- An intimate look at the children and widows of ISIL who languish in camps, ostracised by their own communities.
Tens of thousands of children were born into or lived under ISIL’s (ISIS) reign in Iraq and Syria between 2014 and 2017.
Now, many of those young people are languishing in camps or in Iraqi communities where they are social outcasts - some orphaned and some with their widowed mothers.
There are several tens of thousands of “children of ISIS”, whose families had pledged allegiance to the caliphate. They’re stigmatized, and their existence is not legally recognized in “Post-ISIS” Iraq. Without I.D., they have no access to medical care, food assistance, nor, above all, to education. This unprecedented investigation offers a voice to those minors, the social outcasts of a new Iraq that only a handful of NGOs are trying to help. Around the Mosul area, in Iraqi Kurdistan and Northeastern Syria, this documentary takes the form of a journey on war-torn lands, to meet this generation who endured the reign of the Islamic State, a war for liberation and its resulting violence, and now tries to find a future, between resilience and revenge.

I don’t believe any rational people want to see these kids suffer, Iraqi and Syrian governments should be deprograming these children instead of depriving them of much needed psychological rehabilitation and education, they will need jobs when they reach adulthood, neighboring countries where many Isis Islamist radicals came from should be helping Iraq and Syria with the thousands of orphans their coward citizens left behind, many were killed but many cowards fled.

Original isis members came from outside Syria, the others which are the majority were either forcfully joined with extreme prices if rejected such as execution or cutting off the foot and arm, women sold and children sent to recruitment, if you accept you get everything you want, there was no government hence at that time the actual government were killing those same people, or most of them joined because they were hungry and wanted food which isis had and promised to give in return to join them, now for sins and mistakes.... I don't know wouldn't you kill and do the same just so your kids eat and not starve to death? I would it is a very sad thing that happened there specifically in Raqqa people had no choice and the choice was the worst choice they could make in their life that branded the entire family for the rest of life, it is very easy to control and gain the trust of desperate and starving people
I am not protecting anyone but the situation is not as easy as it seems, it is not a fix this and fix that... It is more of a they did it for thier family and kids but they murdered other family and kids after they were done their family and kids were either killed imprisoned or casted out, but if they never did what they did... The children born from rape of their Yazidi mothers are in such a heartbreaking situation.These children need to fostered overseas away from such a cruel environment.They are innocents,but obviously have no stable future in Iraq.Obviously funding is needed to assist such a program.If the mothers want to return to their families,at least they will know their children are been cared for.
About 4 min into it is a 6 yo little boy who is extremely wise...he balances and controls his words and thoughts well beyond his years. And you get a glimpse at his determination. I wish I had his and his Mother’s name and address so I could send him school supplies. God bless all these children and one day free them from this oppression.

Such horrible things can happen to this children, living a very hard life fighting for survival everyday. Some are "recruited" by ISIS and brainwashed them to hate and kill others, fully destroying their innocence.

I thought it was because America invaded and obliterated the place for imaginary WMD...lraq used to be quite a nice place once. I watched another doc and literally isis was killing children that refused to fight for them, they literally chopped a child’s arm and leg off and used him to show what would happen if they didn’t pledge allegiance. No child is born to kill

Looking at the life of these children I do not know what to say, it’s sad beyond imagination, all I can say is that children are gift of God, they are different creatures and humanity have failed the children across the world and that’s why we see so many problems in society…..
