The great problem of going bald. Is there a problem with how you look or is it really a problem with how you look at yourself.
There are two perceptions when it comes to going bald. Some men go through a journey of both whilst some get stuck with only one perception.
In this video I want to talk about the differences with these two ways of thinking about balding and I invite you into the conversation and to think about and question the balding narrative.

Harry, I have to express my gratitude to you. I had a receding hairline quite early on in my life. Since I always had enough hair on my head beside that it didn’t really bother me. But I knew that someday I will be bald. During lockdown I stumbled across your videos which encouraged me to buzz my head and I haven’t gone back ever since. It is as if you had taken my hand and guided me though the whole process. Therefore, you saved me from a lot of stress. Many thanks!
Stay winning man 🤝
@@Baldcafe will you review the brio 0 blade and compare to other electric razors (Braun)
I had years of feeling depressed about it. Trying different short hairstyles - after a while it just got too bad and it made my forehead look massive (I already have quite a big forehead). I just shave it all now. I still sometimes feel like I wish I had hair but its been so long now that it no longer feels like I have lost something rather something I can't gain (if that makes sense?). I do love the simplicity of a shaved head, no bed hair or any nonsense like that. I have totally gotten used to it now.
I'm 23 and have been having a receding hairline and thinning on top since I was 21 or 22. Today I took the leap and shaved it all off, since it was causing me too much grief and self confidence issues. I now feel fantastic, and it was thanks to your videos which helped me to take that step. Thank you so much for giving me the confidence to do it!
You’re a lifesaver man. Never did I think I would ever watch videos like this, but I’m here! I’ve said it before, but thank you for being there for us dudes in turmoil and helping us accept ourselves. Have a good one man.
The minimalistic, low editing clearly shows how much you stand by what you say. Regardless of their own personal places in life, you want nothing but the best for everyone. Top class video. Absolute legend.
Harry!!!! I need to express my thanks to you a million times over! I am 26 and have really started to bald and finally decided to GO bald this year, and it's been a super smooth transition because of the confidence and community you instill with this channel!!!
Would love to be on an episode if you'd like. 🙂 Located in Santa Fe, NM, USA!
You have no idea how happy you make me. I always felt so insecure about things like my hair, my weight and my skin colour. I've had people make comments about them and it fucking broke me. It got worse when I was in my worst bout of depression. I've just started picking myself up but these videos literally get me through. Thank you for standing with all men, with hair or without ❤️❤️❤️
The "hang on a minute" always gets me lmao.
Great bit Harry!!! I’m okay being bald, but sometimes I let it affect what I wear. Off and on I get the thought of “oh this flannel and jean combo would look good if I had hair to go with it”. Or things like “damn I’d look better bald if I was taller” :/ it’s just all in your own head and no amount of hair will solve the true issue of self-consciousness one has.
Clothing, fitness and beardstyles helps alot. I haven't met any bald dude who looks bad when he got these things in check.
if you have to have these things in check, that means that being bald is clearly an appareance issue. Everyone here in this channel empowers bald guys but the moment y'all say you have to change your body and style to look good, that tells the reality of the ugly world of the bald men.
@@blakbear6528 While clothing, fitness and beardstyle will help alot for any man, regardless of hair status, the bold man has the most to gain.
This is because the strongest card in the hand of a bald man is his masculinity. A keen eye for good clothing, and especially a fit body, will boost his appearance of masculinity exponentially.
We bald guys will never be the "pretty boys", but we can be the badass masculine men.
If I were to guess, I think this is what OP was getting at.
@@blakbear6528 I mean, I agree. But I value appearence. Some people don't. Good for them. But why would you wanna be, let's say for instance, fat as a pig dressing like a slob? Some people just don't give a shet about appearence and more power to them but I think we should take care of our appearence, health and body.
@@blakbear6528 Uh, that's the same for everyone though with or without hair. Just having hair doesn't make you instantly attractive, you need to work on your appearance in other way.
@@blakbear6528 In my opinion it totally depends on the individual, there are ugly dudes with hair and attractive dudes with hair, it's the same with the bald man if you're an attractive male you're an attractive male, I've seen pretty good looking guys with hair lose it and then look even better bald, it all depends on the individual some guys look bad ass bald others not so much.
Please, more conversation vlogs like this one! Greatings from PORTUGAL!!!
Cheers mate. I thank you for Bald Cafe. No rain or wind are going to f*** with me anymore. "exhale..."
Yes man 👏 enjoy it all
Love this video, really helpful. Its like a private therapy session. Thanks Harry.
