    I've ridden the SRR numerous times. It never gets old. Great experience for all kids 1 to 100. And the Santa Express is not to be missed. A real good time for all!

    Video is great! Sound...well, a lot of wind noise, but one can reduce to volume or turn it off altogether
    Thanks for posting!!

      Visually this is stunning. Agree Sound in mostly wind noise - but in the second half up close the machinery noise and limited human noise is exceptional. Uncertain what I want to do with the human that sounded a car horn at one pont.

    Great video.. I've been on that line but during the summer. The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania across from the Strassburg station is excellent. Thanks for posting
    The Cherry Hill stop is about 1 3/4 of a mile from the main station.

    Nothing like a steam engine on a cold winter morning.

    the best way to deal with snow like that is to move down south:)

    The only bad quality was the audio... needed some mic protection against the wind.

    I know this was posted a while back just wondering why they are not using the steam to melt the ice on the blade

    Hiring a snow plow to clean my kitchen freezer sounds like a good idea. What do you think about?

  • @nightlightabcd
    @nightlightabcd 3 года назад +1

    I thought they would be using a snow blower! The snow plow does not seem to be shedding very well! That is quite a scene!!

    • @scdevon
      @scdevon 3 года назад

      Wet, heavy snow plus they need more speed. Plows love to derail at grade crossings, so I understand the slow speed.

    First I thought, a steam loco 2-14-14, that's impossible. Then I came to and realized it was the date. Am I the only one?

      Yep, I wondered how deep that snow really was to need that engine...

    Ici on peut voir que ce sont des hommes jeunes qui travaillent avec des outils trop vieux pour eux.Ce chasse-neige n'est pas en fonction normale ,ce n'est qu' bloc de glace informe .. D'abord il doit être déneigé et déglacé , ensuite refroidi à l'air extérieur pour être soit arrosé avec de l'eau pour rendre sa surface glacée lisse ou bien une fois sec être ciré et/ou parafiné et polis ,pour que quand il rentre dans la neige , qu'elle soit chassée en montant sur le rostre et s'en dégage par les côté en haut pour s'éloigner le plus possible de la voie. C'est de cette manière que doit fonctionner un rostre chasse-neige.
