Thank you soooo much for your video. I had a stuck screw for the lower gear oil and I could another get it loose. First I sprayed it with liquid wrench then the next day I used your heat method. It came loose real easy. Saved me 30 bucks on an impact screwdriver which I did not want to smack against my motor. Liked and subscribed! Thanks again

6 point sockets are the tool for the job. Bringing in the pressure pliers means new bolts. Still, good tip on the micro torch! Keep fishing!

Very good tip. I've seen professional shops heat the aluminum surrounding the bolt. This makes more sense to try fist as you primarily heating the bolt which is less risk than heating all the surrounding aluminum. Thanks.

Thank you. I also wouldn't want to heat the surrounding aluminum because I don't want to burn the paint off.

Thanks the video helped a lot and with me it didn’t matter what socket I used the problem is with Yamaha the bolts they’re not 14 mm or 9/16 neither one fit tight

Put penetration oil on it. Heat the casing not the bolt. Use 6 point socket. Leave oil on it overnight if possible. Use a socket wrench. Not vice grips. Also a shock whack with a hammer helps. When it starts to turn work back an forward. In little amounts until it loosens

Single hex spanner or small single hex 10mm socket next time maybe?

Why not use a 6 point socket

I would have loved to have used a 6 point socket. I did try 6 point box end wrench. However, because of the flanges and things on the engine I could not get in there with a socket. No room. I replaced the bolts with allen key bolts to make it easier if I have to ever do it again. But, yeah. If I could put a 6 point socket on there would be great. It just wouldn't work this time.

8 point closed end wrench, you use a 16 point that will slip off
