@@TmasterinoYT But hey, on the second watch, when it's not so much about the twists and drama, you can appreciate what really counts: the pun game and background gags.
When I first started this show way back I thought I'd dislike Mr Peanutbutter, until eventually his peanutbetteryness warmed up to me. Then I started seeing that Mr Peanutbutter had more layers to him and everything wasn't as perfect to him as it comes off. While I wish he had a more satisfying role in part 2, I was absolutely moved when he finally got his crossover episode in part 1
Adrian Naranjo I pretty much hated him like how Bojack hates him. Always so annoying and oblivious to the reality of it all like when he expected to win that governor thing at literally the last minute. But I did warm up to him when he defended Bojack from that idiot pig reporter.
i watched a lot of video essays on this show before i ever actually watched it. i thought i'd hate mr pb. thought i'd like diane more & princess carolyn less. i miss em all tho :(
Same. I thought he was really obnoxious and trying to rub on Bojack. But as i continued watching the show i started to love him. Mr.PB is a good example for how some people are more than what they show outside.
I think most of us honestly thought he would be the worst character in the beginning but you learn that he’s not playing a role. He’s actually the realest character
They didn't even show the conversation he had with Diane on Telephone at Elefante, the divorce scene, The Halloween party and the last conversation he had with Diane. I love this show and this character, but Netflix isn't doing it justice with these half-assed videos
i mean they also didn't show the halloween flashback scenes with all of his ex wives so eh. but yeah they really jumped to "oh yeah they divorced at some point- now here's pickles!"
I think it might not be the point - showing everything major, but reminding some noticeable elements of their story, even though not always the most structuring. Obviously eveyone recall the major elements of the characters story, but I see these videos as a good way of remembering their evolution, while letting aside some major occurences that we can auto-complete. It is also focused on some funny parts, which is an obvious priority of the editing. But I understand that for a video name "full story of..." that can lead to disappointment. Guess we'll have to rewatch the show one more time for accuracy purpose...
Yeah these are just for easy views. I remember they did the one titled “how useful is Judah” and they just has random scenes with a bar of “usefulness” going up and down but in all the clips he was being helpful.
Maybe they're trying to not spoil the scenes? Maybe. But yeah. This is one of the most well recieved cartoon from Netflix yet they do not care for it. What a shame it had to end so abruptly to the point that the final episodes felt somewhat rushed. I'm confident BJ would've continued way longer than it did.
I feel like they left out some pretty crucial parts...mr. peanutbutter completely ignoring diane lying to him for 6 months about where she was and just asking her to come home, him asking bojack why he doesnt like him and admitting hes been craving his approval and friendship for years, the scene where diane officially breaks things off with mr. Peanutbutter.
It's disgusting how Netflix keeps milking revenue from the episodes they have, after cancelling the show entirely *_because of the animators unionizing._* They cancelled everything by that animation house, not just Bojack.
For Fucks sake. It has been confirmed multiple times that Netflix didn't cancel the show because of the unionization. Infact, Netflix told the creators at the end of season 5 that season 6 would be the last season. Netflix has stated multiple times that they actually love the show, so they most likely decided to end it because they wanted it to end on a high note. The show's creators had plans for many more seasons, but if they did that the show could run the risk of falling apart and dropping in quality. Because of this, Netflix ended it since they wanted it to end on a high note. Videos like this are simply Netflix looking back at the awesome show they are proud of. Just accept that all good things should come to an end and that the show ending now is better than it being dragged out until it's shit.
Mr. Peanutbutter's phrases and the writers' capability of keeping that gag running as long as they did and the fact that we still werent tired of it in the end is nothing short of legendary
Only mistake Mr. Peantbutter made at the end (other than cheating and covering it up with other acts like proposing and using Bojack's rehab as an excuse) was trying to be "even". There is no such thing as "being even" in a relationship. All he needed to do was apologize and work on chmaging and if Pickles couldn't get past what he did on an emotional and mental level, then they should have just agreed to break up right then and there, instead of leaving each other on a half baked sweet lie.