Pleasure to hear it mate. Nothing but the best 👍
I'd been slowly going bald the last few years, male pattern baldness so not much I could do. Spent most of my days hiding it under a hat. No matter what my barber tried to make it work it just never did. I'd only 'do it up' when I was going out for a night out or whatever. Fast forward to like 8 weeks ago? I bought a pair of clippers and just lopped it all off. I had some instant regret. But as I was shaving it shorter and shorter I could see that there wasn't any going back. Then, maybe 3 weeks ago I decided to razor shave it. Best thing I've ever done. I've had so many compliments about how it looks it's not even funny. I feel more confident now than I did before I shaved it. Absolute game changer for me
Happy to hear it man. I can totally relate 🤝
Same with me. My confidence leveled up. Feel like a tough guy
After having had long hear twice in my life (25+ cm) I wanted to try it out once again to grow it out, only to find out that in the last half year I had lost a lot of hair on my forehead. This was hard to accept and instantly made me much less confident. It all vanished as soon as I decided to go with a buzzcut. It was this channel that motivated me to accept it and just do it, and am much happier now!
This is a fantastic video, and the lesson applies to more than just balding. Basically having acceptance and loving yourself
Been watching you forever, not all hero's wear capes. Thanks
Greetings from Russia! I’ve been watching your videos last two months and I would say it is the best content I’ve ever had about my struggle. Thank you so much Harry! I’ve shaved my had 2 years ago when I lived in China but grow up it back now. I really want to do it again but afraid my friends will joke about me. Watching your videos I feel like I closer to shaved head everyday. Have a good day!
Hi, Harry. I’ve been very sick fighting antibiotic resistant double pneumonia for three weeks now and your videos have really been helping me. You’re the one that got me to shave my head 2 years ago and again when I tried to grow it back. Also, I just like you and hearing about your life.
I feel like going bald can encourage one to get in better shape and possibly force them into uncomfortable situations that slowly build confidence over time.
At least from my own experience.
@Baldcafe hairtransplant clinic might hate your work. But i love your work helping men feeling worthy living a life without hair. And helping them through mental health issues. Its save to say you save literally lifes out there. I wish you a wonderfull day if you read this. Thank you for your commitment.
Great channel man. I’ve been bald for a long time and it’s never bothered me. I like how encouraging you are to those who struggle with losing their hair, but as an old time bald dude, I must say your product reviews are on point and always fun to watch.
Thanks for continuing this very important conversation, been clean shaving w/ the Harry's razor for almost two months. Totally resonate with this-- the real issue for many dudes is believing it truly makes them ugly/less than or whatever BS we tell ourselves. Would you consider making videos getting started with the gym/basic weekly workouts?
This channel is worth millions !!! Thank u brother . I love my look after this channel . I look Vin Diesel 😎
Thank you brother for being there,
I would like to accept my bald look with u,
But I think I have some 3-4 years before that...u r fresh air.
Evening Harry! I shaved my head 2 weeks ago and this channel allowed me to transfer what I felt every day into words, and funnily enough I had THIS exact conversation with my girlfriend after I did it. She said "but recently your hair looked nice you've had some good haircuts that have complimented you and there are solutions to losing hair Joe!"... It has never been about appearance more so the though of having to think about my appearance, having to think if the haircut will do me justice or if the weather will allow me to have my hair on display! that wasted energy all day every day which wouldn't be solved by going through all that to still be concerned about what it looks like! I think she understands now but isn't shaving her head any time soon😅
Top bloke and can't wait to meet him one day
I always thought I'd be hilarious if Harry ran this channel to get funds for a hair transplant. 😂
Grade ZERo buzzcut crew checking in, where my boyz at??💪💪
thanks for this video. it is not stressed enough how dealing with hair loss involves a psychological problem.
For me, movies/shows/games really play a big factor in thinking that "not having a full head of hair" is making me a lesser person. There´s like 5 cool bald guys in media and 9000 beautiful ruler hairline brad pitt dudes.
That’s because people with a full head of hair are more attractive
Ok, I stumbled upon this channel... And as a woman who has had relationships with men with varying heads of hair, I gotta say, the vast vast majority of women and indeed people in general don't notice balding or thinning, or even a 'good' head of hair. I completely agree it's a thinking problem, your level of attractiveness is so little influenced by your hair, but when you're trapped in your own head it's so hard to realise this.
Shaving your head clearly removes the need for the obsessive anxiety some men and indeed women have for styling, grooming and checking your self judged imperfect hair. But it won't remove the reason for your strong reaction, so do see a mental health professional if you have suffered/are suffering serious anxiety or depression.
Please keep in mind what I said men, people so rarely notice your hair. Most are too busy doing their own things! They are more likely to notice a smile and welcoming eye contact and that will be the overpowering impression of you. Hair comes soooo far down the list.
