I’d love more gothic stuff but I believe they went more colourful in this pack because it’s v inspired by New Orleans. I do think they could have gone spookier even with bright colours. I think it was to appease people who don’t like any spooky vibes
I love the boho vibe. This pack, laundry day, movie hangout, Strangerville too. I have my sims wear the clothing all the time, so I can't wait to put them into these items. They've done pretty well with CAS so far, like the items are all usable now. I feel like earlier packs have a lot of items that are hard to use (like the bottoms because they are SO LOW). I do think a bit of gothic vibes would've done well, but hopefully we'll be getting that in a coming pack.
I feel like I'm the only one having major issues with the female tagged items. They're really beautiful - don't get me wrong - but having only crop tops as new items is such a no-go for me. And yes, we have the choice to give female bodied Sims a masculine tagged top/ jacket/ yougettheidea, but just like you said: it doesnt fit the body type AT ALL. And that's not just the case with crop tops. Yes there are more pressing issues, when it comes to being able to make yourself in-game, but a lot of people will look over the fact, that clothing is a big part of your identity. I can't even make myself accurately, because irl I'm very much an androgynous cis woman and there are loads of t-shirts, jackets etc. irl that do fit female bodytypes perfectly, but are very much in the masculine clothing section. It's a very important thing for myself and I'm assuming a lot of others, but so often overlooked in the Sims community.
as an androgynous presenting nonbinary person I'd loove to just have the clothing items shadowed and fitted differently so you can put them on Sims of any frame. Aside from the shadowing of tops, the skirts on men (and some for children even!) make such weird shapes standing off at the bottom part
totally identify with this comment! i kinda hate how they make assets designed for and on a masculine frame available in the feminine section because they so often do not sit correctly in the chest area. IRL i wear mens' stuff, and it's kinda annoying that the representation that is there is pretty superficial and barely usable bc of the awkward way it interacts with sims' bodies.
I think you got the same vibe from laundry day stuff pack because of the silhouette, the tops really remind you of the pack. However I like the patterns which reminded me a bit of Latin American culture (where I from), so I think is good to see those kind of references in the game. I don't think it was their intention, but they kind of represented that. What I would love to see is a game pack all dedicated to teens and children, like a "younger pack", different from the same millennial focused packs that we have all seen. I love your videos ;).
Thanks for the review. I wish they had given us a few creepy outfits for children. Like the striped shirt that Pugsly wears from The adam's family or the little blue dress that the twins wore in The Shining. Missed opportunity.
haha that woulda been sick!! i think vampires has a female child dress that could work if you have that pack (or there's always CC if ur not on console)
No no no, I insist we reclaim the fedora, it was originally worn by women as a symbol for the women’s rights movement and it is way too cool to be ruined by a stupid meme!!
I love the CAS. I like this version of boho better than the laundry day assets tbh. I almost never use laundry day CAS. To answer your question, I would love to see some more formal sheik (think michelle obama at the inauguration or england's royal family fashions at formal events) because those things can work so well for young sims or elder sims but there still isnt too many elder clothing options. I would also like to see more alternative fashions, stuff that pushes the envelope like rock and roll fashion, punk, lolita, modern goth, some futuristic cyber punk or rave fashions. Also specifically like urban street fashion should be included too.
was going down here to comment about this. While I love all of these assets, I wish some of them were appropriate for older sims, especially that the aesthetic is a bit retro.
This stuff actually looks really nice for once. I'm in love with the Mary janes and that maxi cardigan. It seems like the problem with the Mary janes is a mapping issue, as it shifts depending on the clothes.
Just to mentioned, Iam happy you notice how the sims team arent fair on feminine/masculin clothing when you checked for children, yes boy can by the rule of a game simulation wear this outfit, but realisticaly, no one want their little boy to wear this, except, exceptions... and nothing bad with those, but the sims team must put more effort for boy/male clothings and hairstyle that are proper for them. I know some are pretty versatil for both gender like at least two or three in this pack, but defenitely, this remove all possibilities for bald patern hairstyles that I am craving since day one in this game. We barely have some from base game, and the last one was from spa day, and was not that great. There is so much more to explore in that baldness world, and so nice and manly shape of bald spots... anyway. But overall the CAS is one of my favorite amoungs many packs...
I love those new necklaces! And that long flowy outfit with the shorts - I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't move more, but it still looks so good I might just have all my sims wear it and never let them sit again.