When mr. Peanut butter lowers his voice when he realizes that he needs to be supportive and understanding it shows that he really can be serious when he needs to be it's just sometimes he doesn't know when it's best to be serious and that's why he's my favorite character
It's not that she got bored of him, he was about to tie down someone much younger than him, at a stage in her life where she’d otherwise be chasing opportunities and growing as a person. It’s a mistake he kept on making in all his relationships. He marries people who aren't ready to commit yet. Pickles wasn't bored of him, he just had a moment of clarity and realized that they were at different stages in life, which was something she didn't yet understand herself due to lack of maturity/age.
So is PB lowkey depressed but is actually "faking it till you make it"? To hinder his emotions sorta like that one friend who is always happy and you wonder why, why are they always so happy despite the obvious stress, anxiety and bs the worlds throws at them how do they keep such a happy go lucky personality not a care in a world. It makes you want a friend like that always optimistic but it also makes you want to ask are they truly happy? Sn: I notice PB dates younger women than him who are obviously not committed or compatible with him which suggests hes codependent in his relationships he wants somone young and fun to admire and be with not somone old, spiteful and boring which imply hes a manchild or kid at heart despite his older age hes still young he wants to married but doesnt want to do the tasks in a marriage like most 20s or 30s year olds. Despite it all I like Mr PB sure hes flaw and codependent but the fact that hes always so happy always moving forward in life not caring what others think makes him very relatable on a personal level and I hope he gets things figured out both love wise and life wise.
He's obviously not depressed. There's a whole episode that makes fun of the fact that people think PB is depressed. I mean he has other issues with himself but he's not depressed. Depression is an illness, not a personality trait.
@@KiddaTheKiller actually it can be a personality trait. It's called Personality Depression. When someone doesn't have the chemical imbalance in their brain which causes depression. My ex and I remind me a lot of Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane. I relate a lot to Diane. Luckily we never got married, but we were together for 3 & 1/2 years. It’s so hard to be with someone who is so nice and so kind, but you feel suffocated being with. Watching this video makes me remember all of the frustrating fights we would have because we were so different. It makes me remember all of the reasons I’m glad we’re no longer together. For everyone hesitant about ending a relationship because the other person is a good person, you have to do what’s best for you. In the long run you’ll become more bitter and frustrated. Just because the other person is kind, does not mean you are right for one another.
Mr. Peanutbutter problem it's that he never was able to face his relationships problems. Being nice and kind all the time sometimes it's a problem to us too. Its hard explain if you don't feel like being this, but that's why I'm empathic and try to see everyone's side. We humans are more complex then we thinkg, we have a lot of layers, outside and inside of us
You need to be able to feel bad in order to tacke issues that are serious. Mr.Peanutbutter could never make a deep relationship because caring about someone also means having the ability to be hurt. In a sense toxic positivity is a shield and by not allowing the consequences of vulnerability to affect him, he also blocks out a serious connection. He isnt mature and is afraid to become it because before you can grow you need experience that isnt always nice
Why Diane and Mr PeanutButter’s marriage failed? Mr PeanutButter was oblivious to what Diane wants and never speaks her language, he always thought about what he wants instead of what Diane wants, she tried to tell Mr PeanutButter that she doesn’t like grand gestures and yet surprise her with grand gestures even though he was told multiple times that she doesn’t like grand gestures, so that’s why their marriage failed. {12:50}
Mr. PB knew Pickles was gonna cheat on him once she got on the plane with Joey. He knew but he still let her go. That was the beginning of his evolution.
Netflix is really trying to milk the finale of this show by making all these “through the seasons” type of video. They probably realized they shouldn’t have cancelled it...

idk, Bojack was great, but the arc of "friend wants to make you better! you get better. something happens. you start spiraling again. fuck fuck fuck it's worse than before" got kind of repetitive
Not going to lie...I kinda thought mr peanutbutter would commit suicide by the end of the series. He was always so happy, like he was hiding something, also his failing marriages, relationships. I thought it would have been a deep character design for him.
