    Great Video! I really struggled with getting the Rear Bump Stops installed, but finally got it! This is a must-have upgrade for sure!

    Feel your pain, having my mechanic put on the new coil springs and shocks, will have them drill holes in the front metal pads so I can put on bump stop extensions myself, going to countersink a few hockey pucks and bolt them in. The rear Bump Stop extension holes are already drilled which I can't figure out why they didn't do that to the front of JK's

    great video i always like it when you see how hard it is to do some of these upgrades, some of these channels with video editing make it look too easy. thanks for keeping it real! looking to pick up these bumpstops for my jku hoping you could tell me if they are still great in cold weather? I've seen a few reviews that say they can be just as hard as stock bumpstocks in winter thanks and just gave you a sub.

    • @aberteig
      @aberteig 3 года назад

      Thanks for the sub! I can't speak to their effectiveness in cold weather - I haven't pushed the jeep hard enough during cold winter months to tell you how they feel. I took the recommendation from @autoedit and he's right - they're great for the money.

    Hi, I noticed on your jeep you have what looks like a black fender flare extension? Is that something you added or is it just the plastic inner fender?

    • @aberteig
      @aberteig 2 года назад

      @@jamesgoss5620 it's a 3.5" Rubicon Express lift - wish I'd gone for something a little more complete with adjustable control arms etc but it's what I could afford at the time.

    In your opinion does the bottoming out aspect seem to be more of an issue in the front as compared to the rear? I was thinking about putting hydraulic bumps just in the front because it’s so easy to do and keep the metal clocks for the rear

    • @robp418
      @robp418 Год назад

      Should be pretty even imo, at least on a tj. Hydraulic bumps are badass though and if you don’t mind spending the money you should go for it. That’s being said I’ve got fox remote reservoirs and metalcloak bumps on my tj and it’ll do 50mph through medium sized whoops and take small jumps very comfortably

    Do you happen to know if they changed the amount of up travel you had?

    • @aberteig
      @aberteig 3 года назад +1

      They don't change up-travel. They are really stiff compared to the stock ones but still really squishy relative to a 5000 lb vehicle bouncing up and down.

      That's a well-known little mud hole in Richmond BC called Triangle Beach. From Westminister Hwy, South on No. 6 Road, East on Triangle Road approx. 1 Km, past the Richmond Ice Centre, to the end, curve to the left and then right, becomes "Williams Rd", at the end of that (almost at the water) is a dirt ramp to the left that takes you past some construction and a wide-open dirt area. On the left is a long dirt berm that is supposed to close off the open field of dirt but people just drive over it. There are various Motocross trails in there...you'll see a container yard for shipping containers, but that's the far boundary. it's constantly changing as there is construction going on, and no one is sure how long it will still be accessible.
