Ignorant, naive and not knowing the consequences of life or death. Now at 42, I hold PAC in a higher regard, maybe even over Big because pacs impact on my life as a grown man is unmatched. I could relate to so many of his songs, his messages, growing up as this poor white kid, from this small desert town called Baker, Ca, who was now a teenager when PAC was blowing up. Even if I didn’t go through exactly what he went through, I could feel it and understand it.

First timer on your youtube, but as a kid from the inner city of Cleveland in the 90s. I saw first hand the things PAC talked about when it came to police brutality as well as the crack epidemic to welfare system and stuffing Black people in low income housing.
Now im a father whose kids grew up in a suburb of DC. And they have no clue of what PAC music meant. Wasnt til my son tried to tell me NBA Young boy was better than PAC. So we agreed that we would bring songs that touched on different topics sort of like a vs. It was an educational moment for him because he didnt understand why "old heads" his words thought PAC was number 1. We we were done he understood, now PAC is in his rotation needless to say NBA is not in mine.

I’m old enough to remember Jay Z, who I’m a fan of, sneak dissin Pac long after his death and being frustrated, as well as 50, who I’m also a fan of, dissin Pac by stating he was a cosplay gangster, and even if it were true, is completely unnecessary point for 50 to make. They are all intimidated by his greatness and what he means to hip-hop, and frankly, their fan base, like me. The reason we take shots at Pac is the same reason you hear folks talking dirty about Michael Jackson - we don't take the time to understand the impact of our culture creators, which in turn creates the lane to be disrespectful towards them. We're not the only culture to do this but we are the only culture who can't afford to.

What I love about Tupac the most is his transparency. This man initially fell into the trap of the narrative the industry wanted to ppush the black community. When he saw the significance of cause and effect of his influence he began to change his understanding and his message as well. They only wanted him gone when he began to talk about being unified and better people. His message of the hip-hop culture began to focus on the problems we face today and how we need to have solutions that will prevent us from being a mockery and self destructive. The very things we are seeing today in the hip-hop community. Kendricks stance towards drake foreshadows so much about that state of not just hip-hop but the people the culture was birthed around. Kendrick reminded the people to use their brains and stop letting others use it for us. Notice how everyone has things to say about pack nearly 30 years after his death and it was triggered by the one many claim as pacs successor. They brainwashed the culture so bad they gave us fight each other yet again but this time it’s about the choice of accepting a lie versus the truth. Drake was the industry’s golden child and no plant artists has survived as long as he has. The difference is that it wasn’t his own who took him down but the very culture itself who underestimated the power of influence from a truths perspective. If only Tupac was alive I’m sure “artists” like Drake wouldn’t had existed in the first place.

I'm happy you made this video! I always hated that line from the drake song and even back then I had the thought that he was purposely trying to tarnish Tupac's legacy. I think there is definitely some one or people in the industry that purposely try to tarnish Tupac and use the ignorance of younger artists to do so. A lot of media only show you his thug side on purpose. They can't have a black man being looked at as some kind of messiah. I remember when Jay Z said something about "even Tupac wore a nose ring" It sounded soo corny. lol Why did he even say something like that? A lot of the rappers are mad that no matter how popular they are, they will never be looked at and as highly regarded as Tupac!! And they don't deserve to be. Drake, Jay Z, none of them even speak on black issues the way Pac did. None of them even mention the illuminati like Pac did. Just imagine drake or Jay talking about real stuff like that. Seriously, sit and imagine. It's not going to happen! They are scared to death to go that route. Kodak and the rest of the trolls don't even deserve a mention!

2pac is held in such high regard and has been dead for 30 years. Which is why he’s still discussed, analyzed and criticized. He stood for something, and lived for something until the day he died, which puts him on almost martyr status. On top of that he was a legitimate superstar, major Hollywood films and multi platinum artist. Till this day the influence is sort of unmatched.

I was born in ‘91 I was 5 when Pac passed. I also grew up in the South. In between Mississippi and Florida. When Pac died I was too young to remember. But his music and movies are some of my earliest memories. Cause my older cousins, uncles, aunts, and parents played his music like he was still here. I have a memory when I found out he passed, I was thinking that he literally would be back one day. Like Jesus. Tupac was 1 of 1 and can’t be compared but he definitely was the Greatest of all time. Rest in power King

I didn’t like Tupac at first, but I realized it was just bc he was so universally loved. I was just being a spiteful kid; he was killed in the same year I was born, so I didn’t know and I didn’t care to listen that hard. I spewed the same bullshit I heard other haters say: he was an actor, so he’s a fake thug; he was a poet, and that shit boring; he’s saying too many words and I don’t wanna listen I just wanna vibe…. Just immature takes altogether. But after actually looking more into his life and music, I hate I played w that man’s art and legacy like that cuz he was an amazing artist that poured his heart into his craft & *that* is what made him so impactful and loved.

The reason why the young rappers and some artists disrespect 2Pac is because he was real, he made an impact on the culture, and they know that they will never be able to compare they won't be as beloved as 2pac was or is. It's jealousy, plain and simple.

I think for some people it’s easier to hate than it is to love and that’s what it really comes down to.
Pac’s music/legacy is incredibly easy to love. It just comes down to if you have the ability to appreciate it or not. I think you need a certain amount of maturity to give another person praise, and some people just aren’t there yet.

Pac is the child of the Revolution. He's a legit Black Panther legacy. That alone just sets him apart, and who could touch him with that kind of status? People who think this is about competition and numbers are the direct enemies of the struggle so of course they're gonna feel some type of way when none of their best efforts will get them anywhere close to the love Pac received because we were told to freeze them out the grassroots. They don't understand so they flip the table. Let them stay mad. They think cuz they're younger and richer that it somehow equals better but people still visit the pyramids everyday right? They're a bookmark in history. You can't compete with that, you can only make your own bookmark and ain't noooobody anywhere close to that, sorry
