What power this song holds.. surges of current run up and down the spine every time Neil bangs the drums... vapor trails is definitely one of the greatest albums ever produced...
Incredible, deep as they go and instrumentally magnificent. One of my absolute favorite Rush songs of all time. So much depth and purposeful meaning. Thank you so much for this.
it's true, this is one powerful Rush tune... (lyrically, always a story behind the story), and music wise it gets crazy also, but hearing Alex ring out to match... then listen for it at around 4:00 to finish.... (won't even hear whats behind this unless driven through amperage... then it shakes the block : ).
Neil is Brilliant. I have listened to every rush song and wondered how he comes up with drum parts. The are complicated sometimes, but every drum part he has done, just makes pure sense. He is not Human
Neil is recognized for his world-class drumming, but one area I think he's underrated in is his song writing. He writes lyrics that don't just flow well, but are actually interesting to reflect on. A lot of bands (across any genre) are technically proficient, but don't really have much to say in their music. Rush combines technical wizardry with messages that are actually stimulating.
RUSH - Secret Touch. How we need to look at ourselves to change what is coming to us. The way out is the way in !! THE most environment warning song ever.
And may i just say this year upon reflection?!?! I connect Bravado, Secret Touch, Ghost Rider, The Garden. I think add Mystic Rhythms. Closer to the Heart? I think Neil left us an autobiography in these songs. Add yer own, as Neil would do. I just know i miss knowing he is no longer on this earth, but he is always with us!! 😎🎶🥃 I raise a glass of 12 year old Macallan in yer honor Professor!!!
Neil still the best straight ahead 4/4 rock drummer out there and Geddy Weinrib holding the bottom down and then Alex coming in with melodic riffs and using dynamic string skipping It just works and has for most of my life. We have assumed control
Comparing this to the 2013 remix, you can tell the differences with how many times Geddy says "you can never break the chain" after the second chorus, plus during the solo you can only hear the guitar in the right channel.
who else loves that introduction where it just takes to you back into an amazing state of grace and the feeling where you just feel like youre unstoppable or is it just me
Hey. Why is it that every frickin secret touch song on RUclips has the remasters or remixed version? The original was the knockout best now I get to hear all of these kooky sounds when I wanted to hear the original which has ged and al going at it in the instrumental sections! Even on Spotify it’s the remastered version which I hate to death!
Same with good ol' Nikola Tesla, although he wasn't a musician. Still, he was the one of the greatest inventors of all time and he died poor while hallucinating about magical pigeons...
Is it just me or does the first ten seconds or so of this song sound somewhat similar to the first fifteen or so of The Hollies' "Long Cool Woman In a Black Dress"?
Look at this, then look at Ariana Grande's "Problem." Then look back at this, then to Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda." What is WRONG with this world??? Rush is amazing, yet all these perverted people watch are Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus stripping for the cameras. Rush is the only good music left it seems.
deathbylife3sAnD7s Or the opposite...they have been a band for 40 years so they will play stuff from 40 years ago or 3 years ago they aren't worried about what's hot or new and they still sell out every concert
I love Rush, but I thought this album was too modern for it's own good. The loudness war strikes again. Still better than anything else not made by Rush.
I still prefer this version for some reason. If you own a good sound system and EQ it then it's great. The passion and emotion come through this record like no record I've ever heard even though albums like Hold Your Fire and Counterparts are mixed better.
My dad raised me on rush! Rush is #1 band for me 🥰🤘💫💃🏻
Same for me and my dad raised me on Rush too🖤🤘🏼😎💜
Wow beauty and brains Your dad is a good man
El mío también

Another awesome song off Vapor Trails. Long live Rush!!
one of their best choruses
I wish you'd take your mask off
I agree 🖤🖤🖤🤘🏼🤘🏼
I love Rocky Dennis and RUSH
RIP Neil
This music is one of my anthems for inspiration... There's no way out!

My favorite band - period.

I know the story behind it very well.
Great song 💖

DWSimmy they're are quite a few songs that do have meaning. Also, I 100% agree that lyrically he is underrated.
A ALMA AGRADECE !
ABRAÇO
Thanks yet again 4 another great upload!
Wait a minute.... 217 views? That's all? And AWFUL pop "music" get billions of views? Ah, I hate what the world has become...
The MEEK shall inherit the EARTH! Narrow is the gate that leads to life my friend ,sad but true. Buckle up! Amein.

A SECRET TOUCH ON MY HEART ..
the way out is a way in!!!
Life never ends.
Up down, left right, hot cold.
We are all born Immortal.
Aloha one of favorite rush songs epic🌈
The remix version is nice, however I will always take this original raw mix over that. This just has more of an Immediacy if not subtlety.
and more authentic; the remix is like Van Gogh going back and altering a painting. it has it`s place in history.
And may i just say this year upon reflection?!?!

If it is any consolation Richard, the world has always been crap. Van Gogh died poor and Mozart didn't enjoy any lavish funeral either.

Very true sir, some of us will go to the grave without having lived out our potential

DudeWithThePoop The remix really allowed this song to shine, but the original mix is no slouch either.

+Erik Poop Fuck yes lol
OMG YES
💜🖤💜

The song reminds of lost love

Just you bro
Stay inside
Look at this, then look at Ariana Grande's "Problem." Then look back at this, then to Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda." What is WRONG with this world??? Rush is amazing, yet all these perverted people watch are Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus stripping for the cameras. Rush is the only good music left it seems.
Laurie Corbi at least we have Taylor Swift. The best songwriter of her generation.
+That Corbi Kid
Rush is for the few, not for the masses for they can't comprehend nor understand greatness 'cept for what's "hot" and "new"
Scott Zaccagnini Yeah ok...
deathbylife3sAnD7s Or the opposite...they have been a band for 40 years so they will play stuff from 40 years ago or 3 years ago they aren't worried about what's hot or new and they still sell out every concert
Dont kid yourself, Neil's as big an Illuminati One-Worlder as anyone out there.
Ik vind het niet erg om aan hun muziek geketend te zijn !
TMZ popcorn bucks
Prefer the original version, the groove section towards the end just does not feel the same drum wise without the hi hat barks.
Wear a helmet.
I love Rush, but I thought this album was too modern for it's own good. The loudness war strikes again. Still better than anything else not made by Rush.
Thrifty 0 The remix fixed most of this album's problems and sounds great, though its still pretty loud
I still prefer this version for some reason. If you own a good sound system and EQ it then it's great. The passion and emotion come through this record like no record I've ever heard even though albums like Hold Your Fire and Counterparts are mixed better.
Another great flat earth song, RUSH is awesome
You again? Lol
RIP Neil
