I used your advice to modify the chords you gave for Leaving on a Jet Plane, and I'm very happy with the results. I'm using G-C-D-D7 instead of C-F-G-G7. So I'm now in key og G?? Whatever, it works nicely for me. Thanks.
Great info! I do have a question though- if my husband is playing a song in the key of G on his mandolin, and I play learned that song in the key of C- does one of us need to transpose to match the others key, or can I use a capo to change my key to match, so we can play together?
Hi Wanda Yes one of you will need to transpose to the other person's key. You can do that with a capo however going from G to C would mean putting the capo on the 5th fret on the mandolin (off the top of my head). Probably best to transpose for that large a difference.
Really love how you present these! I am SO NEW AT THIS! Feel like you are here with me!
I'm so glad!
I enjoyed. Thanks! I love my D'Addario ukulele capo.
Thanks Rich - I really like the look of your capo. I'm going to get one of those too
Thanks, especially for the chart
You're welcome Lucy !

Looks like Lucy had the same idea in her comment - she transposed Leaving on a Jet Plane to the key of G.
