      Well it isnt a hard read. Mckeehan would call here a lot with TT-JJ and sometimes QQ and KK. AA is a ship 100% esp.after he acts like he has a decison with the stare. Daniel can just call this pre no reason to 4bet. Not a great read because its never a blufc

      AK is the most overvalued hand of all time. Good fold but not even close to a great fold. AL is only a coin flip against 22. 22 actually has more equity against AA than AK does. Someone folded 22 in this hand.

    • @swalker9482
      @swalker9482 4 года назад +9

      @@seaeff6428 I agree. They snap ak like it's aces or kk. I will play ak suited more aggressive but ak off is hardly ever in good shape deep stacked. Just way too many bodies, stacks, modern strategy and luck for some of the OGs to make it back to the final tables. Daniel getting this close back in 2015 was great to see though.
      I think if they went with a separate 25-50k buy in tournament you would get bigger names to advance further to the final table.
      But the whole allure of WSOP is that anyone, literally anyone who can fork the 10k, can go through the gauntlet and make it to the very end.

    was this part of the short stretch of hands where he folded a monster to Mckeehen only to face the same situation like a hand or two later when mckeehen picks up Kings? I remember watching this and I was like "wow what a fold" and then was like "wow WTF" cause how are you gonna give a guy credit for a big pocket pair immediately after folding in the same scenario involving the same guy. Folding to KIngs/aces correctly once is hard... doing it twice to the same guy in a row is... impossible.

    He is getting almost 2-1 odds to his call if we put Mckeehen QQ AK+ he is got about 40% of acuary against his range. Well I'd just say that Mckeehen prints money shoving QQ and AK here, cause Negreanu is an ABC player. If he just 4-bets value hands then you get rekt when someone is willing to put 45bb in a AK suited or QQ, and sometimes Mckeehen should flat Aces so he can stack QQ aswell and let AK catch a K or let daniel bluff. I dont see 4-bet/fold that standard here but whatever I see that fold as a standard for nitty guys and hard for people that play to win.

    Daniel has definitely folded better hands. this one didn't even make it to the flop, his options were short anyway. It's all gambling to call the all-in when you technically have nothing

    If Daniel really was that good, he would have folded AK preflop.

    Hellmuth's fold with a flush was more impressive

    Not even close to the best fold ever. C’mon A preflop jam w offsuit AK. That’s not a tough decision. If Mckeon has 22 hes a dog. Easy fold.

    I don't think that was the greatest fold ever. Daniel's thought process after the dude ships all in very late into a tournament:
    He wouldnt do it with air or a marginal hand. He either has AA KK or QQ or maybe at the very worst AK.
    To all of the above the best situation he is in is a coin flip against QQ.
    And against the other 2 he is dominated.
    Easy fold for a pro like Daniel. I perhaps may have called that but would've likely found the fold too.

      I wouldn't say easy fold. But I do agree, the worst hand he put him on is AK. But that's Daniel, a lot of other pros would've probably snap called
