  • This is how much meat we got from an average size deer.
    May be a bit Graphic for some viewers. But this is how it’s supposed to be done. Sure, there’s always lab meat and poorly raised animals from all sorts of other countries you can get in your local grocery store! Not us!
    Skinned a deer and processed the meat to put in the freezer.
    Family of all girls and dad make a day of putting some of the most healthiest and leanest meat you can get, in the freezer.

    Well done, young and your Mrs. and well done young ladies! You'll be keeping yourselves fed when lots of others around you will be very hungry and young ladies, you're learning how to do so many other things that will keep you safe and healthy! I was guessing about 60-65 pounds of meat... wasn't too far off I guess. Now it's time to make sure your garden will produce more than you need. Looking forward to seeing Tylynn and Haylee getting their first and doing their own deer dressing. Again, well done, all! And as always, thanks so much for sharing your lives with us.... greatly appreciated! Take care, be safe and God bless.

    Man i'm jalours you have 4 daughters. I have two of these 15 year young girls. Last time i showed then the base ball stick left from the front door because it was he first time they asked me why. I told them it is for boy friends who want listen to me....
    - Haha, you must had seen her faces. It was wonderful. And yes after all these years of caring for them when they were ill or had pain i'm the one who will care always for them. I told them too the 1st boy friend who will come to that door will have a conversation with me....haha.
    - That was done with us too in the old times. I mean the 60th. And i'm a tradition man so let life these traditions. I hope i will be not strong to these boys but that is my fun now as a father who cares for his babies. I love them all so much and it hurts me the most when they are sad.

    Jeff (of Gridlessness) got a tag for a Bison and the family went on a hunt to bag a buffalo. They posted the video today. If you haven't already you should check it out. This particular video is Gridlessness' best hunting video to date. The fact that your family (whom I lovingly refer to as Gridlessness south) got a white tail deer in the freezer and you also posted your hunting success today is very interesting. What with WW-3 banging on the front door I believe that your co-successes are a sign that the good Lord is making sure that the homesteading families that He has chosen to fruitfully multiply humanity into the coming next Earth Age have enough meat to get you at least through next winter. You're doing such a good job Chad. You are a great man who has a lot to be proud of. I personally hold you in the highest regard.

    Hello again! Well, see you were blessed with a beautiful deer. This video is very entertaining and educational. I have a question for you. There are many deer where I live also, inside city limits. My question is. Why do they come and just hang out in front of my yard at night? They seat in front of my yard mostly around 12:00 to 3:00 am. I see them through the home security cameras. They just lay there looking around in all directions. The neighborhood is full of home front yards. They seem to like only mine. Why Chad? Hope you have an answer. (David, Texas, USA)

    • @9252LIFE
      @9252LIFE  8 месяцев назад +1

      I believe they do that because predators like coyotes, wolves, and such won’t normally go into those places with human scent. Deer feel safer their. And maybe your grass is tastier and softer than your neighbors. 😆

    Take the neck and ribs (cut in half) and put them in a crock pot/pressure cooker for about 40 minutes then grill and bar b que it!! MY OH MY!!! There's a LOT MORE meat there than what a lot of people realize!!??

      The shot was placed near the rear of the deer and punctured the guts so I didn’t really want the rib cage area meat. The dogs don’t mind.
