I recently held the both and I was extremely surprised how the light Alpha X was. Great looking bows. I'm waiting for the shop to get some 60lb bows before I shoot em.
I got the carbon spyder 30 as well and so far I can’t find a reason to buy a new one. Mine is just as fast and smooth as the new ones in my opinion. For a 30” ata it’s a tack driver as well
That’s a lot of money for a bow that you don’t want to rough it up in the woods. When I go on a hunt I want to focus on the hunt and not on protecting my equipment, but at the same time, having well made tools will also put you at ease. I can’t justify that much money when I am consistently bringing home the bacon with my stick bow.
It’s not the same, different ata, different brace height, different shot, and different string angle. If you haven’t shot either for an extended period of time it’s hard to tell the difference, but if you have its very noticeable

@@jumbledj2112 the brace height on the rx8 is actually longer than the alpha x! The alpha x is faster than the rx8 so it has the upper hand there. I personally couldn’t tell a difference when I first shot them next to each on launch day but after having the alpha for a few months going to the rx8 felt completely different. Both are super solid bows, hard to pick a favorite!
I was shootin hoytz back in the early 80s... Hoyt eastern.... Silvester Stallone made them famous in the movie Rambo....they were about 250 dollars back then....I'm 70 years old now an brother to me there ain't no better.....😊
Your alpha looks way way better the rx8 is a better bow but I think you need to get a shorter ata bow so it can fit in screen when we watch you shoot😂😂😂

Think about it there is a reason why he is shooting a Hoyt because it's just not always about Mathews bows like everyone else brags about Hoyt is just as good as a Mathews and even better. @krisaunedi4920 idk man I was just shopping bows and I have shot all of them in testing them out at the local range and the matthews lift takes the cake hands down(carbon bows excluded)
Totally unbiased opinion here. But with Matthews and hoyt you are paying top dollar...I'm picking matthews. And no they aren't paying me lol if you can find a way they will pay me I would be glad to promote them but I'm just going off of what I have shot/tested

If you plan to use that rx8 for deer hunting I’d be careful with those strings deer see blue very well
Get you a bear, quarter the price of that grey one their and shoot just as good

I’ve been shooting a Hoyt carbon spyder for 10 years. Absolutely amazing.

I have had both of these bows and I sold them and bought a Darton consequence. And it outperforms both of these expensive bows by far.

Alpha x is 33” ata, rx8 is a 34” ata