If you do have self confidence issues regarding your hair and you're in a relationship, TELL THEM! We only get one chance on this earth, and it's highly likely your partner will barely blink. Also we all have insecurities, she (he/they) might tell you that she hates her toes! Sharing is good. 💕
What an absolute amazing message. Thank you for writing that!
Greetings from Florida! I am just writing to say you are a inspiration to many including myself a year ago I would never think of shaving my head, but since i found your channel I started off with the surker clipper and buzzed it and immediately felt great, then i used the Remington balder pro and liked the look again now i use a disposable razor to get even closer i guess you can say I gradually worked my way to full baldness. I now feel more comfortable in my skin i no longer look for the hat to hide my bald spots I had one in the crown and then developed a bald patch on the side of my head after I woke up from a coma after my heart attack. I tried many things the hair fibers tried to comb it different ways but no matter what I was insecure and felt like less of a man because of my bald spots. I just wanted to say thank you, i feel like I have a new lease on life and have been up keeping and grooming myself a lot more and feel great ! I want to go out now, I no longer wear hats (unless its really sunny don’t want a sunburn on my head lol) Thank you for your inspiration and support brother, god bless you and keep doing what you do I’m sure there are a lot more people out there like me that you have changed their lives including all those that have shared their transformations on your channel you are all an inspiration and thank you all!
Cheers to you Harry, you really helped me to take the plunge and stop fighting the balding and feel better about myself. I don’t shave, I buzz but it has changed me for the better and I’ll never look back 😎
Happy for you man 🤝

Texas here----I was in my early 20's when my hair began to thin. Not being vain about my appearance, I decided to shave my head and be done with the problem. That was a few years ago. I now am happier with myself bald than when I had hair. No regrets whatsoever. I'm rarely conscious of guys with full heads of hair. I enjoy being bald. Period. I want to thank you for your efforts in helping guys who are losing their hair. Life is just as great without hair.
Hey bro love the channel. I'd like to suggest a video idea as a fan of the channel. Can you go to a salon and get a hair system and wear it for a week? And you can tell the pros and cons of that method of dealing with baldness
Haha love this...
Should interview jake kent too
I’m sure I’ll give it a try one day but I can already tell you the latter. Pros - looks like I have hair Cons - hassle af

Total respect mate , as always very interesting keep up the good work mate . I recognize where you are , where I grew up 👍👍 Take care Harry ☕☕☕☕
Oct 3 2021, 2 weeks ago since I shaved my head, I never felt more liberating and confident in my life. I even went to the wedding of one of my best friends. Me and the boys even went swimming after the wedding. My friends even told me I looked amazing and resembled Kratos from God of War because I grew a goatee. I genuinely enjoyed everything. I finally accepted my flaws and loved myself more. I am now eating healthier and living a healthy lifestyle. I went back to jogging and never cared about my bald head. I realized that people really don't give a damn about how I look, because they are minding their own business just like everyone else. It's just all in my head. I never knew that shaving it all will be life changing.
To my fellow Balding/Bald men, If you are still suffering, just shave it off. Take the jump and let it go! I have been there, I know the fear and anxiety. I just grabbed the razor, yelling a battle cry while I shave my head. After you realized there is no turning back, that is the time you are liberated. You just move on, stop living in fear and become a better man
I would like to shave my head but unfortunately I can’t do it because of bumps on the back of my head .. it really hurts me deep inside of not being able to shave my head at age of 23
Every generation is controlled by fear, and we probably suffer more fear than any generation in history. These days it's the fear a potential new war, viruses, economic crashes etc. But one of our main fears is superficial; worrying about our appearance, which we mostly can't change without extensive hours of pain and lots of money.
Best thing to do is just to do you.
Great chat and great advice, as always.
I needed this 🙏
I want to see you win 👑
It's off topic but I think you should do a video on how you settled back into the uk after years in China
Also, 5:17. I think that fence might be a bit knackered
I think it makes you realise that you're not the exception to nature and the lack of control can be overwhelming. I found that it made me reevaluate a lot about myself, like I now realise how it's just a physical thing that doesn't change who I am as a person - but that is a journey and it took me a while to the point where I'm only just realising my worth as a person is not in my appearance. A direct knock on is that I've been training harder because I felt if I can't control my hair loss, I need to control something and whilst it's helped me fitness wise, that became compensatory and was unhealthy on my body. However, that was eventually beneficial because losing hair has made me more self-aware through this journey, meaning I'm now taking a recovery week every 4 or 5 weeks and being wiser about my training because I was pushing it too much. And having experienced dysmorphia because of others, it's been something I've had to work past which has made me stronger as internally. Essentially, as awful as it first is, I've now realised that the loss of control and the reaction we have sometimes leads to a greater sense of self, purpose and wisdom. Plus, I always think accepting hair loss doesn't mean you have to be bald, you can grow it out if you feel it's comfortable for you - I've done the shaved head for a year and now I'm feeling like letting it grow out a little with what's left on the top just cos :) stay strong, guys!