I had put my money on it too, that would have been shocking and turns things upside down for the other characters, but no one dies in the end and every main protagonist has its line in the last episode... Maybe it's better that way.
@@MediumsFeelingWell lol, i was referring to the video. I feel like they managed to resolve his arc pretty well. To me, the ending was good, and honestly, i don't have many bad things to say about the series, It's still one of my favourites
I love how Mr. Peanutbutter really is an earnest happy and optimistic person. But so many people who aren't as happy and optimistic as he is can't process that fact that someone really can be that happy and optimistic, so they try and create a defense around their own ego and state of less happiness by saying "Mr. Peanutbutter really isn't that happy, nobody can really be that happy. He's just pretending, he as sad and miserable as the rest of us." But the fact is, Mr. Peanutbutter _is_ that happy and there are real people like him. Some people have better lives so it's easer to be happy, other people have worse lives but are just more optimistic and can overcome sadness and hardship faster. Everyone feels sad at some point of course (PB feels sad too and you see in the show) but a lot of people really are earnestly happy. And I applaud those people, I think we should all try and find the optimism to enjoy life as Mr. PB does. And I think that's the really happy thing, there is nothing in your way to stop you from being happy. You are the master of your own universe and you can control how optimistic and happy you are with effort and intention. Even something like mental illnesses can be overcome with things like therapy and medication. There is a Mr. Peanutbutter in all of us and there will always be a way to unlock him, we just need to find the key.
no i think he’s aware that’s unhappy. i mean he literally tells diane “when does it ever matter what i want” he knows he’s putting people in front of him and it’s not healthy
I agree that there ARE people who have this inherent happiness to them, but HE is not one of them. People have no idea how much he has going on below the surface.
Off topic but I love Pickles. - Pickles is so cute - Her voice Fits her so MUCH. SO CUTE - She’s a Pug - And I’m so attached to her. Like, WHO WOULD CHEAT ON HER?! SO PRECIOUS
This is one of the main reasons I disliked Diane, she reminds me too much of myself AND SHE FRIGGIN INVITED MR PEANUT BUTTER INSIDE KNOWING HE WAS TAKEN, hearing Pickles cry was so heartbreaking for me
@@jliz6658 every time I call out Diane for something people always say “oh but Bojack did worse” it doesn’t mean that her things aren’t bad, like when she added into the script of Philbert Bojack’s experience with penny like wtf Diane?
@Serp Is going insane Mr Peanutbutter coulda said no. Not to say Diane fracking Mr Peanutbutter while he was in a relationship wasn't a source of annoyance for me too. They're both at fault.
Mr. Peanutbutter has always been one of my many favorite characters on this show, him an Diane made a cute couple, as well as him and Pickles, although i couldn't believe she left Mr. Peanutbuttter for that other guy, but maybe it was a good thing Mr. Peanutbutter and Pickles broke up, because you know, now that Mr. PB is single he has lots of time to focus on himself.
What if PB is the example of those people who’s like always happy and projecting optimism but go home alone and sad. The fact that the show didn’t show those sad scenes bc we can be ignorant toward those ppl?
And that when compare PB’s sadness to BJ it seems we’ll be sympathetic towards BJ more bc he had it “rough”. But we’re different and the definition of “rough” is miscellaneous.
yeah, i don’t remember what episode but it’s more obvious when he tells diane that all he does when he’s at home when she’s not there is sit on the couch
No, they only hit that season 6 version because they went through that toxic relationship. I think it would be nice for them to be friends, but if they tried something romantic it wouldn't work again, and their whole development would be broken. Glad to see that both MPR and Diane get to be more happy and accepting with themselves.