As a 70s kid, I remember the hair style people are calling a mullet being called a shag. It may have been something else in other areas besides the midwest USA, where I am.
the body hair looks so good with the low neckline!! i hope they'll add body hair one day to the game! can you tell who made the ones you have in your game? :) loved all the CAS items so much!!!
id love to see more modern street fashion from other countries (including androgynous stuff thats been popular for upwards of decades in certain countries) and 1890s/1920s stuff. I am a fan of the 60s-90s stuff too though, and even though it's been done in this pack + others, i say dont be shy, put some more (esp. when it comes to BB).
LISTEN....I was like WTF is wrong with those waves?! They look separated or something. LMAO We know the black swatch is so washed out looking. The only way for the black swatch to look decent is on a white sim. Any sim with some color to them can't rock the black swatch, even the clothes. That's why I'm a CC user.
I agree that the sims 4 does a lot of the same styles over and over. But I was shocked when you put realm of magic with the boho stuff with all the ripped tights, pleather, and witchy stuff. Personally I love this Scooby Doo pack
i completely agree that they need to experiment with more styles. i would love to see some more alt/goth/punk/grunge inspired stuff. boho isn't even really worn that much anymore... it was more a 2014 coachella thing lol. regardless, still love the clothes in this pack
I'd love to see more retro, vintage, and modern-gothic looks in future updates and packs. They did the "one mile wear" thing in Tiny Living, which I thought was neat. Following the same train of thought, I'd love to see more cultural fashions that can also fall under that example's neutral aesthetic ("one mile wear" is Japanese). Lagenlook is German but I can see it being used outside of that context, for example.
Eee. RUclips notifications went bonkers and didn't update properly. I almost missed this one. I love those chunky heels. I need them in my closet 👠 But I agree, more goth would make my black little heart soar
I need to know, I'm not the only mexican that saw the whole Pachuco style there, like... Straight out of Tin Tan... Please tell me I'm not the only one.
I looove the new clothes, don't get we wrong. They're stunning and have the best swatches in the entire game imo. But I really wish we got more variety in styles in the game. It's like 3rd? 4th? pack that comes with boho style. And it's a great style, but not everyone wears it. Sims 4 really needs more styles for non-young adults. I'd love to see more elders clothes, including like countryside granny with babushka headscarves or rich Tory elder fur coats, pearl necklaces etc. We need more teenage clothes, because my goth teen could only wear Realm of Magic with modern goth aesthetic and there are only a few clothes there you ca wear until it becomes repeatable. Also personally I think more coats for both men and women are a must, the fact that female Sims have like 1 coat is simply embarrassing.
Can you also report that the dogwood trees in the world of Brindleton Bay are all green, I mean saturated green, its very ugly, even the trunk. I have done a bug report on their website but no one have click on ``me too``, meanwhile I see so many youtuber having the same glitch/bug in their game. JUSTICE FOR the DOGWOOD TREE!
Molly since you have direct contact with the sims team can you get them to give us the correct pronunciation of Guidry i have heard it pronounced so many different ways
just to let you know from what I've heard atleast a handful of poc who play the sims (atleast on my gaming group on facebook) are kinda outraged over that first hairstyle you showed off
What I don't understand is why all the crops tops and bare bellies? Call me a prude, idc, but that and so many shorts makes it too young adult focused imo. Also that long coat outfit? Missed opportunity to make a dress of out of that mesh, even keeping the same patterns, I would love a dress with that sillouette. It's actually on my to-do list to make a dress like that in the future.
...you have to be kidding me? Baby hairs and edges are a big part of poc hair styles, even white people has started styling their baby hairs. You either don't have any social media, or never leave your house, or look in magazines.
I’d love more gothic stuff but I believe they went more colourful in this pack because it’s v inspired by New Orleans. I do think they could have gone spookier even with bright colours. I think it was to appease people who don’t like any spooky vibes
Agreed, I feel like this was a good middle.
I’m loving all the build buy stuff and create a sim. I’ll buy this pack for that alone.
I love the boho vibe. This pack, laundry day, movie hangout, Strangerville too. I have my sims wear the clothing all the time, so I can't wait to put them into these items. You make an excellent point! The sims needs to do better when it comes to clothing and gender expression.
I was so sad when there weren't versions of the guy's tops for ladies
as an androgynous presenting nonbinary person I'd loove to just have the clothing items shadowed and fitted differently so you can put them on Sims of any frame. Aside from the shadowing of tops, the skirts on men (and some for children even!) make such weird shapes standing off at the bottom part
@gio ! I know, and I'm bound to try and get that flowing pirate top for some of my lady sims, but it's bound to sit funny
totally identify with this comment! i kinda hate how they make assets designed for and on a masculine frame available in the feminine section because they so often do not sit correctly in the chest area. IRL i wear mens' stuff, and it's kinda annoying that the representation that is there is pretty superficial and barely usable bc of the awkward way it interacts with sims' bodies.
