Deviled eggs have nothing to do with Easter. Not even a traditional Easter dish most people just make deviled eggs because they have eggs left over from the egg hunt.
"Deviled" food is when you use mayo and mustard to make a "salad", like egg salad, deviled ham is ham salad. My Grandma would put a big hunk of bulk balonga in the food grinder and pikles, a few radishes and then add mustard and mayo to make "deviled balony".... To add more cruch and a little color & flavor, chop some red radishes to your mixes. Also, chop some water chestnuts for crunch too!

After 2 or 3 of my eggs didnt come out perfect, I cut all of them up and made crab/egg salad!!!l lol 😄😄 and it STILL was bomb! Nobody even knew I was going for deviled eggs, so there was no disappointment!! No harm, no foul! 👍

Lately, I’ve been using my electric hand mixer to do the egg yolk mixture. It gets creamy and smooth. Easy to pipe into the eggs too!