I love mr. peanutbutter but I feel like parts of the fifth season made him more cynical and passive aggressive than he originally was. Sure he's flawed and somewhat selfish, but he never came off to me as being mean on purpose. He also does put a lot of care into his relationships and pays attention to little details so idk why that season also made it seem like he had selective listening at times? I wish he would have gotten a better ending too :')

I believe Diane and bojack being romantically involved would have made things worse for thier own self growth, especially because of how similar their thinking was with regards to dealing with their problems. I'm glad they were never paired with each other. It gave hope for platonic relationships and emphasis on self development.

I know Erica was an ongoing gag.. but he truly was obsessed with her. He would literally stop doing whatever he was doing and go talk to her. It could be one of those situations where he is madly in love with her but she's not... And he's pretending to be her friend but can't hide the fact that he always has his eyes on her.
Heard that the show's supposed to be 8 seasons. Guess we would've explored more of Mr Peanutbutter in them and possibly find out about Erika. It's a Shame though. We even got to see Diane's Good Damage.
The Irony about stealing credit for stealing the D is that in the long run it hurt PB relationship with Daine. She made it clear she dosen't like big public grand gestures. So this just added to the list of times he didn't listen to her which would lead to their divorce. Even more ironic is if PB had let Bojack take credit for it it would've worked in PB favor. Bojack had just kissed her and they had a fight over the book. At this point Daine wasn't sure of her relationship with Bojack. So if Bojack had taken credit for the D she would've started to dislike him, become convinced that he was weird and got her to distance herself from him. Instead, although they never become a couple Diane dose end up getting a closer freindship with Bojack because she felt like he understood her better then PB who kept doingng these grand gestures she told him she dosen't like.
So basically he's a jerk and thinks he can solve people's problems and his own with "positive actions ans only positive ". But not actually listening to others problems and figuring out what is best for them He assumes he can fix everything with false positivity without analysing

Cid FoxJof Bivar well I wouldn’t say no one dies, you know, cause Sarah Lynn :(
yeah, i think that would have been a bit of a cheap shocker. very glad they didn't go down that route
They skipped a lot of character development
Unfortunately Netflix pulled the plug on the show so they had to wrap up everything pretty quick.
@@MediumsFeelingWell lol, i was referring to the video. I feel like they managed to resolve his arc pretty well. To me, the ending was good, and honestly, i don't have many bad things to say about the series, It's still one of my favourites
I feel like i found myself lol
-.-
I love how Mr. He's just pretending, he as sad and miserable as the rest of us."
But the fact is, Mr.
- Pickles is so cute
- Her voice Fits her so MUCH. SO CUTE
- She’s a Pug
- And I’m so attached to her. Like, WHO WOULD CHEAT ON HER?! SO PRECIOUS
This is one of the main reasons I disliked Diane, she reminds me too much of myself AND SHE FRIGGIN INVITED MR PEANUT BUTTER INSIDE KNOWING HE WAS TAKEN, hearing Pickles cry was so heartbreaking for me
@@serpisgoinginsane3609 this it pains me that ppl don’t bring up the fact that Diane did this
@@jliz6658 every time I call out Diane for something people always say “oh but Bojack did worse” it doesn’t mean that her things aren’t bad, like when she added into the script of Philbert Bojack’s experience with penny like wtf Diane?
@@jliz6658 Diane didn’t do this. He’s the one in the relationship lmao
@Serp Is going insane Mr Peanutbutter coulda said no. Not to say Diane fracking Mr Peanutbutter while he was in a relationship wasn't a source of annoyance for me too. They're both at fault.
See how this clip brings out the sadder parts of his life, but he still goes on being optimistic always!!
Guy is better than Mr PB
What if PB is the example of those people who’s like always happy and projecting optimism but go home alone and sad. The fact that the show didn’t show those sad scenes bc we can be ignorant toward those ppl?
And that when compare PB’s sadness to BJ it seems we’ll be sympathetic towards BJ more bc he had it “rough”. But we’re different and the definition of “rough” is miscellaneous.
agreed
Omg good observation
yeah, i don’t remember what episode but it’s more obvious when he tells diane that all he does when he’s at home when she’s not there is sit on the couch
Lmao, they kept the Hollywoo joke through the whole show.
