You are so right! Play the song a few times, then put it away till tomorrow and play again. This repetition improves daily and before long you succeed. Thank you, Stephanie!
Stephanie this is one of the best tutorials I've seen for the ukulele. Great progression and the playback segments makes it really easy to review the right sections. Thanks so much!
I sure would love to have more tutorials on some of the classic country songs and ballads out there like this... There's a ton of ukulele tutorials for just about every other genre, but there doesn't seem to be very many for the pure country style and folk songs out there. We need you to make that happen!! Come on Stephanie!
Oh, wow, thank you so much!!! I just found that the original is way too high for me and so I am so grateful to have found you. Thank you so much. Sending love and gratitude from Germany.
Im impressed bcs i love it and it was easy i learnd lots of songs but this is the most great of them all. i love all the song she made to let me learn.....
B Flat much easier if you just lay your Pointer Finger across the whole of the first FRET, if you don't believe me then try it, you'll be AMAZED!!!😮😯😲Great Lesson, Hot for Teacher.😊😋🤗
MERCI infiniment pour cette extraordinaire lecon tres Bien et PARFAITEMENT explique Avec vous nous avons eu un enorme plaisir ma petite.fille et moi (grand.pere) 😘
Thank you so much for this lovely tutorial. The bridge with the B flat chord is still a challenge but I just found you and this half bar chord, so I will just need a bit of patience. Best wishes from Frid in Germany
Thanks for the tutorial. Your version isn’t oversimplified (like “only four chords”) or too different from John Denver (like the Japanese anime version). I like that.
I'm gonna make this the first song I'll practice!! Haven't tried playing the ukulele though. My bf bought me one and it hasn't arrived yet 😂 I'm excited!!
Thanks for the tutorial, a nice easy pace that I could keep up with, I was doing ok until we got to the Bflat. Ugh.. sigh.. I'll have to skip that note 🤣
Thanks Stephanie I’ll give that a try and keep practicing. BTW the lyrics are “Miners Lady “ not “Modest Lady” 🥰 I love your tutorials, keep em coming!
Hi thankyou for your tutorials!! My first song with you was “ you are my sunshine’ took a day to master it! Can I ask about transition from Am Chord to G chord, coz i see it is slightly different from other fingering taught, it doesn’t really matter which fingers to use right?
Hi there, yes, any fingering is okay for those chords. Sometimes it depends on the context, what will make the smoothest transition. Some people feel more comfortable doing different fingerings, and that is okay too.

Great tutorial! Love your mantra at the end: "stay mindful, stay useful and stay out of trouble." 👏👏😁
You are so right! Play the song a few times, then put it away till tomorrow and play again. This repetition improves daily and before long you succeed. Thank you, Stephanie!
Fabulous thank you so much Been struggling with this one ❤
Thank you so much for your huge work for us! With help of you I have almost learned how to
play this song :)
Stephanie this is one of the best tutorials I've seen for the ukulele. Great progression and the playback segments makes it really easy to review the right sections. Thanks so much!
Thank you for the comment! I'm glad it helped!

I love that idea. I've been meaning to learn some more classic country tunes. Most of them become pretty easy after some practice.
@@StephanieDouglassMusicI could play the song John Denver's country road to my playing alongside his original recording

Easy and fun. Thank you.
Nicely done, Stephanie!
Thank you for watching!
Show Stephanie 👏👏👍👍
Thank you so much 😭❤️
Cool! Hello Ms. Stephanie! I’m also playing yukelele for Gospel songs..you play so professionally! I hope I will be a good player someday too! 👏👏
🌹 thank you for the tutorial.
Awesome
Amazing my queen, thanks a lot ❤
U r brilliant
Thanks, I love this song. I actually play in on several wind instruments. Maybe I'll try to play along with my guitar later tonight.
Thank you ❤️👍
Thank you 😍
love it🥰
As usual very good....I am playing on the Baritone as usual using the same chords but changing finger positions
VERY VERY NICE
Thank you for this video, you really did a nice job 👍🏻
This was the first song I learnt on my new ukelele, and it was easy because you were so clear about all the aspects of it. Hoping to see more songs
Thanks❤
Love this song! I can play this guitar too! Excellent you show the chords off
Thanks for the tutorial. Your version isn’t oversimplified (like “only four chords”) or too different from John Denver (like the Japanese anime version). I like that.
Thank you! I try to keep my versions as true to the originals as I can, or be upfront if I made changes (like the key in this video).
I'm gonna make this the first song I'll practice!! Haven't tried playing the ukulele though. My bf bought me one and it hasn't arrived yet 😂 I'm excited!!
Same here haha
I played along, but with a baritone ukulele. Great tutorial as always.
Thanks! You know I actually have a baritone uke version of this tutorial. It's in the original key, too.
@@StephanieDouglassMusic If I have nit seen it I will certainly go watch it.
Can you make a tutorial for I've got peace like a river ..
ILoVE it💕
Soooo coool!!!!!
Thank you so muchh
Who else thinks this girl has the most beautiful voice?
❤️❤️❤️❤️very good❤️❤️❤️❤️
Merci beaucoup pour votre vidéo c'est trop jolie.
Hi Stephanie.
Do you have a tutorial like this for Over the Rainbow? Or Aloha Oe?
How do I play for the song Lay down beside me by Don Williams?
Cool
太棒了,谢谢
Great job, Stephanie. You were a bit fast for me!
So great one
Of my favorite. I’m
German but you speeking so fast for me 😢
Thanks for the tutorial, a nice easy pace that I could keep up with, I was doing ok until we got to the Bflat. Ugh.. sigh..
I'll have to skip that note 🤣
It is good to learn the Bflat but a G chord is serviceable there to at least let you play the song until you can practice the Bflat more
Love it! I sing this with you in my streams! 💙🎶🎨

Is there another note I can use to replace b flat? Due to a wrist injury I just cannot get that b flat.
Maybe try F? See how that feels. Another alternative, you can use all 4 fingers, pinky on the G string.
Thanks Stephanie I’ll give that a try and keep practicing. BTW the lyrics are “Miners Lady “ not “Modest Lady” 🥰 I love your tutorials, keep em coming!
@@StephanieDouglassMusic please disregard that FYI. I miss read the lyrics. How embarrassing 🙈
I really enjoy your lessons. I will be purchasing my first ukulele and looking at a Córdoba . Do you have any suggestions. My budget is 250 to 300.
Are you using metal strings ?
Awesome cover and tutorial
Thank you! I play an Enya EUT-MAD tenor uke. I use a low G.
❤️🙏🏻
Is that a tenor ukulele.
Hi thankyou for your tutorials!! My first song with you was “ you are my sunshine’ took a day to master it! Can I ask about transition from Am Chord to G chord, coz i see it is slightly different from other fingering taught, it doesn’t really matter which fingers to use right?

❤
Woot!
If you could only record that outside with the mountain back drop. 👍
Her: If you have been playing for a little while this should be easier
Me: Well im in luck I've been playing a whole 2 days
That is excellent!!!
Same 😂😂😂😂😂
I have been playing for a whole year and a half XD
Me playing 3 years me professional already but not on internet bcs i dont whant to lett them know i play guitar:)
