Nanay actually means Mother. You can use this to address someone way older than you (or on an female older stranger)... Kids tend to use this as their parents call their mothers as "Nanay", that's why grandchildren use it also to address their Lolas.

Translation of the FB post of Aiza: This is Aurora Verano known as lola (Grandmother) Auring of brgy Sumulong. She fill out the SAC form (Somewhat like a financial assistance form) but was disqualified. She lives alone and her house is about to collapse. Only the banana trees and some wood are the remaining support of her nipa hut. She is now just asking for food from her neighbors and few relatives but also sometimes they have anything to give thats why we are knocking to anywone with a kind heart to herlp lola Auring as much as they can. Actually mostly filipinos are big heart and generous. I have experoence when i was in saudi arabia i was working in hospital then we have patient that time she was working as maid then she was admitting in hospital nobody cared with her but only filipinos workers was helping to her regarding her medicines foods untill she returned to her country south africa. Helping people is good habit with us.