I've had terrible receding hairline all my 20s (NW3 on one and NW2 on other side) and I didn't give any flocks. Never spend any thoughts on it. I knew it was there. I didn't shave my head. Had mostly short length haircuts. Never even thought of trying to hide it. No problems with dating friends or anything like that. In a decade only 2 people had made a comment about it, one of them being my dad.
why the f now in my mid 30s this has suddenly started to bother me. my hairs still the same as most of the recession happened when i was 21-25 and since then it halted. i feel like maybe stumbling upon these videos have had an opposite effect on me. I was happy as I was and now I feel like I can't be till I shave it all off lol.
Just as when you were in your 20’s. You’ve absolutely nothing to be insecure about and shaving it is by no means a necessity. You’d already made it man.
Loosing hair is very depressing
I think alot of it is psychological. That’s why some people just deal with it better and don’t care. If you’re already insecure before balding, balding and being bald will kill you. I have think this is something our parents should instill in us at a young age and some don’t. Therapy will help.
Can you bring out the Baldcafe merch again?
LEGEND
Well we all have different experiences and situations. You are fortunate you have a smooth head shape and you are good looking, but most people don't have that. Also you can walk outside with your phone in your hand and no one is stealing it! Anyway good video.
Harry, I have a friend in his 30s and I can see he is struggling with hair loss. When out, he is always checking that his hair is in place. It looks so stressful for him. But I don’t want to upset him by saying something. Saying something could mess up our friendship big time. What do you advise?
Yeah this is a really tough position to be in. If you are confident it is a struggle for him then I’d say a few things. 1. Make yourself available just to hear him out of the topic or similar topics come up. Don’t try to give advice just listen and encourage him to unload some of that worry. 2.if appropriate you could lead be example, if there is something that is “grinding your gears” hit him up and ask for a chat, chances are he might follow suit.
@@Baldcafe thanks Harry. I do sometimes mention my own receding hair, which I keep cropped short, but he doesn’t pick up on it. I will take your advice and be there for him if he does want to talk. But it’s painful to watch. Keep up the great work on your channel Harry!

Sup chooms! How ya'll livin? Hope you're all nova and you're all having a preem week!
You rock the bald look. You have a great shaped head. Not all guys do.
I do think you would look fab with SMP though. And for those who don't have a great shaped head, or just don't like the bald look, SMP is a great option as you have yourself said on this channel.
I did it after living the bald look for 20 years. And hats are a thing of the past, or purely optional as a cool accessory.
I agree. someone like OP telling our ugly asses that being bald doesn't matter at all is like when a millionaire says that "we all suffer" when theres a crisis. It's simply not relatable. He's good looking and got a pretty even skull.
I might check SMP in the future but the few pics I saw from a local clinic look ugly af. Like they drew the hairlines themselves with a pen. Also they color looked different than their sides hair when there was direct sunlight. Maybe it's just bad in my country.
Nailed it. ✊ Over here in Malaysia I notice way more men with longer hair and prominent bald spots.. my assumption is they haven't been as heavily influenced by western standards of beauty and therefore just don't care as much.
I think most of us bold/ing guys go too deep into the psychology of balding. (me included)
For some (many?) of us it's just a matter of "i don't like the way i look without hair"
It's not that others won't like you ... it's that YOU don't like you.
No need to go into full psychoanalysis mode.
I just want my face to end at the top of my forehead and not at the back of my head.
As for me, i went the hair transplant way (3 years ago) ...
It's been a good 3 years but now i'm buzzing it again (my natural hair kept falling and i'm prepairing for a second transplant)
If the hair transplant would not be an option i would get a scalp micropigmentation ... again, i just want my face to be nicely/naturaly framed .
(you can find some good SMP results here on youtube. Looks natural, low cost, permanent, reversible)
Anyway, that being said, i do appreciate you trying to comunicate about this sensible topic.
Harry have you got shares in Costa? 🤣👍🏻
next time you take a walk and talk, show us around, it seems interesting!
Meh, you shouldn’t feel bad about who you are because of the way your hair looks cause you literally can’t control it, BUT nearly everyone looks better with hair. I got on fin an minoxidil early because it is relatively low risk and keeping my hair make me more attractive, but having a shaved head is infinitely better than being a balding guy. If i ever get ANY sides or it stops working i will shave my hair immediately (even did it to get over the barrier and loved the look).
