One thing to note here for the people who have her, Eikthyrnir is immune to Slow while running, as in the status condition, he actually isn't immune to direct movement speed reductions, so Mostima with her S3 active will basically stop him in his tracks.

i found IS4 harder than IS2 and IS3 because we started from 0 and not having all the buff from "cross-cultural comparison", starter squad type and relics not unlocked.
It's a lot harder in the beginning. And because of that. It kinda snowball into late game too. But final bosses overall are... Pathetically weak or just doesn't do anything (God damn First boss is like the bear but 10x easier and don't have the "Fuck you" map wide damage. I usually don't watch guides, but when it takes me an hour just to reach the boss, only for him to go "haha no" and run past everyone ... ... And then to do it again, in spite of my best efforts to the contrary ... Yeah, I'm looking at a guide. It takes a whole hour before I can fight him, so I'll excuse myself.
I watched to the end and holy crap, he runs pretty much the whole map! There was only what, two tiles between him and the checkpoint by the end? So ridiculous. If you have Qaanipalate or anything that has levitate, you can stall him for a bit, and watch out for the item that gives 2 sec levitate when an op attacks someone. But yeah, once he run, you're doomed.
Finally beat this after multiple failed attempts, and knowing how the boss works now those were not even close to successful. If he ever moves even 5 spaces on his own, you're pretty much hosed, so my initial strategy of trying to fight him in the second column area was doomed to always fail since he runs THREE times (and I'd thought it was every third of his life so that he'd only go twice). I think the single biggest thing though is simply stalling him right at the start of the stage and then finishing everything else off before dogpiling him once he's alone. Trying to fight him while you're still getting waves of frost spiders and the sword guys is a nightmare.
Thank you for this PSA because I lost both my first and second fight to this bullshit enemy because I didn't realize he did the dash the first time and then didn't realize he do it more than once the second run
Cleared ending 2 yesterday. I've found a Ling/Skalter core to be very consistent at stalling the boss out. Just cleared ending 3 for the first time like half an hour ago. Without spoiling anything, I highly recommend two medic operators and to focus on quick burst window dpses (ideally 10 seconds or less), especially texalt/yatoalt and units like ch'en/cutter who scale very fast with spinach buffs
Just finished ending 2. Knowing this beforehand and using Shu to teleport the boss as he tries to escape helplessly made me feel like a bully. It was funny and sad lol. Thanks for this video.

I stumbled into this fight blind, and the only reason I won was because I had stun time and attack speed relics with a pure-luck placement typhon and goldenglow s3. Bullshit gotcha stage design is why I will never play anything blind except for the roguelike mode.
I've been playing arknights for a year and is4 is so difficult to the point that i cant even get past 2nd floor... I regret not pulling meta ops and just pulling who i want
Do you have Gummy? She's a good starting pick for lane holder. Do you have Perfumer? She's indispensable as a healer that can even passively heal everyone at global range. Do you have Blue Poison? Ideally Blue Poison as a starting auto-skill sniper. Otherwise, Jessica and May can work as well. And don't sleep on a properly-built Scavenger. She can hold the early wave of enemies while building up your DP so the other hard-hitting operators can be deployed to back her up. Click is also a good pick as a 4* Caster. She's got a rather high sustained dps for a 4*. And if you need meta ops, you can borrow them from your friends via Support Operators in the team comp screen before you enter the run.
