Sri Lankan Dal (Dhal) Curry , Red Lentil Dal - gluten-free, high in protein - Tasty Secrets
1. Rinse red lentils with water and add finely chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies and garlic.
2. Crack a medium-sized coconut into two halves, and cut the inside into shavings. Use one half.
3. Add water to coconut flakes and pass through a sieve to make coconut milk. Repeat some times.
4. Pour all the ingredients with coconut milk (1/2 cup).
5. Then add: cinnamon, fenugreek seeds, turmeric powder, curry powder, red chili powder, salt and curry leaves.
6. Mix and move everything into a saucepan / cauldron and cook on an open fire or stove.
7. Pour in the remaining coconut milk and cook a little more.
8. Lightly fry the minced garlic, curry leaves, and dry chili in another pan with coconut oil.
9. Add the prepared mixture to the red lentils.
Ingredients:
Red lentils - 250 g
Coconut - 1 pc
Onion 1 pc (medium)
Green chili - 1 pc
Tomato - 2 pcs
Garlic cloves - 3 pcs
Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Curry - leaves
Coconut oil - 2 tbs
Dry chili
Cinnamon
Water
