing this dance?
Its hip hop, and dance is more of a hobby.. working on it with my friends
Everyone can do anything! All you need to do is practice

Thank you .
How to work effective when your teaching 4 days in a week every day 5 hours. Its possible to be a great dancer and teaching ?
Yes it is possible. first thing I would suggest is to see your teaching as a training session as well if you think this way then you'll develop a way of teaching that benefit you as well as your student. Beyond The Moves thank you!!
i from brazil i stop to dance because every one of my crew tell me i cant dance what i need to do just that you saying?
+orlando schneider Hi Orlando, one thing for sure is that you should not stop dancing because some people told you that you can't dance. Becoming a great dancer isn't that easy it takes time so If you're really passionate about dancing just go for it and don't let other people opinions impact you too much.
+orlando schneider Change your crew that's the first thing I'd do or don't join any at all
Danccce with Nickel Yudat thx men
nice topic
Notes
1. 60% Working in your dance: Practicing and training
2. 20% Working on your dance:
-Monitor your dance through:
-recording yourself
-getting CONSTRUCTIVE feedback
-Analyze other dancers:
- Look at your idols and try to see what exactly makes them amazing and how they do it
-try to imitate them, but also adding your own style
3. Working out of your dance:
Let your body digest the material and don't dance for abt 2 weeks
-time for working on flexibility/strength etc.
personal notes: Articles on "deliberate practice" are recommended
Can you please suggest more articles rather than deliberate training that will help in dancing?
How can I work in my dance without going to the studio?
At home would be the best place mate I do this all the time I train more at home than in a dance studio
How often should be take a break so we can do step 3?
Listen to your body take a break when you feel the need to it can be 2 days a week or 2 weeks...
@@beyondthemoves Okay, thank you so much for the advice 😁
