It’s a fine looking machine John! It was watching your videos that encouraged me to buy my first welder (an R-Tech TIG 210 EXT) nearly five years ago and it’s given me hours of pleasure being able to fix/restore things with it. R-Tech are a fantastic company to deal with as well…. BTW, it was also watching your videos that encouraged me to buy my first lathe (a Colchester Student MK2) last year too so, according to my missus, you have a lot to answer for John! 😂
Great demonstration. I'm a bit upset as I was planning on buying the 260 next year as a hobby. Now there is the 261 for a extra £200. Kinda torn now. Although I do feel the 260 would be easier to fix outside the warranty but maybe I should call R-Tech regarding that. Would hate to have the screen die and take the whole unit out.
@doubleboost many thanks John, just ordered mine today, will arrive tomorrow, needless to say tonight will be sleepless waiting on my new toy. Cheers David
Well that's a bummer. I wonder if they will take my EXT back in part exchange? The fan on the EXT has always annoyed me with the noise, although the welder is great.

Just remind the wife that her next husband won't have to buy a welder.😉

Very useful review from a trusted reviewer. Impressive machine, takes the guesswork out of welding parameters
Bloody hell! I wish this had been available when I bought mine last year. Great test John.

Don't forget the 5 year warranty
Excellent videos John, very informative 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video John, keep'um coming.
G'day John. Very nice welder, certainly takes a lot of guesswork out of the equation. Well done.
Thanks.
Great machine. User friendly.
Looks a cracking machine

Hi David
I use blue tungsten for everything .
Lanthanated
@doubleboost many thanks John, just ordered mine today, will arrive tomorrow, needless to say tonight will be sleepless waiting on my new toy. Cheers David
Even I could weld with this machine saying that my nuclear reactor is holding up well with my old tig 😂thanks John another great review 👍👨🏻🏭
Does the machine set the gas flow or is that done at the gauge
The machine gives you a gas setting this is set with a flow meter at the regulator manually

Ring them and ask cant do any harm
hi john, Do you have to set the gas flow manually or does the welding machine set it itself ?
cheers ben.
It tells you how much gas flow it needs for each weld . This is set at the bottle using a flow metre .
Does this run at 200a on a normal 13a dmestic plug
No You need 32 amps to run at full power
John, I guess with easy set there’s no need to set post flow time?
It is all pre set for you . You can use the manual settings and set it up just as you want .
Great machine, but for £2k it should be.
Best not to let Deb weld on this welder because you might not get it back….lol!
