March 6, 1972 i first saw Yes at Hanover Hall. Eight months left at Dook, yep Doop! Since I'm a Tar Heel! Rick, is the master of the keyboards as Chris was the Bass!
THAT SONG ELEVATES MY HEART TO THE MEMORIES OF MY GRANDFATHER WHO ALWAYS TELL ME WONDOROUS STORIES , I ALWAYS RUN TO HIM TO HEAR HIS WODOROUS STORIES, I'M 65 AND STILL MISS HIS WONDOROUS STORIES...
Possibly my favourite Yes track. Its a toss up between Wonderous Stories and Turn Of The Century. Wonderous Stories seems impossible to play too loud. You can keep turning up the volume until doors and windows are shaking but it won’t sound too loud.
Return to hear ur Wonderous Stories!!! Bada-dada-da-daaaaaaaaa AS HE SPOKE MY SPIRIT CLIMBED INTO THE SKY... THANK U RICK,AND ALL THE BOYS OF YES...🥰✌️🥃🤟
I took the lady who is now my wife to see Rick when this was recorded at Lincoln Cathedral. What a lovely evening we had. I have followed him over fifty years from our home base in West London and watched him perform many, many times. Thank you for bringing the music to so many.
I cannot resist the impression of a modern church where Rick and his piano is the evangelist who is feeding our starving souls with the hidden manna of music because man does not live on bread alone.
Wonderous stories with wonderous pianist !!!! I like the band Yes but it definitely looks a lot better with Mr.Rick Wakeman. Congratulations. I am eternally grateful to you for all the wonderful times enjoying your music.
Best ever on the keys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Fortunate enough to have heard him live many times with YES and one time with ARW. A true Master at his Craft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ricks polymoog solo on this song is just amazing!!! I can remember being a teen in the 80s and getting my 1st CD player. GFTO was on of the very first CDs in my collection... then a few years later seeing Rick, Steve, Bill, and Jon at an ABWH show was the highlight of my concert experiences!!
My first concert age 14 sans parents...... Yes in the round circa 1976 Chicago’s Intl. Amphitheater and Rick wearing his cape! What a wonderful musical journey that night sent me on. Thank you sir!
Well just the greatest player of all time ⌚ loved RW from 1975 is when I first discovered him as the YES piano and keyboard and player and a composer of the band ho yeah and now a national treasure
There are a whole slew of great keyboardists mostly during the 70s. But Rick Wakeman is the master. I think Turn of the Century is an even better example of Rick's talent. The drawback was Rick pursued recording his own works. Yes had to find replacements when they would record new material or tour. I would have liked to know what Magnification would have sounded like if Rick was involved. It seems like it was right up his alley.
"In October of 1976 I was no longer in the band Yes." So that was a No ... but then it was a Yeah ... and back to a YES! 😅 One of my favorite albums, one of my favorite tracks!
Thanks Rick for bringing me back to when I was 17 and I thought then that there was and still is no better music then YES. And I'm so glad that you came back in November of 1976. Cheers Rick......
Such a lovely song. We went to see Jon this past August and arrived late. As we walked in he was performing this song. This is one of those songs I wish was longer❤️❤️❤️
It is a beautiful piece. And if thats what got mr. Wakeman back in the band well that makes this song even more special. And a very nice piano rendition of it.
That's a wonderful track, from maybe the best Yes album...this music fits your style so well. It had not been the same with another one on the keys. Sounds great on the grand piano as well.
The perfect setting for this awesome #legendary piece of music! - THANKS so much to Rick Wakeman - he is making us dream! about our own life stories! ... blessings from Germany, Pat
Love Ric .always will but I also loved Patrick Moraz's contribution to yes and I always wonder about that grey area as regards how mu h Patrick contributed to tracks like awaken on oing for the one some say Moraz wrote quite a bit thar Ric played in that album . I loved to know what Moraz's contribution was.
I am QUITE sure that if I ever get to attend one of Rick's concerts at the end I will be thinking exactly what I was at the end of the two King's Singers concerts I attended. At the end of two hours it was basically "Oh, don't stop", both times.
Over does the arpeggios and rapid-fire grace notes. Just because he can throw in all those quick notes doesn't mean he should. And he's playing it much too fast.
And just because you say he should not doesn`t mean he shouldn`t . Simply playing a different up tempo version not a pure cover .He probably played it so many hundreds of times , he wanted to add is own touch to it , he has every right , and it worked beautifully .
Man, Rick, certainly played masterfully, but at this speed and so highly differentiated, you ultimately rob the soul of the piece. That's not a criticism, but I just don't like this kind of interpretation much, sry man.)))) You'd better play this on a Silbermann - or at least an equivalent organ, in the style of bygone but timeless times))).
No doubt, the best and most talented rock/progressive rock Keyboardist in the World ... and of course, a fantastic song.
March 6, 1972 i first saw Yes at Hanover Hall. Eight months left at Dook, yep Doop! Since I'm a Tar Heel! Rick, is the master of the keyboards as Chris was the Bass!
Rick Wakeman is a wizard.
Anderson/Wakeman the soul of Yes ¡¡
Absolutely one of my favorites. Yes wrote some of the most beautiful songs ever recorded.
The King of Prog Rock.
I like the Les Dawson touch at the end!
Two of the best keyboard players, to me. Rick Wakeman & Larry Knechtel.
Like most people my age i am 62, and i must say that was very nice. have you ever considered playing music for a living?
😅😂😅😂😅😂
😂😂😂
Great piece. Still your solo on close to the edge is my all-time favorite.
One of their top 5 greatest songs, so beautiful
Piano genius, and the best of them all Prog Masters.
to me this is a rememberance of our sacred momnts in prayer and worship
Absolutely brilliant keyboard skills.
I love the word is actually “wondrous”
I have been fortunate enough to have seen this wondrous talent many times. Enjoyed each and every one. 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧
I think I was at this gig, it was recorded and filmed at Lincoln Cathedral. Very special.
You think? It wasn't that long ago, mate. If you can't remember it clearly, you might want to lay off the cans of cider down the pub.
Keyboard magician
It's so beautiful though.
THAT SONG ELEVATES MY HEART TO THE MEMORIES OF MY GRANDFATHER WHO ALWAYS TELL ME WONDOROUS STORIES , I ALWAYS RUN TO HIM TO HEAR HIS WODOROUS STORIES, I'M 65 AND STILL MISS HIS WONDOROUS STORIES...
Anderson comes up with the melody and Wakeman polishes it up and makes it come to life.
Possibly my favourite Yes track. Its a toss up between Wonderous Stories and Turn Of The Century. Wonderous Stories seems impossible to play too loud. You can keep turning up the volume until doors and windows are shaking but it won’t sound too loud.
magic mastery.........
One of the greatest all-time Yes songs ever.
Thanks for all, Rick
Return to hear ur Wonderous Stories!!!
Bada-dada-da-daaaaaaaaa