from the way the dev wants you to approaching IS4, the game/mechanic surely better than IS3 you can control how you want to do with the nodes (change emergency/shop is really good imo), and also about taking more vertical node with the cost of blind/cant acces some encounter choice and also how the debuff work (collapsal thingy idk how to pronounce that) is kinda fair but..... with big but, the early floor is a bit too hard i dont see new player will enjoy this IS4 anytime soon (hell, even veteran/high lvl can find it a bit hard), probably stick to IS2/IS3 since its more noob friendly some of those sami new unit stat is a bit higher than other early floor enemies in IS2/3 not mentioning they fast af hahaha
I think there is no need to make new IS modes new player friendly at all They aren't time limited events that you can only play once. The old themes are still avaliable so there is plenty of IS for new players Personally I'd scrap the progression (or rework it so you share ingots/items across IS modes) unlocking the same things over and over in diffrent IS modes is annoying
@@misbahul9044 i found it harder because we used to have the buff (equivalent of cross-culture comparison in IS2/3), relics and squad type unlocked and yet we have to start over from 0. totally agree if we can carry over all the points for cross-culture comparison, squad type and relics from the previous IS
I guess ideally you want 2 medic and 2 defender at your disposal to make this strat even easier, so when the boss stopped running like an idiot you can deploy 2nd medic + defender and retreating the first ones, wait for them to ready for deployment, then DPS the boss, rinse and repeat.
I'm at diff 7 when i first try ending 2 on is 4 and hoo boy the stall strat failed due to lack of healing so I'm alternating to burst strat instead, really lucky with my goldenglow timing to finish the boss just an inch away from the blue box lmao.
I heard rumours about this boss, but I purposefully didn't spoil myself. If I had 2 more lifepoints I could have leaked him, but life was not that kind. But now I know. AK dev's ability to create a new "worst boss in the game" with every new IS release is astonishing lol
well im glad i decided it was ok to spoil this boss i definitely would have taken the -30 L. good to hear irene is useful she let me down vs cliff boss in jessica event cuz that guy is immune to levitate
Is4 might be your fav but Im biased against it because I keep losing and can't get far enough to get points for my passive buffs lmao Once I can actually survive Ill prolly like it more
Yeah start is a bit rough two tips 1. Runes to replace nodes with other stuff are goated. Stuck with hard emergency fight? Turn it into a shop 2. Unlike IS3 the game won't attempt to curse your entire bloodline if you deploy a single melee operator, stages are more varied so try to make a more balanced squad.
Stage overall difficulty is a bit higher compared to IS 3 and 2. But don't have too much instant go-fuck-yourself-and-perish stage compared to IS 2 and IS3. Though Fuck the early game. It's ligitimate hell compared to IS 3 and 2
Caper is bonkers in IS4. Her insane coverage and rather fast attack speed up close gives her a lot of positional flexibility. Her damage is on the low side, but often times enough to help you thin out the crowd so your heavy hitters don't have to chew through chaff mobs.
lol yes they will he has 1000 atk that's nothing most pure defenders have over 600 def at e1 Cuora is at around 670 DEF, Hoshi with s2 is higher Maxed out e2 durnar has 608 DEF (more in video cause of IS4 DEF buffs) Here's a video where I tank him with E1 Bubble ruclips.net/video/B5wHl-onPAA/видео.html Stream yesterday where I tanked him with roberta (with timestamp) ruclips.net/video/GelNTTbgoKM/видео.html
It's technically not misleading. 1000 damage is VERY little in the grand schemes of things... But he hit pretty fast. At least on par to a small art drone. Good thing he doesn't do art damage though. At least not much. But avoid using a dreadnought... They WILL die unless you have +1 medic support.
Went in blind, got him down to 5% and lost. I was expecting him to swing big and didn't bother bringing the weaker blockers. Should've focused on dp gen. He kinda feels like anti goldenglow/eyja. Eben would struggle to skip one phase but it might be possible.
My GG actually did pretty well against this guy, I just followed the guide to wall him at the beginning and kill all adds so that GG won't focus on any other enemies but him
I failed this stage because I don't bring enough ground unit, even tho i do bring a lot of bosskiller such as Mlynar and surtr yet i still failed. Skills issue indeed even after almost 4 years playing 😂
For some reason my defender keeps dying even though they aren't blocking the weebs. Like my defender is always perma frozen, so they're not doing any damage, and I just have a dedicated healer for them and all my other ops on the right side of the map. Everything will be fine, and then suddenly around wave 50-60 my defender will just get nuked
@@DrSilvergun ....I donìt know what the hell I typed. I meant the skill tree. This is what happens when you try to multitask I guess Anyway so I have to clear the run? Cuz I died to last boss and got nothing
how many block do i need for just blocked this boss? my 1st attempt blocked by hoshi forget have 4 block sliced by katana guy, 2nd try failed i didn't watch/listen till end so kinda let him pass through after he run again,3rd try Spot somehow block the boss and other 1. failed.
any amount of block works boss takes 1, i've blocked him with dc tentcles if you have more block it just gets saturated by trash mobs, just don't kill the trash so weebs can pass through
I think dreadnought will do the task wonderfully. I used E1 Surtr to block him, had the 50 atkspd fold going on and he sliced 30% of her HP with every hits. I was at BN 4.
