That many fans creates for lack of better term air vortices inside the case. Usually what happens when there's too much fans, air doesn't have a clear path out/in of case, inside the air get push and pull in many directions causing the hot air to circulate inside the case longer.

That is a good point. However if you run many fans on high enough RPM then the temps should be in control regardless of poor air flow. Either way, it is good to pay attention on the amount and installation because sometimes less is more. :)

nah, if you have pwm fan just use small rpm on the intake, and max rpm on the exhaust and the cpu cooler if it isn' aio

Bottom fans are good not only for the gpu but also for your ssd which is most likey located below your gpu. Also the talk of push and pull on air is negligle sunce pressure will move from high to low. Even without exhaust, the air will move out on its own and depending on your case, the direction of the will follow.

Literally recommended this video as my new fans are in transit lol
EDIT: It was worth it, reduced my temps and fan speeds

I have Lian Li Lancool II Mesh performance case where I put 2 Arctic P12's at the bottom.
I tested my temps a long time ago and my temp results is pretty much the same on the vid but I still keep it because it helps with dust and I have a Zotac GPU that turns off its fan so it idles at 45 c to 50 c.
I did jayz2cent's advice of using cheap incense and hold it close to the sides of the case.
without the bottom fans, there is some air being pulled from the back of the case around the PCI area. This area of the case have big holes so it's not really filtering any dusts. If I increase the speed of the 3 front fans, it would make the airflow positive pressure tho it adds more noise since it's pretty close to 1500 rpm.
with the bottom fans at 1050 rpm and other case fans at around 600 rpm (6 other fans), the air around the PCI is positive because the bottom fans is pulling air through the mesh at the side of the case so I only clean my pc every 6 months and not much dust. (I just keep the bottom fans at that speed, I didn't set it to increase speed when gaming)
It also keeps my Zotac GPU idles at 35 c instead of 50 c.

It did nothing to my gpu temperature it remained basically the same

I use a lian cool iii and they definitely keep my 4090s cooler than without.

yes, but it depend on the cases too, if you have dual chamber cases, it will help much

You should have check the gpu clocks. If it is running cooler it could also be at a higher clock speed? Was the fps the same between tests?

Does it help -> yes it does
(fyi I use 3 Noctua fans on a Lancool 3)

You lost me at "I don't find fast fans useful"

Sorry for my poor English! My point was that higher RPM does not necessarily bring much benefit if any in this case.

Fast = Loud. Plus there's diminishing returns on fan RPM and cooling. There may not be a noticeable difference in temps between 1500rpm and 3000rpm that's worth the noise and reduction of fan lifespan.

Should the fans under the gpu be intaking or outtaking?