Rick still makes magic at a keyboard. What an incredibly talented guy.

Thank Jon for bringing you back in the band to record that song!!!! It's still like a dream when I listen to it!!!
Trust i knowing who builds these astonishing instruments
Wonderous stories with wonderous pianist !!!! I like the band Yes but it definitely looks a lot better with Mr.Rick Wakeman. Congratulations. I am eternally grateful to you for all the wonderful times enjoying your music.
I can hear the words in my head as you play. If there's anyone that has wondrous stories, it's you. Fantastic!
Fantastic
wow
The best of the best keyboard players
Sublime.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful!
Thank You Rick.
Inspiring.

Brilliant. Shining. Inspired. Makes my heart sing and my soul soar. Thank you for all the years of wondrous music.
That is Great Master Rick 🎹 👏👍👌👋
I remember being so happy when you rejoined. I ended up seeing five shows in 77'. The band sounded incredible. Thanks Rick.
I love all the progressive rock bands
Thank you for this magic moment, Rick!

Rick Wakeman the best!
Onya Rick! God bless you mate!
Master, I can also hear '' that'' Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata in Your game .Sir, You are a brilliant musician. And I love you ! Cheers from Poland !
I’ve always listened and watched in amazement at this man’s talent.
I think I just got a bit of "dust" in my eyes. ❤
Silvy🙏❤️ wonderous stories....ever and ever! Love you so much 😘❤️🌹
Rick at his best. I love it❤
Fabulous, just fabulous.
I don’t know the song. Heard it playing, but never listened. What a super and beautiful performance. Thank you
"In October of 1976 I was no longer in the band Yes." So that was a No ... but then it was a Yeah ... and back to a YES! 😅 One of my favorite albums, one of my favorite tracks!
Since the very first time I heard your music back in early 70's, you have given us unique gifts! Thanks Mr Wakeman.
Thanks Rick for bringing me back to when I was 17 and I thought then that there was and still is no better music then YES. And I'm so glad that you came back in November of 1976. Cheers Rick......
One of the best yes songs this time done on the piano only
Fantastic please enjoy
Beautiful!
Looking forward to hearing your wonderous stories on Wednesday Rick!
Just wonderfull.

The only album i have of Rick’s is King Arthur. Moves me every time I listen to it.
Rick, like always perfectly
The perfect setting for this awesome #legendary piece of music! - THANKS so much to Rick Wakeman - he is making us dream! about our own life stories! ... blessings from Germany, Pat
Bloody hell, Rick...Were you trying to get the world record for playing it in the shortest time?
♥️♥️♥️
Emocionante ... Sensacional!!

Essa música é mágica!!✌❤🎼🇧🇷
Always a pleasure to hear Mr. Wakeman playing. Is it the opening theme for the interviews series "Face to face with Rick Wakeman", isn't it?
Muy buena , gracias
Wonderful, no words
Música Linda !!!
🇧🇷 💚 💛
Love it👍
Did you include that "Apassionata" bit there on purpose? 🙂 It came out fantastic!
Even better than the Magenta cover. Love it.
Great song!😂
He played it wonderfully (of course) but too fast. Listen to it at .75, it's so much better.
Who's buried here? behind the roped off
I don’t know for sure but an unknown soldier occupies a similar spot in Westminster.
To quick!
A little too fast, IMO. Wish he would slow it down just a bit.
Bit too fast for me. Still brilliant though.
I can't see his hands 🙄😐😁
Over does the arpeggios and rapid-fire grace notes. Just because he can throw in all those quick notes doesn't mean he should. And he's playing it much too fast.