My experience with this fucker is something special. 1st messed up on the last node and picked the top option. 2nd I had my healer die to spiders on the left. 3rd I though he runs 2 times and he leaks at around 10%. 3rd time I had horn with fortress relic didn't payed attention for a sec and spiders killed my only healer lose again. 4th I literally didn't had bodies and dp so he leaked at 10% hp again. Finally on the 5th try I beated him and then proceeded to 1st try Cresson. Yeah this mf is so tricky. Now I feel like a master in this stage.
Just so you know i failed like five time before admitting that im not that smart and have to watch this video and voila instant win on first try with so so squad, yeah this is really a public service
In this video, the trash mobs that Dur-Nar blocked didn't die but when i was doing this ending, the trash mobs that were blocked by my defender died even tho there's nothing that attacks them. Do you know why? Cause it made the Frost Weeb doesn't go through my defender and then i lost the run
@@Vadikus2424 E2 myrtle... Ehh probably Won't. Eyj alt... Uhh... Probably... With good Defender (Do beware if you are using dreadnought. Their low defense means that his attack can still kills them hard (Low defense against high attack speed and medium damage don't mix)
One of, if not THE worst designed boss in Arknights imo. Basically the only way to counter him is to stall him or get over 30HP and just intentionally leak him. I suppose you could theoretically burst him with enough damage, but doing so practically necessitates having Mostima S3M3 with maxed module, and even then you'd have to sink a hell of a lot of damage into 27 seconds. And you'd need a lot of DP too since he spawns so early and doesn't wait around for a single second. I'd be more okay with this boss if he wasn't immune to literally every single form of CC in the game, but whatever. I beat him once, now I'm never going to fight this PoS again.
Welp its why IS is getting only worse, first ISs had some challenge and u had chance to do it blind, with new its bs marathone, which mostly kill fun instead of being sone challenge. It became a mode to just farm skins
This is such a cheap and garbage gimmick boss. On low level, he's the easiest because you can just stall him but jfc on level 15, he can kill a fully charged S1M3 Jessica that's being healed by a S1M3 max level Warfarrin while having +50 attack speed buff. By that point it's not even challenging, it's just an unfair op boss
0:11 It depends on what does it mean, "better" If "better" is like how IS3 is "better" than IS2, then ew, I should avoid this mode. If it's vice versa, then you just gave me big hope for something amazing incoming.
for the record I think IS2>IS3 You didn't tell me what you actually like about IS2 over IS3 so I can't tell you if you will enjoy IS4. For me IS4 is the most fun because it gives you the most choice and control You get to use vertical paths a lot more than IS3 but there is also incentives to avoid overusing them (you get other benefits from stacking the equvalent of keys) You can manipulate the nodes themselves through the system that replaces the die and you have a ton of control over how you apply it. Game wants a more balanced squad out of you instead of IS3's "Fuck ur melee ops" approach Makes me actually think about what I want to do in a particular situation instead of the answer always being spam more fights (tho I love spamming fights in IS4) I can keep going forever, Think I'll make a more structured video on why I love IS4
@@DrSilvergunThank you for the answer. It's just that I'm too lazy to think too much about strategizing my run, and that brought me to easily complete multiple endings of IS2 and clearing the whole level rewards thing, in IS3 I have yet to get past 4th floor and I'm like level 60 of the rewards, and honestly, I can't be arsed, obtaining these rewards is so goddamn slow lol
Jokes on you, I can't even get to this boss because I can't even complete 1 fucking run. SERIOUSLY, why the hell is this version so much harder than IS2 or 3? No amount of miniscule meta upgrades can save the absolute dogshit map design of most of the levels.
