Go for the Alza. My wife owns the old version of Alza and the car has been with us for 6 years now. Super reliable car, fuel consumption is good, and really useful especially having small children. I drove it to Sri Aman and went to Telok Melano without a problem. Just fuel up RM 60 and u will reach Telok Melano from Tabuan easily.

Alza has great space I own one now. Very fuel efficient and comfortable for my passengers
definitely alza for young family like u. Good things for perodua is it last for 20 years. my uncle still drive his kancil for more than 20 years now.
I used to own Alza old model & it is very spacious given the fact that I always have so many things to bring everywhere I go...then I ever rent the new model Alza for a short trip when visiting Kuching, I was amazed with the smooth speed & good acceleration too...given the choice, definitely Alza for me

Go for which ever car makes u happy! As I said before my wife’s family & friends r there & Singapore & I’m still amazed at the prices of the cars over there. 80,000RM. We bought our Porsche cayenne in Canada for $80,000

Definitely the Ativa, I've had one for 9 months already and it's awesome, also did lots of off-roading in it. The ground clearance is good, the suspension was always comfortable, and when you get back on tarmac you can cruise at 185kph on the highway its still stable.

to me, you are suitable to drive Alza.. my mother bought Alza first edition.. now the car is in 13th year and still in good condition.. spacious and fuel efficient.. suitable for long trips too.
I think Alza is a good choice. Its very economical and spacious. I have driven my brother and his family in his Alza all the way to Mukah and Sibu. No complaints !!
Since you love travelling, Aruz would be a good choice, a tad better than the new Alza: Higher ground clearance (get you through potholes and flashflood), proven dan reliable transmission (older, but easier to maintain), rear wheel drive (should be powerful enough to push you along gravel road, a little hill), built in functional roof rack (can install roof rack for extra cargo space).

To be honest Nick, in Borneo the most suitable car is 4X4 pickup truck Hilux, Triton or Isuzu. Those pickup truck can go through offroad aswell. If you go for a budget Malaysia car go for Alza and Aruz.

Aruz is for people that travel long distance. But aruz is under power when climbing a hill and it very slow. Alza is for people that drive car near city with family. But not good to go any potholes road because the ground clearance is very short. But aruz has a high ground clearance but its very under power when climbing a hill. But if want more luxury you can pick alza . But if you want to go any place to travel you can pick aruz

Model from toyota which is popular in my country for the youngster. Their models were simply a rebadged otherwise everything is from these two japanese automobile company.
i own aruz .. honestly the acceleration speed n pickup is just so-so.. well for famly car its ok .. well wht i like the is the high road clearance feel like 4x4 hehe .. i guess for u just go for the new alza.. for comfortable and spacious..
perodua is the best. i have drive my myvi since 2014. it still great.

You can try malaysia made Bulfori Ganeva, if you want a european standard malaysia made car.
Aruz higher road clearance probably better for Sarawak state roads.
New Alza.!!.that one you should buy...so now you are really becoming more Malaysian. Activa is for a person who loves enjoying and have fun ,no worries about family. Aruz for a person who thinks he is from a high class society and to show off his vehicle.
