I’m 6’7 and I can indeed tell you that being tall makes bench press way harder when touching your chest. It is a lot lower for us people with long arms.
The world bench press record holder is 6’5
Julius Maddox raw wr bench presser is 6’3
If you look at the raw wr lifts there usually done by people that are around 6’ or a little taller.
@@babayaga4165 it depends, and that is also due to the fact strongman usually don’t partake in powerlifting. Thor is the deadlift wr holder record holder at 6’9. My original comment still stands height is honestly a benefit not a handicap because you can pack on more muscle mass to move larger weights. No excuses.
@@zamster1000 yea thor has the wr with a suit and straps. The raw wr is held by benedikt Magnusson hes 6’0. I consider raw wr more impressive because there lifting with their strength not the equipment i could care less how much the equipment can lift i want to see how much they can actually lift.
@@babayaga4165 my point remains height isn’t a disadvantage. Thor isn’t a power lifter and trained for strongman. The 3 main lifts are an accessory for strongman athletes not their main training. If powerlifting was their only focus they can have much higher numbers.

@@masonmalaguti3463 Nah. You not gonna learn if you don’t do it. But trying to go heavy weight before you have a good sense of the lift is dangerous. You see how they had straight legs and arched backs. Deadlift is one of the more dangerous lifts. They were just asking for a slipped disk or injured back. Even maxing out just once on deadlift not knowing how to do it is very dangerous.