i would say because we lost all the passive buff and relics that we earn from previous IS. when we got most or all of it unlocked, killing 1st boss will be a breeze like on the previous IS 1st boss (phantom and highmore)
Too lazy to make guides, but doing it for this fucker is a public service
Just say we lazy in polite way

The old themes are still avaliable so there is plenty of IS for new players
Personally I'd scrap the progression (or rework it so you share ingots/items across IS modes)
unlocking the same things over and over in diffrent IS modes is annoying
@@DrSilvergun true, you have the point there. the IS reward is no joke tho, very big way to progress
that share ingots thing might be a good idea
@@misbahul9044 i found it harder because we used to have the buff (equivalent of cross-culture comparison in IS2/3), relics and squad type unlocked and yet we have to start over from 0.
totally agree if we can carry over all the points for cross-culture comparison, squad type and relics from the previous IS
Im glad i build my Dorothy... Her S2 literally stalled him long enough for me to beat him
damn i know something was weird when i'm seeing kukikaze video, turns out that he nearly beat the boss
good thing I watched this video cos I'm sure as hell this guy is gonna ruin my run thanks
very helpful! thanks god I watched this before going for this ending. overall enjoying IS4 a lot. far better than seaborn abomination in IS3
And here I thought doing the Circus Castle IS was annoying enough, especially with the Big Sad Clock, but this boss is just ridiculous.
I guess ideally you want 2 medic and 2 defender at your disposal to make this strat even easier, so when the boss stopped running like an idiot you can deploy 2nd medic + defender and retreating the first ones, wait for them to ready for deployment, then DPS the boss, rinse and repeat.
doesn't hurt but not needed
I'm at diff 7 when i first try ending 2 on is 4 and hoo boy the stall strat failed due to lack of healing so I'm alternating to burst strat instead, really lucky with my goldenglow timing to finish the boss just an inch away from the blue box lmao.
I just visited this boss today and I setup my army at the chock point but he run like a beep and failed difficulty lvl 9 thats why im here
Are you gonna make a guide for 3rd boss because i really need it
probably will in a couple of days when I get to it myself
mostly did it for this one cause he's an ass
3rd one is legit
I heard rumours about this boss, but I purposefully didn't spoil myself. If I had 2 more lifepoints I could have leaked him, but life was not that kind. But now I know.
AK dev's ability to create a new "worst boss in the game" with every new IS release is astonishing lol
tried to use defender to block the boss and that ice sword guy just casually fck my run
don't kill the trash that gets blocked along with boss
I just encounterd him for the first time and yeah. You not gonna beat him first try unless you have above 30hp or you know what the boss does.
Dang, I couldn’t stall the boss with Cuora and Hibiscus :(
well im glad i decided it was ok to spoil this boss i definitely would have taken the -30 L. good to hear irene is useful she let me down vs cliff boss in jessica event cuz that guy is immune to levitate
My dumbass used the fordantal on boss node (3rd floor) then confused why the last boss node didn't change 😂
I've tried that too
It's reasonable to make boss mode not changable
But I also don't trust HG devs
Is4 might be your fav but Im biased against it because I keep losing and can't get far enough to get points for my passive buffs lmao
Once I can actually survive Ill prolly like it more
Yeah start is a bit rough
two tips
1. Runes to replace nodes with other stuff are goated. Stuck with hard emergency fight? Turn it into a shop
2. Unlike IS3 the game won't attempt to curse your entire bloodline if you deploy a single melee operator, stages are more varied so try to make a more balanced squad.