I feel like Season 6 versions of MPB and Diane would have worked out. Talk about the right one at the wrong time
No, they only hit that season 6 version because they went through that toxic relationship. I think it would be nice for them to be friends, but if they tried something romantic it wouldn't work again, and their whole development would be broken. Glad to see that both MPR and Diane get to be more happy and accepting with themselves.
Where is the moment from Halloween episode, when Diane talks with Pb about Pickles? That was the important one
Diane always knew they were wrong for each other and she just agreed because she was scared
I love mr. peanutbutter but I feel like parts of the fifth season made him more cynical and passive aggressive than he originally was. Sure he's flawed and somewhat selfish, but he never came off to me as being mean on purpose. He also does put a lot of care into his relationships and pays attention to little details so idk why that season also made it seem like he had selective listening at times? I wish he would have gotten a better ending too :')
Best pair: Mr Penut Butter + EERICAA!
Love how Alison Brie literally goes “mwah” when doing the kissing sounds
My ex-girlfriend (good terms) used to do that too and i always thought it was the sweetest thing in the world
Bojack always loved Diane, just remembering the story of Mr. Peanutbutter we can clearly see it.
*MAYBE I WANT TO POOP IN A BUCKET*
Getting real sick of Netflix milking the fan base of the show that they themselves cancelled for damn RUclips views. It's insulting
Joe Kekker but we get to see them again 😅
Do you..... really think the show needed another season?
@@linnycrocus6023 Raph Waxburg literally said he wanted at least 2 more to get to the ending he wanted. He had to rush a bunch of story lines in order to finish
Right?
Truth homie!
This is edited like baby's first RUclips video
baby can do that I'm impressed
Please Mr. Peanutbutter was my father's name. AND IT'S MY NAME TOO. ~Mr. Peanutbutter
but who the hell is erica?
Ah, you know, the one with the right amount of ears and isn’t allowed near children? Who may or may not have only one leg and isn’t or wasn’t allowed to vote? You know, Erica
6 seasons wasn’t enough of this show
You imagine the voice actors doing the frack scenes, they had to have been laughing their asses off the entire time just trying to get through one line
How does one not cackle X)
I will forever love this show :,)
hi
@@london6229 after one year that's kinda sus😕
Holding to see Birthday Dad on Netflix soon.
It's makes sense that he's Canadian
My god, you're right.. I completely forgot about this association
I just realized Mr peanut butter never wore his wedding ring..
You do wonder how different the show would’ve been if Diane and Bojack got together instead but the show stops being about that quite early on. They change each other and lead them to being in a better place in the end
I believe Diane and bojack being romantically involved would have made things worse for thier own self growth, especially because of how similar their thinking was with regards to dealing with their problems. I'm glad they were never paired with each other. It gave hope for platonic relationships and emphasis on self development.
“Frack me mr peanut butter”😭😭😭
We never got to see Erica 😔😟
With what Mr. Peanutbutter has said I don't know if I would want to
Really grew to love Mr. PB
3:20 I think that's the first time I've ever noticed him swear
Nobody's gonna talk about how great Paul F Tompkins is?
"Son of a bitch... That LITERAL son of a bitch!"
Man I loved how season 1 had its moments
*Frack me Mr. Peanutbuter! Frack me!* doggy doggy what now?
Well Glad Mr. Peanutbutter is taking a break from romance
Why are they milking so much BoJack content but yet cancelled the show giving it one last season.
Mr peanut butter is one of my favorite characters.
We need a new sequel with just mr peanutbutter as a starr
This guy seems like a real bro
“That literal son of a bitch!” Bojack on Mr. Peanutbutter
They sort of just swept him away in season 6. The show ended really well but it could have used one more season. There was a lot of tell not show to make up for time that the writers didn't have w
How did they sweep him away? I thought his story was resolved quite nicely along with everyone elses
So...who is Erica? Let’s find out!!