By the way, getting on medication felt the same as shaving my head. It felt like i was taking control of my own life and whether it works or not, it was a weight off my shoulders. Definitely solved the issue for me.
Great video, btw. I love this walking vlog thing.
Eli - be v careful with Fin - the 2% sides stat touted in
pharma is complete BS. It's more like 100%, it will mess with your sexual functioning.
@@simonjbrand I mean it’s clearly not 100%. At this point we have guys who’ve been on fin since the 90s and i don’t think they’re all impotent (i hope not, at least). There is a large percent of people that get side effets right when they start (maybe most?) and then they subside within a month or so, but i didn’t get any. Also, you can do some serious titration adjustments while losing almost no effectiveness on the hair loss side and making risks of side effects go down substantially (something like 0.25 mg every other day instead of 1mg or 1.25 mg per day).
All that being said, some people gets sides after years, so i’m always on the lookout and will discontinue if need be. Being bald is not that bad and it is MILES better than being impotent with a great head of hair.
I’ve be on Fin and Minoxidil for 20 plus years with no side effects, it has allowed me to keep my hair. Can definitely agree the feeling is the same, controlling the situation even though it doesn’t work forever.
Have you ever done a video about laser hair removal on your head? I'm sick of shaving every day and I'm strongly considering getting this done.
Inspirational
I never went bald just had thinner hair on top than on sides. I try to make people see that it's not bald and if I was bald I would look bad. I can cut my hair on sides and back short and leave the thinner area long and it actually looks fine. It's just some random people say oh you're bald and it makes me feel like what are you talking about. I am now thinking about getting a hair transplant just to fill in some areas on top. Basically it is like a reverse mohawk of the light area on top. I do have a receding hairline though. If I can just fix that I would be fine. Bald look doesn't look good on me after people say what's wrong with your head cause it's not shaped like a round bowling ball. I think if I can get 50% off deal I would go for the transplant. Maybe there will be one deal someday.
Fck those random people who say sh^t about your hair. I had the same experience at work.
One girl rejected me because I was bald , she told me bald head guy is not a turn on for she , I was devastated in the beginning but I accepted her rejection and moved on .
Good for you, man. I think you don't need a girl like that! She is a small person....
I am going MGTOW now because I am bald
@Maximiliano Impróvola I have. It’s been great. I’ve gotten into good shape and moved halfway across the country for a new job.
It’s right that the problem is an inside one and not external. But the worst problem is the society based on appearance which leads to these inside anxieties. I see men taking hair treatment which can serious give health side effects and affect their sexual and later life only because of this society vanity. I even see people incorrectly talking about “taking medication” for hair loss when in medicine medication is a term used for a treatment of a disease. We shouldn’t play the society and business game and just embrace cleverer paths and people.
please meds are perfectly safe. If they were not they would have been removed ages ago. Nobody is forcing you to take them, you can shave your head freely. But as i see you fear monger about meds here, are you sure you are fine with bald head? If yes why fear monger here? And its not societys problem that men with hair look more attractive. Thats completely stupid thing to say.
@@saellenx3528 Finasteride perfectly safe? You should check more deeply the side effects my friend. And I’m not afraid of chemical hair treatment or not comfortable with the bald head, objectively this kind of treatment it’s not safe, which is of course a great business like hair transplants or whatever. Beauty is a subjective not objective thing and people get used to a beauty image it s everywhere in spots etc. That’s so easy to buy people dignity or opinion nowdays.
@@gualtiero7156 you are coping hard here. First you blame society, then meds, whats next you parrents for giving you genes? Finasteride is safe med and sales are showing it. Millions are buying it each Month. Ofc it can cause side effects but its not like those clowns online are fear mongering about it. Had them myself in fact all went away in couple of Months, Hormones all in check also. Beauty is more objective than you think, if not you would not have made your post above. You are actualy contradicting yourself here. If beauty is subjective why are you blaming society then for liking men with hair? Sounds like a cope to me.
@@saellenx3528 hahahah you talk like in the propaganda vain of the society. I warned of this kind of people like you, they are not really informed about things. If you’re happy to take lifelong a such stuff like Finasteride which is the only drug which is really effective against hair loss you are also free to ruin your health. Check please the side effects, they may be not noticeable in the short period but after years it’s really bad.
And I’m not contradicting myself, cause beauty is subjective, the opinion about it can be so easily manipulated by society.
@@gualtiero7156 your insecurities are realy showing here. I would delete entire post if i were you because it has no meaning anymore. You dont have to worry about me my friend i will gladly take red pill and walk around selfconfident. You can freely shave your head bro, nobody ever said you cant. I just dont get it, if you are so confident in yourself why blame society and Finasteride( you wont take it anyway). Just sounds like you want more people to join you in baldness to feel better about yourself. At least some other comments didnt fear monger or blame others for their insecurities.