Sapphics were rocking the fedoras for years before the “m’lady” incels took it. Reclaim it sisters!

On the hairs, 100% the mullet looks perfect on Mortimer Goth
More Gothic stuff!!! Especially of the Regency period and Victorian period
This stuff actually looks really nice for once. I'm in love with the Mary janes and that maxi cardigan. It seems like the problem with the Mary janes is a mapping issue, as it shifts depending on the clothes.
I looked through the kids' hair catalogue yesterday and almost started crying it's so bare 😩
She shanties are just lesbian sea shanties
maybe sapphic cause alliteration
One of the hairs is literally just hair we got in Snowy Escape without the hair clips
You realize people were asking for that they likely added it so the peeps who asked for it could have it
it's not *"literally"* the same hair, but yeah i agree it's similar
Yeah but I like it with out the clips
That hair is criminal! They need to do better with black hair!
all of the clothes are amazing, and i am SO glad we got Mary Janes🥺🥺 I’m so excited for this packkkk
Ooo! I love the cas! Especially the long full body outfit for the feminine sims!
hollering she-shanties in my she-shed
I actually really love the Voodoo/Louisiana Creole vibes of this pack, even if I did want more gothy CAS pieces.
Those heeled mary janes omgggggg!!!! I am going to use the HECK out of those!!!
As a 70s kid, I remember the hair style people are calling a mullet being called a shag. It may have been something else in other areas besides the midwest USA, where I am.
It's a shag! People has just forgotten about that name I think
I am in LOVE with this stuff pack!!!
the body hair looks so good with the low neckline!! i hope they'll add body hair one day to the game! can you tell who made the ones you have in your game? :)
loved all the CAS items so much!!!
That one femenine tagged hair reminds me so much of snowy escape
id love to see more modern street fashion from other countries (including androgynous stuff thats been popular for upwards of decades in certain countries) and 1890s/1920s stuff. The waves look better in every color besides the “black” chile.. I- 😭
LISTEN....I was like WTF is wrong with those waves?! They look separated or something. LMAO We know the black swatch is so washed out looking. Omg kids can do seances??? Yesssss

That off the shoulder top I need in real life sigh.
Nice overview on CAS items. I like what I see and I don't have a preference on what the gurus should focus on.
Seeing your sim rock the body hair made me so sad that its not part of the game. :(
That black mark on the shoe was definitely a glitch because when you switched to full body it was gone.
yeah I don't know if it was the top or bottoms causing it so I'll double check and report it!
Can I just say your bedding is lovely!
i completely agree that they need to experiment with more styles. i would love to see some more alt/goth/punk/grunge inspired stuff. boho isn't even really worn that much anymore... it was more a 2014 coachella thing lol. regardless, still love the clothes in this pack

I’m the yellow skin of the long cardigan the sim looks like Jubilee!
this might be an unpopular opinion but i’m literally in love with the mullet hair that paranormal comes with!!!!! 🤩
I’m very excited for this pack
If someone showed me all the CAS items and then had me guess the pack name, I would never have guessed paranormal. 🙃
Honestly this is probably one of the best packs in ts4 !
I looove the new clothes, don't get we wrong. They're stunning and have the best swatches in the entire game imo. But I really wish we got more variety in styles in the game. I LOVE THE WAVESSSSSSSSS ❤❤❤
That's a Shag cut not a mullet but close enough...
Can we download that guy ?
To real life 😍
For the love of god teens need some love!!!!!! Game pack for them
I really wish the baby hairs were attached to the hair rather than looking glued on...
Molly since you have direct contact with the sims team can you get them to give us the correct pronunciation of Guidry i have heard it pronounced so many different ways
it's gid-ree 😊 the French pronunciation
just to let you know from what I've heard atleast a handful of poc who play the sims (atleast on my gaming group on facebook) are kinda outraged over that first hairstyle you showed off
What I don't understand is why all the crops tops and bare bellies? Call me a prude, idc, but that and so many shorts makes it too young adult focused imo. Also that long coat outfit? Missed opportunity to make a dress of out of that mesh, even keeping the same patterns, I would love a dress with that sillouette. It's actually on my to-do list to make a dress like that in the future.
Hate that there’s never anything for child sims!
There is! They went over it in the livestream today
hi molly i love u
THE HELL ARE BABY HAIRS AND WHY DO PEOPLE SEEM TO LIKE THESE THINGS?! I've never seen someone IRL with these "Baby Hairs"! I'm not a fan of the look.
...you have to be kidding me? Baby hairs and edges are a big part of poc hair styles, even white people has started styling their baby hairs. You either don't have any social media, or never leave your house, or look in magazines.
