@@icekidd Back in the old days of K-pop, groups like BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, EXO, etc will go to award shows together and promote on Korean shows together. Like when BTS and TWICE were on a show together back in 2016 when TWICE were rookies and signing to each other's songs behind the stage.
@@dinorex4105 K-pop has changed so much lately. Since BTS and BP broke into the US market in 2018 and 2019, K-pop has become more and more Americanized and less like true K-pop. Companies want to turn their groups into the new BTS or BP. Many 4th generation groups are being made to target the western markets like Aespa is literally SM's version of BP and SuperM is SM's version of BTS. Some Companies are pushing their already existing groups into the US market like how JYP is pushing Twice into the US market even though there orginal plan was to do that with Itzy. But it changed when JYP saw Twice gain popularity in the US especially during the Fancy and Feel Special eras.

And it's not just Twice and Blackpink, Red Velvet is like this too. And from my understanding, they're under one label and that's SM. They're not signed to any American labels. When was the last time RV was at ISAC? Same time Twice was. But yes, it's America's fault. And K-pop was always americanized even before they broke into the American market.
