Hey pal, greetings from Bavaria/Germany. I´ve been in that 82k+ crowd back in 2013 - amazing wouldn´t be the right word........I truly don´t have an appropriate word for this experience.......... Floor, the singer, has a classical trained voice and also worked as a vocal coach years ago. Nightwish is just finishing their current world tour - with Floor pregnant with her 2nd child (her husband is the drummer of the band Sabaton). I´d recommend the song "The greatest show on earth (Live at Tampere)" - also a masterpiece of Nightwish and its composer Tuomas Holopainen (the keyboarder). It´s a song about the creation of the earth, life and civilization (and its failures...."Giant mushroom-clouds......" means atom bombs.....). Also Floor´s singing together with Marco Hietala (the bassist) - which is perfect harmony, in my opinion.

The drummer Jukka pronounced Yukka suffered from insomnia and massive migrains for years and left drumming shortly after this 2013 concert he still works behind the scenes for Nightwish as they are like family to each other. Jukka is replaced by ex Wintersun drummer Kai who is best friend of Jukka.
The crowd size at this show was 82,000. Ghost Love Score was the 13th song of a 15 song set. I’m a very very old Metal rock head and a fan of Nightwish for over 20 plus years. Nightwish has no bad songs in my humble opinion. Let the Nightwish army guide you into their incredibly deep catalogue. Their albums are masterpieces but as you see they shine live! At this concert Floor was just a "Hired Gun" brought on to finish the "Imaginerum" tour when they fired Anette Olzon, 48 hours before an appearance in Salt Lake City. In view of her vocal skills and command of the huge crowd at this festival, the band members made her a permanent member. All the songs performed at Wacken were written with the range and vocal skills of the previous two lead singers for the band, Floor handled all of them without compromises.

The stage design of Nightwish is shaped here and on their headliner tours by its four screens, through the elaborate animations. There will be nothing with the live, there will be no tour for the next album. Maybe Floor will pass her solo program in the USA.
While it is possible to react only to Nightwish straight the whole day 😂 Floor did some solo projects (my favorite is Oblivion by M83) an some co-works, e.g. with Tobias Sammet.
If you want to see some interaction between the band and crowd, check out I Want My Tears Back from their Buenos Aires concert. Awesome. And the Celtic flavor of the music. It’s been said; they threw a concert and a soccer crowd shows up.
Unfortunately, while you will more than likely be able to take in a concert, with two members already departed from that 2013 line up, I suspect you'll never capture that lightning in a bottle this performance was. Thank God for this recording, one of the most impressive performances captured on video I've ever seen.

This Wacken 2013 concert was lightning in a bottle for the band...a masterpiece of live recording and performance! You will see several songs from this show (hopefully, you'll see the entire 15 song set...this song was 13/15) bc Floor, in all her vocal glory, was still new to the band at this time, and she sang many songs that would never be performed live again...and she made them her own. The main songwriter and composer is keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen (pron: TOO-oh-Moss). The stage piece w the pipes...is a custom wine rack fashioned after The Sebilius Monument in Helsinki, and was turned into a keyboard stand. There are many amazing bands that we will suggest to you along with Nightwish....you cannot go wrong with those...trust us...we've been at this for years! Just wait for the feeling you get when you play Nightwish for a friend for the 1st time...that's why we do what we do! Love your outtro...bc you didn't even know that there is a Nightwish philosophy, a way of life... encompassing empathy, humanity and kindness!

Nice reaction and you're right Floor was killing it on this 13th song of the setlist. Wacken open Air concert 2013 is pure gold. It's one of the best concerts that has ever been recorded. The only thing that makes this better is not the flames, but actually being there yourself. Which is what I am going to do tomorrow night in Gelsenkirchen. I have seen them live before and it's always an experience leaving me wired for days.🤘🏼🖤
