Just got home from work and saw this...can't watch it now, but will as soon as I can! If not for the song, then at least to find out if that's wine in a can!! LOL Welcome back!
I absolutely LOVE ukulele wine time, you're amazing Catherine! I don't drink so I sing instead 'Ukulele Tea time' 😂 I just want to give some feedback, the videos you made a few years seemed easier to follow. I lose you when you talk technical. Please keep posting videos, your a great teacher! Much love, Georgina xox
Hi Georgina! First of all, thank you so much! Second - me neither actually! I no longer drink wine - I had a minor vocal surgery recently, and I basically haven't had any alcohol since February. I am considering changing the name.... it's a tricky problem though!! I told my Patreon community about Ukulele Tea Time and they loved it! Has a nice ring to it, and I love tea. So who knows what the future will hold? 😊 Thanks for your feedback - please tell me more! Which part/topic felt too technical for you? I'd love to know - and it's great to hear about this, very helpful. Thanks for being here!
Thank you very much for explaining so lovely, happily and slowly enough (for me. ;)) to at least play along some parts 🌷☀️ I am quite new to the ukulele, but I can play the chords well and fast enough. But I am desperate in some parts of the song. I thought, well I am a beginner, so I would be happy to use the 4 downstrums. But, when you start with your strumming pattern, I always lose counting... I can count to 4, and yes, that seems to match. If you like, when you make another video (and I hope you do 😊🍀) maybe you can add the counting in the corner or above the chords? For me, as a beginner that would nice. All the best to you and best wishes from Germany 🇩🇪😊 Edit: ohh I just saw you have a lot of wonderful videos! I will check them all :) Maybe I just need to be more patient to learn and improve 😅
Hi there! Yes, starting with the simple 4 downstrokes is a great place to start. You MUST build a solid foundation of rhythm and learning how to count before trying more complex strumming patterns, or you'll continue to get lost! I have a whole strumming series you might like to check out - I'll post the link here. I always show the counting first in my videos - before adding lyrics - it's so important to feel the rhythm. 😊 Sounds like you are on a great track! Keep going! 🎵
Bb is a tricky one! Try using more of the side of your first finger to "mash down" the strings on the 1st fret. And you could try landing your middle finger first, then middle, then 1st finger. It will totally come with practice! You can also try out the Tap Method: ruclips.net/video/nSk0OoBzVSg/видео.html

🎵😊 thank you!
Is it just me or is Bb a really hard chord to play? Maybe my fingers are too short 😂. Any hints or hacks for Bb? Or will it come with practice?
