hi ... great video.. i want to ask question, if I use normal microsft excel 2019 , not Microsoft 365 version, can I still sync my excel and edit the file from desktop to cloud??
Same problem here. When the other user is editing in desktop app, let’s say excel, I am in read-only mode and the warning caption is shown like this …‘ This workbook is locked for editing by another user’. my edit stuff are not valid while I am using with deskto app at the same time. But it works Desktop vs Browser, Browser vs Browser. Not Desktop vs Desktop! Any solution?

Yes of course possible. The file should be shared from Onedrive. Both people need internet to see each other's changes. If no internet the changes will be synced when you go online.

The desktop version should be the Office 365 version. If you use older versions like Excel 2016 or 2019, then it can create problems. I have problem to share pasword protected excel files. And also i found out that you cannot do refresh pivot table if the person you share file with doesnt have office 365 account
What is the problem in sharing password protected files? Pivot table will refresh if it has access to underlying data connection. Where is the data for the Pivot Table? Refresh will work if the Pivot can find the data.
@@efficiency365the data for pivot table is in the file and inside the same sheet. I give permission my cholic to be able to edit . however she cannot refresh the pivot table; she can do other editing like normal.

Yes you can
Can they both edit when using the desktop app?
Yes. They can. If the Desktop app is a very old version, it may not work. Try it out and let me know.

Older versions of desktop app or older version of onedrive can cause this.
Mine is the latest. No clue on what is wrong here. Have you tried it out?

There is no need for everyone to use Excel app.
Some people can work on desktop app and some people can edit the same file on web.
The desktop version should be the Office 365 version.
If you use older versions like Excel 2016 or 2019, then it can create problems.

Use Office 365 version.
Are you able to have multiple people editing the same file while using track changes?
Yes. Absolutely. If it is not working for you, check the version used by each person. Ideally, it should be Office 365 or browser version.

Check the Pivot Data source. It is pointing to the wrong location. Reselect the correct data and it will work.

Multiple slides to one slice is a manual copy paste process.. Pls explain your requirement.
one drive only alows 2gb before u have to pay
That is personal version. If you don't find it useful do not pay. You get 5gb in free version.
