There is most definitely a “registry” of some kind, if someone commits a crime the serial number of weapon is run, the atf is able to see/share the make, model, caliber/gauge, serial number, type of weapon, purchase date, purchase location, address of purchaser, social security number, drivers license number and some other info, they claim they only use this if a crime is committed but if you believe that shame on you.
Trust me. We all know, that registration, asking for permission, and paying an extortion fee for a “muffler” is definitely unconstitutional. There are many good people doing their best to rid these ridiculous laws and regulations currently. Do you live in a country, that lets you buy as many firearms as you wish of all different types? As far as I know the US has more gun owners than any other country in the world.
I have heard, in England you can buy a suppressor, over the counter. And even hardware stores, sell them! Just don't bring that MF'r back to the good old USA. Or Customs will arrest you!
This guy seems to know all the details, of operating the kiosk. My shop's staff, has NO F'n clue, what / how that kiosk works! And they have stopped all suppressor sales, because they claim the Kiosk, and Silencer Shop and... The ATF, are all having problems with it! Personally, I have been waiting 9 months now, with no joy! So don't believe that " You can get your suppressor in 30 days" Bull Shit, kids!
You can file form 1 through the Silencer Shop now. I did it the other day on an SBR. It was very easy and came back a week later.
