dude, i'm just a curious person in general, i'm a water ressources engineer, that spends most of the time listeniong or creating music, and now stumbling on your channel, this is so cool, i've never designed clothes before, but now i want to just get this software and just simulate whatever the hell i can with it. The youtube algorithme is so weird, but i'm all here for it.
Great way to describe it, yeah, I guess that's what I'm doing... draping conventionally technical panels. I find it so much more enjoyable to understand and apply compared to traditional methods.
I just want to say thank you so much for this tutorial. I started learning how to sew 2 years ago and created some bags, outfits, bikinis, and even made custom sleeves for sweaters. I know how draw my designs but have no idea how to draft them out myself!! I’ve always watched tutorials on RUclips on already made pattern pieces. Thank you for making this content digestible to watch. My attention span be getting me sometimes and so many videos be hard to follow on how to make my dreams come true SEWING my own designs. You made it possible and now I have hope. I literally sat here and watched the entire hour 30. Tysm much love please keep the helpful/non gatekeeping content coming!!😭😭❤
i had to learn this lessons by drawing on paper. Sawing parts together and looking goofy. Your breakdown of CLO3D is amazing, every designer needs this content
I love how this is a program tutorial plus I get to make a dope pair of jeans along the way. The way clo tells you just how much fabric you need is just awesome, too
I just found this and thank you so much! I studied fashion design and I can easily make pattern in real life but i've had a hard time getting used to the different tools in clo. Gonna binge watch all the tutorials now jaja
you are incredible for putting together such an in depth but easy to follow guide, and this software is insanely powerful and useful and convenient. thank you for doing what you do.
yooo idk if anyone told you rhis yet but the weird naming scheme for the thickenss means additional! Add'l = Additional ! hope that helps clear things up just as you have helped me and many others clear things up hahaha
Very very helpful for me as a begginer in clo3D ❤ at first i'm really stressed out for not be able to make a simple pattern But with your teaching, it does helps alot in my progress, thank you sooooo much dude! Your teaching technic is really easy to understand
beautiful video bro. just spend the past two days learning so much from this tutorial as its the first guide i went to when i downloaded clo. thankyou so much
Thank you for this amazing video and I hope to learn more in the masterclass! When working with the pockets, every time I try to cut the inner line for the pocket bags, the pocket bags do not retain their shape but warp. What could be the problem?
Спасибо большое за ролик, это один из самых лучших роликов который посмортел по дизайнингу Thank you very much for the video, this is one of the best videos I have watched on design.
the presenter doing this should be making 300k a year and if you are not paying him that or if he doesn't own this company than he needs to start his own operation. the presenter is a damn super star when it comes to this.
First of all, thank you very much for the video, I think there are few tutorials that are so enjoyable and you learn so much! And second, it happens to me that next to the grain direction wrench, the reset symbol does not appear. How can I get it to appear? Thank you g
i have the same problem, i think its because of the new version, my comment is late but i made it work with right click and in "rotate" select "reset along grain direction"
i have a doubt, should i use the default avatar size for making the garment or should i change my preferred avatar size and start making the clothes? can we make the garment using the default avatar size and alter it later according to our preferred avatar size?
very useful video, i started with clo because of this channel and i got stuck in the pocket phase, it makes it bulky since it folds itself on the 3d view. Can anyone help?
So if i can just focus on this start making my designs here can i directly sent them to manufacturers and will they be accurate? I mean how can i take that design to the final product that’s the question
@ thank you, also I have a question regarding scaling, does the same technique apply if I’m using inches instead of mm? Or do I need to math differently?
i have a quesiton. when i try to cut a curved line, clo3d automatically switches the shape of the cut and i dont know why. i can circumvent this by using the offset as internal line to make a smaller line and cut that one but obviously thats not very intuitive and cutting curves works normally in the video. i was wondering if anyone could help me on this? thank you.
I have a big problem, I designed my pants in marvelous designer and I have no option to print from marvelous so I need to export my pattern to coo 3d in order to print it can you please help me somehow
I'm not trying to be a hater, but completely disregarding any references to traditional patternmaking feels like skipping a crucial step. There are reasons that the pattern pieces are shaped that way, and generally there are technical reasons for the shaping. It also feels that this could be teaching beginners an incorrect approach to pattern drafting that they will then have to unlearn in the future.
You're missing the point. I'm teaching people how to think rather than copy shapes they don't fully comprehend. And if this method is bad, which specific aspect of the design doesn't work for you?
Do a shot every time I say boom

Your channel is definitely the definition of underrated
Wow I can actually start my dream clothing brand now. No excuses anymore. My journey begins today
Yeah dude, just start, it's not a scary thing, as long as you're willing to give it a shot, you're already on the right track!
This is heartwarming
how is it going?

Making your first piece and putting it on for the first time is one hell of a feeling
This video is miles away from any other Clo3d tutorial on the internet. Thank you.
Check out the other ones, too!
I really like your thought process. It feels very much like draping and using a fit model but much faster.
Great way to describe it, yeah, I guess that's what I'm doing... draping conventionally technical panels. I find it so much more enjoyable to understand and apply compared to traditional methods.
better presented than my uni teachers ever did, lol

brilliant!
if i buy the masterclass do I have access to the rest of this video???
Yes, and many other pieces that we haven't shared on RUclips at all
You should make a video about balenciaga cargo pants, i think that would be very interesting for some people
Seeing how he would design the flared cargos would be very insightful.
thank you! where are the other parts of the video?
grmnt.com/masterclass
This is trouser engineering
very nice video but please be careful with brand names, logos and shapes as they are copyrighted and can get you sued or flagged/taken down by youtube
yo bro when next part will be available in masterclass ? (i have access)
By the end of the month, being edited as we speak
Where are the other chapters? Have you not made them or can it be accessed elsewhere?
Hey Nicholas, It's all here: grmnt.com/masterclass
@ thank you, also I have a question regarding scaling, does the same technique apply if I’m using inches instead of mm? Or do I need to math differently?
hi, why aren’t you using the software to put on the acne print? is the software print plug isn’t good enough? i wondered..
great video
Thank God for you.

When it comes to adding the pocket bags, when I cut the bag from the copy, the curves change and they don't line up anymore :(
i have a quesiton. when i try to cut a curved line, clo3d automatically switches the shape of the cut and i dont know why. i can circumvent this by using the offset as internal line to make a smaller line and cut that one but obviously thats not very intuitive and cutting curves works normally in the video. i was wondering if anyone could help me on this? thank you.
It's a CLO problem and they refuse to fix it for the time being. Downgrade to version 7 and stick to it.
could u pls show how to make a jeans jacket?
:D
When i Cut my Bags from the Rest the Size and Form get changed randomly. How Can i change that?
Change the version of CLO3D, it's bugged and not meant to do that.
Can I download this pattern?
thanks a lot !
this is so fucking amazing man thank you so much. finna start my dream with the homeboys now 🙏
edit: whats the outro song name?
I have a big problem, I designed my pants in marvelous designer and I have no option to print from marvelous so I need to export my pattern to coo 3d in order to print it can you please help me somehow