What a coincidence i just shavedmyhead
It depends, if you shave it off and you like how it looks and you still look attractive then that is good but if it looks bad and you don't like it and you can't like it then you need another solution.
Will you bring the beard back?
Hey Harry - loving the video's and couldn't find a contact email on your website. Before viewing your video's I was definitely down for a transplant but you've made me think twice. My next step I had planned before I saw your vids was clippers to see what I look like with a hairless noggin'. I reckon I'm good for a clipper and stubble all over with stub Beard but have doubts about shaving my head, aside the convenience. I reckon clippers offer convenience and a look I prefer. I can relate to the vibe of putting it all to bed, clipper and go, a lot easier overall. I'm about a NW 3/4 with thinning and a bit of a solar panel. I was thinking a HT would fill the sides and Jews caps which should last around 20+ years which I would be happy with. I appreciate you think this is all puttin goff the inevitable which you feel is hair will keep tumbling, which I agree. BUt hair loss is a journey as you have said and I feel my journey may benefit me with an HT and then rock my noggin as an OAP as hair loss continues.
I hoped you could answer 2 quuestions on here bud:
1. Do you feel I am deluding myself with the HT line of thought; I know there are risks, costs, the main ones being infection and the transplant not growing well and £3k + and 1 months inconvenience while healing etc ?
2. Do you feel hair loss is a choice of two paths, one of acceptance, the other fighting a losing battle; because hair loss happens as stages and not everyone goes bald I suspect there isn't a one size fits all although I understanding acceptance being the closest to a 'cure' ?
Hey man, check bottom of description for email if you want to talk more. I would say check the “20+ years HT lasting” thing first as one thing that stands out for example is that the multiple guys on YT who make content around HT’s are all on at least 2 procedures from what I have seen (which isn’t vast so just check that with real people rather than HT companies ad’s and info)
Then I’d day just recognize what that path really is. It’s doing what you can to hide the fact *you are losing hair. There is no cure. If you stop taking the meds it’s going to end up where nature intended. If you think you will bring comfortable with that, and with knowing that people might also know you are doing those things to hide the balding reality then it’s a better space than constant hiding and living in fear. If yo are on the path of. I can accept I’m going bald but I’m willing to do whatever is needed to not look like it and I’m not ashamed or embarrassed by that then it’s all good. This is long winded but basically, don’t use any of the hair loss cover up methods to hide. That secret gets heavy over time. Own whatever you do and be proud of it. Above all I think if you can just accept the bald look and move onto bigger and better things in life then that’s the best approach. Don’t let hair loss take away useful energy for other things.
@@Baldcafe Great stuff, I appreciate the lengthy reply and good point on the YT content re 2 procedures; this is a concern, if I opt for one and then another due to dissatisfaction with first yada yada.
I don't think I would be hiding hair loss with an HT, I think it's as much if not more a case of maxing what I have. An example of this is that I have a cracked Tooth which I can either have removed or repaired with a Crown, the latter I don't really need as I have all my other Teeth. Chances I will replace this Tooth and I feel like this about Hair loss in that some guys lose a bit, others lose more and depending on age & stage this will affect the rate of further hair loss. If a guy has lost a bit and still has a lot of hair I think an HT gives someone a little more choice if they are an HT candidate. be interested on your take of this ?
Thanks bud and btw your videos are helping a lot of people
Thought you said the tooth fairy different ways🤣🤣🤣
ok... so press like and start watching>>
This guy has a good headshape and aesthetics, hes deluding so many young guys who cannot rock this bald look at all, into thinking they will look terrific bald, and could end up looking very truly what is considered by society’s standard ugly/unattractive, instead of doing medicatiom/ht route..
Like he said it himself, COPE
Thank you for wonderfully helping me to display my point. You are so hell bent on seeing this an purely an appearance issue that nothing I said in this video was able to penetrate. It might be a fear for you and a struggle but with respect don’t write off your fellow man. I’ll repeat what I said in the video. I want you to win.
@@Baldcafe I partly agree with both of you. The appearance issue might be a self-stem issue, but you can't deny that being ugly or uglier than average (eg bald and ugly like many of us) objectively harms your chances to get laid and to get better chances at life. It's been researched and proved that we are a shallow society that privileges beauty. OP is good looking and with good skull shape, so it really not much of a problem for himself.
