Great question! 🙌 Goals in ClickUp are high-level objectives that consist of smaller, measurable targets. There are 4 different target types that can be added to your goals: numbers, true/false, currency, and tasks. If you would like to use the Goals features to create and measure a corresponding goal for each of your OKRs, we recommend using tasks as targets! You can choose individual tasks that you would like to attach to a target, or you can select an entire List and all tasks included in that List will be attached to the goal target. ✨
@@ClickUpProductivity Yeah this doesent really explain anything. What the problem is most people think goals are okr's and most videos including zenpilot video uses goals for OKR's. What it looks like though is that the goal section is not as feature rich as using a list, so you pick your poison, use goals for OKR's and get a limited but much prettier system or use a folder and list area like this guide and get much more functionality.
Sorry for any confusion, friend! Essentially, the OKR framework is a business management tool used for planning goals and the actions that will work toward them. In this video, OKR management is set up using ClickUp tasks and Lists, while utilizing some other features helpful such as Docs and various task views as well! When Elliot refers to goals in this video, he is referring to the general concept of a goal as a measurable result of your company's efforts. However, Goals are also a feature in ClickUp and many users utilize the Goals feature to track their OKRs rather than Lists and tasks. Thanks so much for this great overview. Perfect, since this is what I am trying to implement in my company. I have a couple of questions. 1) I see you have another video from 2 months ago called: How to Manage Objectives and Key Results in Clickup ( ruclips.net/video/g70gQGqqnhc/видео.html ). Is that based on another tamplate? If so, which one do you think is simpler to implement? 2) In this video, you show how to duplicate the planning documents. How would you go about duplicating the list of activities at 4:05 for future quarters, and what do you do with the completed ones? Thank you!
Great questions! Yes, this is based on our OKR Folder template here (clickup.com/templates/search?q=OKR) which is the first one that shows up when searching OKR. You can duplicate the List by hovering over the List in the Sidebar and clicking the ellipsis icon then duplicating the List. (help.clickup.com/hc/en-us/articles/6311301775255-Duplicate-Spaces-Folders-and-Lists) Once it is duplicated, you can keep the closed tasks as closed (as long as you do not have 'Show closed tasks' enabled then they will remain hidden) or you can bulk archive them by using the Bulk Action Toolbar and then clicking 'Archive' to archive them. Archiving a task hides the task from the view, but you can click 'Show archived' at any time and unarchive them. (help.clickup.com/hc/en-us/articles/6329610622487-Archive-a-task) I wanted to add that if you have a List that you are going to use repeatedly, then you can always create a List template from your existing List and use that when creating a new List instead of duplicating the List repeatedly.
How does this relate to the goals on clickup?

@@ClickUpProductivityI didn’t really follow your response. What is the difference between Goals and the OKRs you’re showing in this video?

@@ClickUpProductivity I'm also confused, tbh. Why do we have both then?
Thank you for thr great content. Is the OKR folder a ClickUp template for download?