@@DrSilvergun Will do. Im also recommended to use reapers a bit. Thanks
@@Chrisbun1 yeah prolly not a bad idea
Find Humus meh in IS2/IS3 but he works well for me in IS4 and he's by far the weakest reaper
Misleading video, he does not do "little damage". You need a defender at least E2, E1 just wont survive even with a medic.
lol
yes they will
he has 1000 atk
that's nothing
most pure defenders have over 600 def at e1
Cuora is at around 670 DEF, Hoshi with s2 is higher
Maxed out e2 durnar has 608 DEF (more in video cause of IS4 DEF buffs)
Here's a video where I tank him with E1 Bubble
ruclips.net/video/B5wHl-onPAA/видео.html
Stream yesterday where I tanked him with roberta
(with timestamp)
ruclips.net/video/GelNTTbgoKM/видео.html
It's technically not misleading. 1000 damage is VERY little in the grand schemes of things... But he hit pretty fast. At least on par to a small art drone. Good thing he doesn't do art damage though. At least not much. But avoid using a dreadnought... They WILL die unless you have +1 medic support.
Went in blind, got him down to 5% and lost.
I was expecting him to swing big and didn't bother bringing the weaker blockers. Should've focused on dp gen.
He kinda feels like anti goldenglow/eyja. Eben would struggle to skip one phase but it might be possible.
My GG actually did pretty well against this guy, I just followed the guide to wall him at the beginning and kill all adds so that GG won't focus on any other enemies but him
@@simmie912but if you don't deal with the priority properly, S3 will target the boss before all the adds are dead.
@@benedict6962 then don't use her skill until the enemies die, or just use other ops to deal with trash mobs
@@billybob-ts2rtIf a boss mechanic shuts down your ability to activate skill for 70% of the fight, that is what you would call a "counter"
@@benedict6962No one said it was good design lol .
Trash boss design for sure .
on my first encounter i have a total buff of +150 aspd and +100% hp and the boss just ignore everything and run straight to the blue box.
to be fair
him going "fuck this shit i'm out" isn't unreasonable there
Ugh no wonder, I never get this ending.
I skip the lost and found, thinking it is slighly leaning to a bad node (IS3 experience)
are u kyostinv.. ur voice similiar with him
I failed this stage because I don't bring enough ground unit, even tho i do bring a lot of bosskiller such as Mlynar and surtr yet i still failed. Skills issue indeed even after almost 4 years playing 😂
i had everything set up for his dash but i misjudged how far he would run and placed my ops a tile before he stopped 💀💀 so close
dw about placing blockers early i'm just showing off with that
literally let myrtle tank the boss with perfumer, 1 block helps a lot
Really enjoying IS4 so far. Its a breath of fresh air after the BS that is IS3... feels like a year long nightmare has finally ended
This is just a small part of the cheese fest known as IS4.
For some reason my defender keeps dying even though they aren't blocking the weebs. Like my defender is always perma frozen, so they're not doing any damage, and I just have a dedicated healer for them and all my other ops on the right side of the map. Everything will be fine, and then suddenly around wave 50-60 my defender will just get nuked
prolly dies when a slow drone flies over ur medic
@@DrSilvergun well on my most recent run, I had +100 ASPD from runes, so idfk
@@Purplepentapus_ record it and see what happens for yourself
@@DrSilvergun welp, I cleared the battle on my very next try lol (perfect clear btw, helps to have extra deploy slots and all ops promoted)
So this might be a dumb question, but how do you get the stuff needed for the skill 3? I did a couple of attempts and got nothing....
skill 3? u mean the upgrades?
yeah just play more it goes along with score
@@DrSilvergun ....I donìt know what the hell I typed. I meant the skill tree.
This is what happens when you try to multitask I guess
Anyway so I have to clear the run? Cuz I died to last boss and got nothing
@@Simon-ur7bi nah just play more
same as getting material rewards
how many block do i need for just blocked this boss?
my 1st attempt blocked by hoshi forget have 4 block sliced by katana guy, 2nd try failed i didn't watch/listen till end so kinda let him pass through after he run again,3rd try Spot somehow block the boss and other 1. failed.
any amount of block works
boss takes 1, i've blocked him with dc tentcles
if you have more block it just gets saturated by trash mobs, just don't kill the trash so weebs can pass through
I think dreadnought will do the task wonderfully.
