I've always wanted a stool for my workshop. And after buying a cast iron tractor seat on Craigslist i decided to make one. I built the base the same way i made my shop tool stands, by welding a car rim to a 4" steel pipe. Then i just bolted that to spring steel base of the tractor seat.