However I agree with the video, that if you are bald (and or ugly/ uglier when bald) you better just accept yourself as you are, otherwise your mental health will suffer and put yourself in a worse position than being just bald. Investing endless amounts of money on pills, hair transplants, prosthetics and other stuff would never fix how you feel about yourself and the importance you give to your society standards.
COPE.
thanks for the walk :)
Hope you enjoyed it 👍
Pilgrim air you can't beat it
Hair dose not make us men, enjoy life ,look after our family, don't be afraid to work hard, we don't need much more 👍
I have a birth mark on the side of my head and the hairs are growing through it and i have a recedeing hairline so im scared to even think about going fully bald
My problem is that I just don’t feel very attractive anymore. I know that objectively I used to look way better with hair and that now I’m definitely not that attractive especially considering I’m a shorter guy. It’s hard cus I’ve never exactly been a hit with the ladies and having a buzzed head is really not gonna help in a competitive dating realm. I just feel so shit about that part of being bald.
I’d say I’m the same looks wise. Looked better with great hair but once hair loss was in my path that was no longer a reality. At best I could have disguised it with drugs, hair system, fibre says but I just knew I’d never fully be comfortable that way or have a energy for that. It would have held me back more than a shaved head. How are things in the other areas of life? Always things to work on. Dating is tough Take on the challenge.
A couple of things . What is 'better' looking ? You mean more handsome I suspect and why is handsome 'better' than ugly ? You also state you 'objectively' used to look way better. Do you honestly think your opinion is objective, not subjective ? Ask any woman if Jason Statham or Rock looked better with hair and I bet you will have a variety of answers
To me it is just aging. Some of us age faster than others. Should be get botox, die our beards, and get a face lift in our 30s as well? If you get a hair transplant then it will be about your acne, or your too pale, or your too chubby, or you have wrinkles on your four head, or you don't have enough money. It is endless.
I never was able to accept balding. Been on finasteride for 2 years. Mentally I don't think I could go bald if I did I can say with great confidence I would rope.
Good luck to ya man. Hope it all works out 👍
@@Baldcafe I love what you do here and this great channel. It's just difficult because there's a group of people like myself that will never be able to mentally accept it. But non the less the finasteride has been excellent and no side effects!
I’d love to talk to you. I shaved my head last week and hated it.
just wear a hat
@@billykidman1879 can’t at work. Have a birth mark on the back of my head
Worst thing to do is to wear a hat. Why did you shave it and what were your hopes going into it? Are you comparing now with the perfect haired you?
@@Baldcafe I think I’ll be happier if I get the moles removed from the back of my head.
I can’t do anything about the birth mark.
Getting into shape and tanning my head is my next goal.
Then it’s back to trying to date. I’ve been single for 5 years because of my hair insecurity. I shaved it because I was tired of using fibers and worrying about them coming off. I thought about dying the thinning hair a darker color since my hair is brown and the thinning hair is really light blonde. But now it’s too late.
It’s time to embrace the bald!
hey bro can you do a video about content creators that spread bald insecureness like teachingsmanfashions (jose zuniga), i really like that guy, but everytime it comes to hair style videos, he is always making people insecure about hair loss and shit
please i do not want you to pick a fight or something like this, just you know give your thoughts and opinions about how some content creators are spreading that insecureness
thanks dawg have a great life
I’m unaware of that guy but let me check it out. Any links would be great be great if you can.
Ah ok, I watched a few vids and they were sponsored by a hair transplant clinic…. Go figure. Why would he want you to feel insecure about hair loss…. Oh yeah, because you’ll be clicking that link in the bio getting surgery and $$$$$$ dollar signs baby!
I’m going to have a SMP consultation today, i thought I had accepted being bald... I guess not.
Make sure u see someone your skin complexion in real life not pictures before you decide..
@@dontquitpersevere323 the SMP tattoo artist had SMP. It was my first time seeing it in real life. I imagine that results can vary massively, and people’s opinions can vary in the extreme.
@@VVattonEarth what did u think, it looks good or looks bad?
@@dontquitpersevere323 when I first meet this chap I couldn’t stop staring at his head looking for flaws. So it was obviously not real to my eyes. But then I spent an hour in his company and I became used to it. Honestly i felt his particular SMP on his head was not to my taste. Too dark. It wasn’t the subtle effect I want. This biggest consideration to me is the commitment. You absolutely HAVE to shave your head down to the wood. I’m going to try shaving my head every 2 days for 2 weeks to see if I can do it.
@@VVattonEarth i hear ya sounds like a lot of work and commitment. I can't commit to shaving my head razor bald every 2 days, my head gets to irritated and makes me look like a serial killer.. i just use a zero and deal with it.
Hairloss/thinning IS an indicator of strained health though. Not tryna be a dick but look into the science. In fact hair shine, thickness, colour etc are all markers of health. If you have no hair...that says something, regardless of genetics, which tbh can be overridden.
