Jeff Calander To make it harder... Here are my comments. The Milwaukee is built better and slightly deeper, but smaller. The Husky is larger, hold more tools and has a better system for the power strip up top. Good luck.
Just picked mine up today for $770 out of the door Home Depot had it for $798 and I had a 10%coupon I bought on ebay I had the old one and I really like the 2 tops drawers on the bottom cabinet it's awesome.
WorkshopAddict yes this was after calling Home Depot a few days ago and they said they had 1 but when I showed up no one knew where it was at and they insisted it was the old model their computer was identifying as being in stock, they even tried ordering it in their system to get delivered to the store and it was completely out of stock and they couldn't order it, yesterday on my way to Harbor freight to buy a toolbox there I decide to give home depot one last try and their was a worker in hardware and he looked it up on his handheld device and said "there's one" and showed me it was up in the racks most exciting feeling ever😀
Wish they would have went at least 22 if not 24in for drawer depth. Makes a huge difference in the end specially if your close to filling the box day you bring it home. Other than that looks really nice
WorkshopAddict I agree. So much I'd buy one lol. I thought I seen on the reveal of box that they did say 24in deep drawers, wonder if something changed or my memory is just off. Get em to make the big boy 56 and send to my place ill try it out. Have a great day brother
Both boxes are the best in this price category I think. I actually found the lower cost model for $498 on sale at Home Depotwhich is $300 less than the premium one and couldn’t justify the difference, however if you can’t the $100 difference is a no brainer!
Still wish I could find the 30” Milwaukee tool chest. Been looking for it for 5 months now. Not a single Home Depot seems to carry it anymore. Hoping they make a new one. I’ll buy it day one.

WorkshopAddict yeah, that’s a ton of extra money. I looked into that too. The craftsman tool chest combo that I have right now is actually fine, but the Milwaukee tool chest is just perfect. It’s not 900.00 perfect though. Lol once again though, thank you for trying.
I had the older version work as a tech I used this box everyday. Never had a problem with any of the drawer yet. Worth every penny. P.s I fell terriable for those guys that pay 8k for a snap on box. Rumor has it till today they still making payments

I like the look of the OG 46" but I really like the storage of the new one. not sold on the silver but I love the size. Once this is in Canada odds are i'm getting it.
These are no longer available and no word really on when they will return. I did however see on one of the tool channels a premium version of this that was possibly 52” or 56” wide. Do you guys know anything about this? Would love to know about to be upgrading soon and Milwaukee has a bunch of features that I’m really interested in
You mentioned this one has good build quality and the 56 is just sheet metal. On both videos they looked the same on the inside. Can you give some insight on this? Maybe I can’t see it clearly.
I like this box and they're back in stock but it's $1100 now... hard to justify at that price. I hope it goes on sale soon. The 52" Husky is $1000 but for some reason I don't like it quite as much. I don't have room for a 56" box.
conmanxtreme The silver sides are installed in assembly. We show that happening. The handles would be easy to paint by simply taping them off. It would be very easy to do what you want.
Hey guys, first off, great review! I was originally looking at the Milwaukee 46" High Capacity Tool box and in your review i noticed the Husky 52" matte black box. Would you say that the Husky is better built? Which one do you prefer? Thanks for the help!
WorkshopAddict thanks guys! My mistake, I was looking at the 52 inch from Home Depot that’s why had that number in mind. Thanks for the input I’ll pick up the Milwaukee!
Nice box but I would need more room for the height of my tools. Sticking grinders and all that jazz in there would take up room quickly. It seems to be for more hand tools. Still a nice looking box
Hi guys, in Canada and looking at either 60" husky or 46" Milwaukee (not the high capacity model) . Thinking I'd prefer 52" husky but not available where I from, I have a a snap 52". Master series at work but wondering what you one you would recommend for at home?
The choices are simple IMHO, the red and black 46" Milwaukee or the all black 56" husky. Do not buy a black with silver trim Husky. The 52" Husky is poorly laid out.
I have to laugh. I bought the older/original version of this because I definitely preferred the black and thought all the aluminum junked up the look. I hope yours came out well.
Home Depot online only has the 48-22-8510-8520. Are these the older model w the black handles? Would like to get the newer model but can’t seem to find it. The HDs I’ve been to only displays their Husky line now.

@@WorkshopAddict Thanx. I just picked up the 56" bottom yesterday. I'm really impressed with it. For my garage and machine shop use, It will be more than enough. I really appreciated your honest review though. Got the bottom for $650 though.

All Milwaukee boxes come with liners. The high capacity box we have on our channel was replaced with a larger version that is not out yet. It should come out soon, so the old red and black box is out now and should be priced around 5-600.
kinda sucks they stopped making this so quickly. I too wanted the deeper drawers. Failing to understand why they would quit making the new one so soon but keep up with the older 18" depth model.
