  • What is it like to run to the top of a 14,000-foot mountain? Come with me as I pack for the Pikes Peak Ascent, run it, and show you around the top of Pikes Peak (including the new visitor center)!
    The Pikes Peak Ascent is a grueling 13.3-mile race from Manitou Springs, Colorado, to the 14,115-foot summit of Pikes Peak. With a vertical climb of 7,800 feet up the historic Barr Trail and an average grade of 11%, it's no easy race. This was my third time running it but the last time I ran it was in 2018 when they stopped the race at the halfway point because of predicted severe weather at the top of the mountain.

    You’re such an amazing inspiration! I used to run before I was diagnosed in 2018, and have had it come back 6 times in various places since then. I get so down sometimes because of the damage all the accumulation of chemo has done to me. Some days I barely have the energy to get out of bed yet alone train again! You give me hope though. Tysm for sharing your story and giving me hope! Bless you sweetheart! 🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻

      Everyone’s mountain to climb looks a little different. 6 recurrences is rough physically, but also mentally. Start small and just focus on taking advantage of the good days. It feels like you’re starting with zero fitness, but hang in there 💪🏼💙

    I've been diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer back in march and been on chemo since June. Only 2 more treatments to go then 5 weeks of radiation. You are my inspiration and cant wait to be rid of this cancer and hopefully get reversed!!

    Congratulations! 🎉 This is so amazing to hear! I’m three weeks out from my reversal and have been getting anxious about getting back to running…and life in general. So great to see a fellow survivor being active and having the ability to crush an amazing run! Thank you for sharing your experiences!

      Have your CEA levels ever fluctuated or risen since you have had your reversal?

      @SurvivorJelena  Год назад

      They fluctuated a little bit, but always within the normal range.