I used E1 Surtr to block him, had the 50 atkspd fold going on and he sliced 30% of her HP with every hits.
I was at BN 4.
immune to bind, 4 stars players worst nightmare
not immune to block, 4 stars players irrelevant stat stick boss
Is he still tankable at A15? With the (+35%) + ((+16%)^5 floors) atk he seems dangerous without hp/heal/def buffs
ofc
u also get def buffs from IS and items
just do it seriously iwth a proper high level medic and defender instead of literally whatever u have
My experience with this fucker is something special.
Did the boss make ur defender 1 block?
ofc not
o.o
durnar just blocked other things
In this video, the trash mobs that Dur-Nar blocked didn't die but when i was doing this ending, the trash mobs that were blocked by my defender died even tho there's nothing that attacks them. Do you know why? Cause it made the Frost Weeb doesn't go through my defender and then i lost the run
cause u were using hoshi s2?
random guess
obviously u damaged them with something
there's no way to know what it was unless you have a recording.
@@DrSilvergun nah I use Cuora. And ye, I wish I recorded that run. Hope that was the 1st and last time I experienced that

ok thanks
I laugh when you said `trash` 🤣
Thanks doctah
Is he easier than the first ending or harder?
He's the easiest boss in IS imo
but will probably kill you if you don't know his mechanic
that's why I call him a troll boss
This roadrunner guy really screw me up like WTF he's not looping even once!?
Thanks!
Hardest boss than Izumik & Knight
Welp its why IS is getting only worse, first ISs had some challenge and u had chance to do it blind, with new its bs marathone, which mostly kill fun instead of being sone challenge. It became a mode to just farm skins
oh yeah is it funny I beat this guy on my first try with like only 5 lives going in and I left with 1 life going out lol
Too Lazy to watch, so he is just Last Knights on budget right?
more like crownslayer with extra steps
steps are very troll tho
So DegenBrencher wannabe. Thx You.
"too lazy to watch" its 6 minutes :/
This is such a cheap and garbage gimmick boss. On low level, he's the easiest because you can just stall him but jfc on level 15, he can kill a fully charged S1M3 Jessica that's being healed by a S1M3 max level Warfarrin while having +50 attack speed buff. By that point it's not even challenging, it's just an unfair op boss
has about 2600 atk on d15
i've done it with 4* only, but it's an annoying hassle to set up a squad for it
AoM OST 🥹
I was playing in Braving Nature 5... He run a 4th time, what a bs boss.
0:11 It depends on what does it mean, "better"
If "better" is like how IS3 is "better" than IS2, then ew, I should avoid this mode.
If it's vice versa, then you just gave me big hope for something amazing incoming.
for the record I think IS2>IS3
You didn't tell me what you actually like about IS2 over IS3 so I can't tell you if you will enjoy IS4.
For me IS4 is the most fun because it gives you the most choice and control
You get to use vertical paths a lot more than IS3 but there is also incentives to avoid overusing them (you get other benefits from stacking the equvalent of keys)
You can manipulate the nodes themselves through the system that replaces the die and you have a ton of control over how you apply it.
Game wants a more balanced squad out of you instead of IS3's "Fuck ur melee ops" approach
Makes me actually think about what I want to do in a particular situation instead of the answer always being spam more fights (tho I love spamming fights in IS4)
I can keep going forever, Think I'll make a more structured video on why I love IS4
@@DrSilvergunThank you for the answer.
Back here. Tried IS4, and basically it exacerbates what made me hate IS3 compared to IS2. So even worse...
Jokes on you, I can't even get to this boss because I can't even complete 1 fucking run. SERIOUSLY, why the hell is this version so much harder than IS2 or 3? No amount of miniscule meta upgrades can save the absolute dogshit map design of most of the levels.
use Reedlter, she's not a cure all but help a lot
i would say because we lost all the passive buff and relics that we earn from previous IS.
when we got most or all of it unlocked, killing 1st boss will be a breeze like on the previous IS 1st boss (phantom and highmore)
Is4 has been kicking my ass but all things are possible with typhoon m6 module 3 and guides😤🫡