Most people can't be asked to accept full responsibility for their health, that's the problem. It is what it is
@THERE WAS NO CHECK!!! yet genetically predisposed folks have reversed it. You're not looking deep enough
@THERE WAS NO CHECK!!! stay deluded
@THERE WAS NO CHECK!!! ain't given that knowledge out for free lol
To answer the question in the title of this video: Yes.
Stop being envious to baldies...
Hair doesn't fix problems. If you have hair you can feel bad about yourself also.
Do you like coffee?
Shave it, wear a hat and consider getting scalp micro pigmentation, job done. Having the perfect hairstyle is not everything in life! I would much rather be wealthy, healthy and happy in what I do.
Why wear a hat? Cold?
@@Baldcafe I personally only wear a hat to protect my head from extreme sunshine in the summer or extreme rain and cold in the winter. But you don't need to get a transplant. Instead you can get SMP.
ты крутой!
Just shave it guys. U will take burden right from your back
I miss your beard
If I can hold on to my hair till I'm 30 Im good ....feel it's more accepted being bald at 30
trying to pick up girls your age (under 30) while bald seems quite impossible idk
Saying this because I'm currently 22 and I'm thinking the same thing as you lmao
@@vlad.the.impaler. I was balding since the age of 19...it was always a much bigger problem for me than any girl... I promise you.. A decent girl almost doesn't care if a man is bald or not (yes, I'm talking about girls under 30)
@@vlad.the.impaler. thank God I'm not trying to pick up girls.
@@Jawz1 nah man, the reality in the dating market (especially nowadays) is hard to accept.
Girls that are 3/10 are looking for guys who are 9/10 because the girls look like 9/10 with Makeup and they overvalue themselves. To be honest I'm better off getting a cat than finding a girlfriend 2021
Cope
Hee hee
@@Baldcafe had to say it
dont go bald lol get a hair trasnplant and get on finsateride
Absolute bollocks, you can have a hair transplant and not think anything less of yourself. They can both exist, you could have done a HT and finasteride + work on yourself
I didn’t say think less of yourself. I said never even think or worry about hair loss ever again. Difficult I think when you know if you don’t keep taking the medication it will be lost. Not nice to have that hanging over you. But as I followed up. You do you and stay winning pal. Maybe that was your route and it stirred some emotions like I said?
@@Baldcafe do you really not see the illogical and delusional way of thinking you are showing? There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking medication to sustain something, you are literally doing the exact same thing you are speaking out against, you let the fear of 'what if I have to stop the medication' rule your thoughts, and choose to avoid it all completely, instead of taking the finasteride and tame the beast of uncertainty. Would you use the same argument against someone who has diabetes, or wears contacts instead of glasses. Everything decays, that doesn't mean to let yourself go and get fat as shit, you too want to look good and be healthy, so you work out and try to eat healthy, you groom yourself, make it so you're in good shape, you wear nice clothes etcetera. If you really dont care, then why do all of those things, and instead go fuck off to some monastery and become a Buddhist monk or whatever.
@@Ryy22 What if the medication has side effects? You often forget about this. Sure, you can cite the 2% study but look at the replication crisis in science (Taleb- Black Swan). If balding is a issue of vanity, then why effect my health in order to improve it? Grooming yourself and eating healthy is very different from taking a pharma drug to obtain some kind of cosmetic effect.
If everything decays then should I start getting botox in my 30s? Should I get a lefort surgery or whatever to counteract the bone loss in my maxilla? I mean we can take this to a lot of retarded dimensions, if need be.
@@AK-hf3pf Please stop this coping nonsense, because there is a replication crisis in a pseudo science field like psychology doesn't invalidate the HUGE mountain of evidence, meta analysis after meta analysis stating the chances of side effects are tiny. Yes if you get unbearable side effects like low libido and weak erections then quit, my heart and empathy truly goes out to those guys.
Because those things (considering it broadly on a societal level) don't nearly impact your looks and confidence as much as having hair, not being overweight etcetera. And yes, having a recessed mandible or recessed maxilla will horribly impact your self confidence and looks. How do you know that? Look at those k pop guys with perfect skin and hair, and look at their followers. Any sign of collagen loss should be taken as seriously as hair loss, and we should all start finding anyway to preserve it. What are you? You wake up everyday and groom yourself, brush your teeth, but you can't inject botox to save your skin? Sounds like cope to me.

What a strange comment.
Yes it's a channel about hairloss. It would be a bizarre move after his success to start doing random stuff fifa pack openings etc etc
Kind of the point of the entire channel. Brilliant comment.
