Gary Moore could just bend the guitar to do his will! He could emote feeling and he could play at blistering speed when called for. He simply attacked the guitar with abandon and it was always a beautiful and amazing result.

I’ve had numerous people say that Joe Bonamassa is just a good or better guitar player than Gary Moore. I’m 65 years old. I’ve seen them both in concert and I can tell you one thing Joe couldn’t hold Gary’s nuts sack.
The magic has gone. Even Mitch, certainly the best drummer of his time, has become an ordinary drummer. Cox has never replaced Redding on the bass. Gary's proving to be a great guitarist but Hendrix was Hendrix and, apart from Jeff Beck, no one has ever gone further than that on a guitar.
