Well, if they had rec'd airplay, which they never did, people would've heard what really good quality music sounds like and i'm sure they'd like it, i don't understand the media radio music business at all, they play to the lowest common denominator, maybe a lot of people want to hear good music, it's not anyone's fault but the programmers! A lot more can be felt about this than said. The TV show Californication used it to great effect in a sequence that, among other things, describes the deep processes of human shame and redemption. The point that the drums explode mid song is timed in the show to correspond with a writer finally overcoming his writers block and his typewriter exploding in a kind of drumming action itself. The show's thematic idea that the writer is writing in a modern time still with a typewriter is similar to what I feel is the song's exploration of the gameification of living in the (post) modern world. This video clearly has much care into every aspect of its creation, but without becoming polished per se. I feel like its the kind of thing Quentin Tarantino would pickup for its grit alone, were it not so self deprecating and introverted thematically. Though I cant imagine the scene he could use it for. The state of peaceful depression with a tinge of despair this song invokes for me seems incompatible with the usual Tarantino scenes involving twisted mania. Nonetheless, a similarity between this and a great Tarantino scene is the feeling of absolute immersion, absolute suspension of disbelief. Probably the closest to the texture of this song he gets is with some of the music in The Hateful Eight, like the running horses, or Jennifer Jason Leigh's guitaring. But there is still an ocean between them so I will stop trying to compare. I suspect when we are moved by things like this, its because our ancestors experienced long slow periods of great difficulty, followed by pivotal moments in their lives, while today we are almost continuously faced with cycles of emotion.
@@Oh_I_Will s4 ep3 home sweet home... Becca's actor (sorry for not looking up her name) deserves an award for the acting she engages with that simultaneously gets Hank lower than he perhaps has ever been...and, actually ends his writers block.... David Duchovny manages a look on a balcony during this song that I can only describe as the weight of the world on your shoulders while you think about all the ways you yourself have added to that weight. It's like the moment he realizes he's actually gone too far this time, for forgiveness. He's discredited himself a bridge too far and knows it...like in the song he can no longer hit the game's reset button.
Several influences I hear 1. SIM-harpsichord (Beatles) 2. Drummer sounds like Nick Mason on Echoes… 3. Guitarist looks like White Album era George 4. Not sure who the guy with the undersized Izod shirt sounds like…but he’s Good!!!!
Tobias Mårtensson tsool opened for Oasis many gigs in 2002/2003 and Noel left a message tsool showed to their audience in London before their last concert in Europe before splitting up
These guys were truly great - hard to believe they never made it bigger than they did.

Still on, reunited for some tours in 2023 & 24 & expected for some festivals in 2025. I saw them in Stockholm in August.
This song deserves to go down as one of the greats, in the annals of rock. A crime that they aren’t a household name if you ask me.
It is timeless, isn't it?
oh my god this song goes so fucking deep and touched me in such an unbelievable way!
I'm genuinely surprised this does not have more views and likes
@Paganister because people used to listen shit and real artist doesn't wants views they do their art for their satisfaction
Fantastic band and great, great performance!
This Boys and Girls is real talent!!
Thanks Hank Moody for everything! LOVED THIS PIECE OF WORK❤️
This is a great song. The singer looks exactly like someone who sings this song so not disappointing seeing what the singer looks like

...and it was...and it was awesome!!!
wow
♥
I wasent in Vietnam but this was
the final minute reminds me of The Afghan Whigs, another favourite band.
Probably the other way around….
vill ha denna på in begravning
These guys were truly great - hard to believe they never made it bigger than they did. Best Regard Ola Hall
This song reminds me Johnny Cash - Hurt. Amazing song
And even hurt is not from Johnny Cash, but nine inch nails. It's a cover.
Evie I was thinking George Harrison look alike on the right. What do you think?
Joe Ezsterhaus is the singer of a band?
Gnostic rock
young Tony Iommi.
Jerry Garcia on vocals...
In lack of decent words.. INCANE
Is that Sum 41 Stevo on the bass?
Actually isn't, but shure looks like him.
KULT
Sounds a lil' like Nirvana, it's hammer.
I think with a little bit of Pink Floyd in between
Several influences I hear
1. SIM-harpsichord (Beatles)
2. Drummer sounds like Nick Mason on Echoes…
3. Guitarist looks like White Album era George
4. Not sure who the guy with the undersized Izod shirt sounds like…but he’s Good!!!!
Sounds like a Harpsichord somewhere in there.
Thanks beethoven no7 🙏
and a fat Ned Stark on vocals
Noel Gallagher brought me here
Cool! When did he mention Soundtrack?
Tobias Mårtensson tsool opened for Oasis many gigs in 2002/2003 and Noel left a message tsool showed to their audience in London before their last concert in Europe before splitting up
Ned Stark killed himself in a crowd?
that guitarist looks like George Harrison!
This not being mainstream music is concerning. After 3:30 you just let it fade in
lolbat. hahahaha jerry garcia on vocals. haha. wonderful....
Hank moody "fade in"
So sad...
damn this dude is creepy
which one? l0l
Nice. That's all. Zzzzzzzzzz ...
You couldn't be more ridiculous.
total ripoff of the band Brudjævlar