By the way, Mr Peanutbutter is my favorite character in the show. He’s so cute and adorable 😊
He's an immature irresponsable jerk, but sure
Big baby bitch but sure
@@strangerdragos9511 that’s literally Bojack, not Mr P
@@adamgriffith-smith9106 You probably should try to learn more about the character of Peanut Butter, who always marries young women who grow up but he doesn't, thus creating a difference between him and his wives... Also he acts like an a**hole several times in the show...
@@strangerdragos9511 I know that, but the words you used to describe him more fit to describe Bojack
Jesus. I thought my headphones didn't work for a second and Mr. Peanut butter just yelled "I WILL NOT HAVE SEX WITH YOU!" In the middle of my school library.
*FRACK ME MR. PEANUTBUTTER!!!*
Yes this is the best animated serie in the world.
What about Duckman, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Batman TAS, Cowboy Bebop, Futurama, classic Simpsons etc.?
Pretty weird how no one ever really called out Mr. Peanutbutter despite him being even more selfish and ditzy than Season 1 Bojack
What about his fights with Diane during the election and when his house got destroyed?
Am I nicki Minaj recording anaconda in 2014 because OH MY GOSH
Okay I’ll admit he did worm his way into my heart by the end of the series
But only by a little bit
the thing is now I look back MPB have a lot red flags (selfishness like BoJack) but his optimism attitude affect the way of how I think of him.... personal opinion don’t attack me thanks
That scene of diana and mr peanut butter fricking confused me in ways I feel aren't normal! 😱
How do you feel about the making out scene in the anime fantasy movie Wolf Children between the title kids's parents being a wolfman and a human woman?
Confused you? aren't anthros, extraterrestrials, cyborgs/androids, mutants and magical creature folk people who are different?
@@Johnlindsey289 oh dont remind me of that, that made me cry so hard, that movie! And it barely showed anything, so I didnt mind.
@@JacobDreemurr
But what makes Hana and the Wolfman in Wolf Children no different than Mr Peanutbutter and Diane? especially when Hana was boned by the wolfman? or Shape of water?
Mr peanutbutter is my favorite character, he is so kind and loyal to BoJack horseman and he’s kind of mean to him.
If it isn't the "Most Replayed" feature making me lose faith in humanity again
so Marley & Me exists in the bojack horseman universe and the labrador retriever in it still gets euthanised at the end?
He should of married Erica.
8:36 12th Doctor: "Stop that. Stop doing that! The thing, with your eyes. How do you even do that with your eyes?? It's like they inflate."
Heard that the show's supposed to be 8 seasons. Guess we would've explored more of Mr Peanutbutter in them and possibly find out about Erika. It's a Shame though. We even got to see Diane's Good Damage.
That’s right Diane, Jamaican bob-sleders.
Mr Peanutbutter is someone we all love but don't want to be
Mister Peanut Butter isn't the worst guy out there but he is horrific about not listening.
1:33 appears erica is the yellow girl, haha salu2
He runs past her, though.
So basically he's a jerk and thinks he can solve people's problems and his own with "positive actions ans only positive ". But not actually listening to others problems and figuring out what is best for them
He assumes he can fix everything with false positivity without analysing
I wouldn't say jerk. I think Mr
PEANUTBUTTER is one of those guys who drank the denial kool-aid.
6:57 and she wandered why she got pregnant 😂
Ironically she got pregnant before that
Frack Me Mr. Peanutbutter

I'LL BE THE ROUNDABOUT!!!
Is anybody else a total Bojack but still hopes there are actually Mr Peanutbutter’s in the world!
He reminds me of Hunter from Road Rovers, who remembers that show?
I didn't realize Pickles was 27 years old until I looked at Bojack Horseman wiki fandom. Plus Pickles is from California LA. No wonder I thought she was a teenager, she just had a California accent.
