Hi. I am new to the uke. Played classic guitar as a teenager. Now 65, and a member of the secretive "covid ukers". Loving every minute! Am a yoga teacher and this fits right in. Zen. Anyway, is it just me , but I find the D chord testing? The shift from Em. Can I barre and not play the 4th string, which is what I sometimes do? It is the ring finger that gives me fits. So enjoy your tutorials. Thanks.
Hey Timothy - welcome aboard! Absolutely - I think quite a few people do that. Are you having trouble fitting all of your fingers inside the one fret? If so turn your wrist up to the left more - that may help - ie rotate your hand so that your pinky finger is closer to the headstock rather than the the body of the instrument. This will allow your fingers to get in a straight line vertically rather than wanting to take up more room horizontally. Kelly
Another great job. Yes, thanks for transposing 😎 Looking forward to the video on that. I actually successfully played this on the baritone yesterday (where the chords are easier to begin with). Now with this, I’ll try it on other size. Thanks
@@fourstringstrummer Key of G? I think. Maybe? I am new to this, and have no real music background that would qualify me to ID the key :-) Chords used for baritone were G Em D C G My story is that I tried learning guitar when I was a teenager, and that was a complete failure. Tried again starting last year as a covid hobby. I still try, but find the guitar difficult. Then in December I tried ukulele. So many great videos from folks like you. I've found the uke is a joy every day. So thanks again.
@@lturner744 yep that's the key of G. One way to tell the key most times is by the first and/or last chord you play in the song. The uke really is a great instrument to keep people playing. Have Fun!
Hi Wanda - I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I don't have a pdf available BUT if you google Take Me Home Country Roads chords and lyrics you will find the chords etc that I use on tabs.ultimate-guitar.com. You can use that to play along with the video. Thanks! Kelly
Great advice. Many thanks
I all way enjoy your lessons thanks for posting .Grant uk

Thanks Lucy! Did you play it in G on the baritone? That's the way I originally leaned it on the guitar Waaaaaay back when the song was new!
