Sorry but they clearly said right after the patients named the restaurants (22 out of 135 cases) there was an inspection, which found nothing. It could possibly be a water issue since that organism resides in water. If you guys have had a lot of rain the treatment plant would be next place to look. Also possible is the irrigation for the veggies, or or or or but 22 out of 135 cases, that’s over 100 cases NOT sourced from restaurants (meaning it could even be in your water or food in your fridge).

I would guess the water supply. We are on well water and noticed months ago after big rains you could not drink the water it would taste really sweet, and everyone including the pets would get sick. The local water test stated it is fine, but there is something in it from one of the farms further up the mountain they don’t test for doing it. We now have to buy water. Modern times for America. Number one in problems.
Someone else in the forums said A lot of herbicides have a sweet taste to them and are water soluble. With it being a well, I think the local health department can have it tested. If not, check with the Agriculture Extension office, they do a LOT of things people don’t know about.

Agreed. We don’t have city water but our city has had a big problem with the water being unfit to drink or use for food. It was so bad that I couldn’t drink the tea or sodas at local restaurants. Some of them finally resorted to installing water filter systems.

This is to say or suggest that the restaurants are not to blame but for the vendor's food items... then you look at the vendor and where they are obtaining their vegetables - what farm?

I was in NC 2 weeks ago and a few days after coming back I had horrible stomach turning pain, constant diarrhea, body aches and I threw up 2 times(the first day). The diarrhea and horrible stomach pains lasted for 3 days but I had fatigue for several more days following. I didn’t eat at a restaurant during this time but I was at a public event. There were porter potties there and we were fed but the event holders breakfast lunch and dinner. I failed to go to the doctor during this time but the timing lines up.
Me and my kids ate at a burger king in raleigh a few days ago and 5 minutes after we ate our whooper with cheees we all got very sick. We was throwing up and had bad diarrhea. After that I said nope im done with fast food...seeing this video now make me wonder if that burger king was one of em...we just moved to raliegh from Michigan so i don't exact know the address but i believe it was at a intersection of sunny and rock quarry road ugh

Farm hands go to the bathroom right in the fields where they work. You can tell these restaurants dont wash their vegetables and fruit in a produce wash before cooking. One more reason to cook your own meals at home.
It is imparative to wash the food materials before cooking them. Just because they look clean, it doesn't make them so. Use water and salt solution to do it, may be let it sit a minute or so. Heard years ago about the washing process alot of produce goes through. Many water sources have questionable contents, and oversight isn't very practical on scales like that. Maybe a decade ago, spinach was doing people over. Digging found the water was contaminated with all kinds of nasty stuff. Think for a while they began irradiating produce coming over the border. Sounds wild, but this happens alot. If the tap water is questionable, imagine what's used in the fields.
A lot of times that particular bacteria is from runoff from pastures. I am interested in knowing how this originated, but if they won’t disclose the restaurants I wouldn’t eat anywhere in that county and buy your drinking water or boil it for you and your pets until findings are revealed!

I completely agree with you. Cyclospora makes a healthy person sick, so people with compromised health could potentially die from it.

Yup. Wash in cold water with a small amount of white vinegar or a touch of baking soda. They also need to be properly dried off after cleaning.
