Say what ya want about Ronnie-he’s a pretty good judge of character. He had Dan pegged as well as Stuttering John about being a user. He calls it like he sees it and he usually isn’t far off on his instincts

It’s only by the grace of God that Ronnie never physically assaulted anyone. The show was smart enough to let KC go because it wasn’t a question of if but when he would have hurt somebody. Now, Ronnie, being much older than the rest of the staff, wouldn’t have necessarily hurt anyone too badly, but it’s crazy how many times he came within seconds of losing control. The only reason he didn’t at least lose his privilege to be in the building was because his repulsive behavior was entertaining on the radio. He was a content machine. That, and Howard’s loyalty, since he had been his personal driver for 20 years. I think we can all agree that if anything had ever gone down involving Ronnie crossing the line and entering the territory of a civil action, it would have been 100% on Howard.

21:52 it’s funny that Stern always b*tches if someone “steals” something he did but he can play America’s Next Top Wack Packer which is based on America’s Next Top Model and that’s ok. He can play Who Wants To Be A Turkish Butt Billionaire which the idea was stolen from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. He can steal whatever he wants, but when someone does it to him we have to hear the lecture about how he basically created radio yada yada yada. Most people don’t know this but he stole most of his schtick from a guy named Steve Dahl who started this type of radio in the mid 70’s. Howard isn’t original, he just did it in NY and got syndication. He WAS good at what he did no doubt, but he wasn’t the first. He also claims to have created the Producer role for Gary, but Steve Dahl had a producer.

I’ve heard this Steve Dahl argument many times and while I don’t completely disagree with it, Stern was clearly the more talented performer. It’s one thing to “steal” a particular shtick, it’s another to perfect it and succeed with it. No one knows who Steve Dahl is in comparison to Stern. The reality is that there’s nothing new under the sun and no one else was able to take whatever Dahl was doing and bring it to the level Stern did. I think we’re giving too much credit to Dahl to begin with. At what point in Stern’s career do we say he went beyond what Dahl was going 100 years ago? Or is Stern just a rip off artist forever?

@@BallPlayer97 Win Fred's Money=Stolen, Black traffic reporter=Stolen, Turkish Millionaire=Stolen, Butt Bongo Fiesta=Stolen, Bowling Beauties=Stolen. Pelican is an untalented vomit puddle who would be NOTHING without stealing bits, having lines fed from actually funny people like Jackie, having an ACTUALLY talented person like Billy West on the show, using and exploiting mentally and/or physically disabled wack packers for years without giving them a penny, Artie, Sal and Richard prank phone calls and antics.... I could go on. I don't know what "talent" you're talking about, but you sound delusional.
