Love the main theme, Dan, somehow it reminds me of the Berlioz era ... is there a chance to listen to the finished piece of music somewhere? I'm no pro, but can read scores, so I don't know what's the most useful link for me, sorry for that and thank you for the real time composing insight, such a talent.
This is great! Spitfire should try and make more videos like this with their other lines too. Have some for Albion Neo, BBCSO Core and Pro, Symphonic Orchestra standard and Pro, and Studio Orchestra standard and Pro. Maybe even also have a few with one additional popular library like OACE, Symphonic Motions, Solo Strings, etc. Even better would be to also include the project files for the pieces shown in the videos. Having a complete project to open up, examine, and poke around with would be a great help for people just getting started (and even for people with some experience).
Good stuff, Dan. Especially so because you demonstrate the creative flexibility of Albion One on the hoof which all too often seems to be associated with crash bang wallop car chases and cliched video game noise.
Very nice demonstration. Well, if nothing else you've convinced me not to shell out on the sample libraries - absolutely no amount of spending will furnish me with even a thousandth of the musical creativity you have.
Thanks Dan, that was awesome! It's always interesting to watch the "something from nothing" creative process using the amazing spitfire libraries we already have. Albion One is timeless.
Videos showing scoring sessions like this are just PURE GOLD. Thank you Dan for all that you do to help new and old composers the world over to find their unique voice :-)
Great video! The track is lovely! This is the reason why I love Spitfire Audio....they love their libraries and this proves it!! So nice to see Albion One being showcased in such a great way! I love my Albion One too!!
Outstanding video! I always struggle with how to use Albion for orchestration and this training was incredibly helpful. Please make more videos like this to show how to take a simple piano piece and orchestrate it with your libraries.
This is one of my favorite libraries anyway but I much appreciate sharing creation of all layers and details. Would certainly welcome more videos like that. Great score, by the way. Thanks :)
Great work. Maybe one day I will have so much knowledge about composing that I will be able to create something so great. I am just getting started and have already acquired the Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra Core package. I was wondering if Albion would give some elements to composing.
100%. Albion one gives you much more content including pads, drones, percussion, and tick-tock loops that you can mangle. Plus, the orchestra is ensemble-based, so it's designed for helping you create quick ideas.
I bought this some time ago and I never bothered to listen to the synth section of this library. Good Lord, did I miss out on some breathtakingly good sounds for so long. Dont be me, be smart and give it a try 😁
I loved this video. I purchased Albion ONE last year and it's an awesome library. I would love to see more videos like this for the "SOLO STRINGS" library which I also purchased.
Good job on that. I have this library and have not been able to figure how to use it but this helps me to see it’s potential. I wish I was has talented as you are though. 😮
Dan, that sounds so good. I really enjoyed watching how fast you are 👌 Love Albion. When I first got it I wrote a piece so fast, too and I couldn't believe how good it sounds. It's a perfect toolkit.
Loved this video!!!!! Thanks for sharing from scratch. Perhaps you could do a video showing how you built your Albion One template. I recently purchased Albion One and subsequently Abbey Rhode 1 this week as well and could use some help with my template. Keep up the great work!!!!
Dan is super awesome! Love his work, and Albion One is brilliant. Know what else would be brilliant? Solo (and chamber) vocals from SA 😘 Love y’all Thanks for the bestest instruments out there!
Love it Dan. How do you remember the harmony of the piano sketch when you add the strings etc? Is it because you have rehearsed the sketch or because your brain is young enough to remember? ;-)
God this score is amazing! And really has me curious how long it took and if there were multiple takes. You made the creative process it look and sound so smooth! So inspirational. Still deciding which library to get
Brilliant demo DK! You've probably showed us here somewhere or on your channel - but what's the fader MIDI controller you using which is out of view here?
Hey Dan. Thank you for that. It helps so much to see someone working in a specific library, especially a new one to me. I also haven't worked in Kontakt so I'm trying to learn my way around that too. In the video, did you say that the Logic template you used for the demonstration would be available? I think that would be very helpful for me. Thanks again. Bob
Thanks so much for this video. Man... I hope you read this... Do you have any videos on your time saving techniques? For instance, the various key tricks, like using the "J" key to join the duplicated regions, etc.? 😁
Hello, you say that the link to the template is "down below", but I thoroughly checked the description text and I don't see the link to the template. Can you please provide it? Thank you.
Hi, love your videos Dan! Great inspiration! I am also a SpitfireAudio customer. Is already in the wish list some of the other amazing orchestra sounds to get this year :) Question, how do you do these videos to share the creative process! I have been trying so many ways, nothing is really smooth. Specifically how to record your audio in a live session. Thank you for your support!
Thanks so much for the great demo. The template file won't recognise my Kontakt though (Kontakt 5 - full version). Anyone else have this problem? Do we need Kontakt 6 for this?
Hello Super your composition, I am a fan. I allow myself to ask you, I have albion, and I can't get the same rendering. What are the effects you put? Do you make sure to put the instruments on particular frequencies? Thanks for your help
Great video. I have a question Dan. Why do you leave the annoying metronome running once a clear rhythm and beat has been established with the other instruments?
Just started watching the video quick question, I’m downloading the template that you’ve created would this be something I would be able to open in Reaper. Thanks can’t wait to go through the rest of the video. Happy new year
@@MattyB3 hey, I'm trying to add a we transfer link on here but every time it deletes the comment straight away. I guess you can't put them in the comment section. I'll try and work it out.
I’m so glad we got to make this video!

Fantastic insight into process. This is the kind of video that people will really appreciate. Thanks so much for this!
This is great practice. Take one library and make a masterpiece like this within a certain time frame. Thanks
Love my Albion One,it’s so essential to my overall sound.Just brilliant.
Dan, Sir, this video is most appreciated by aspiring orchestral composers like myself. Thank you kindly, young man.
Thanks for doing this! Albion One was my first library, and it’s time I gave it another look!

Good stuff, Dan. Especially so because you demonstrate the creative flexibility of Albion One on the hoof which all too often seems to be associated with crash bang wallop car chases and cliched video game noise.
More Albion ONE please!
Dan, you make it look so simple

I've been recording rock/metal for years and am seriously thinking about diving off the deep end. Love to see your thought process. Super cool!

Großartig und danke für die Einblicke! Es ist gut zu sehen, was mit einer einzigen Bibliothek möglich ist.

Hello Dan! Thank you for this. It is very inspiring! I didn't realize that Albion One had such diverse offerings within one package.
Great video. Definitely time very well spent watching this. Thanks so much
Dan, thank you for this video and your template. It was very helpful for me to learn how to use the albion one instruments in general.
Wow. Just wow. Thank you so much for this Dan and Spitfire, especially the template!

Great video! Thanks so much Dan!

Thanks so much dan! Helped a lot with deciding what to get this sale :)
This sound like Atomic type of music, overall this is🔥

Да Дэн-интуитивно-понятно и интерестно следить -а что будет после очередной ноты...отлично...
Just one suggestion, it would have been helpful to know which patches you were using.
Thanks so much for the great demo. The template file won't recognise my Kontakt though (Kontakt 5 - full version). Anyone else have this problem? Do we need Kontakt 6 for this?
Maybe I missed something, but I and _not_ seeing a "linked project template", as mentioned early in the video. Anyone know where I can get it?
Hello
Super your composition, I am a fan.
I allow myself to ask you, I have albion, and I can't get the same rendering. What are the effects you put? Do you make sure to put the instruments on particular frequencies?
Thanks for your help
Notice you're using studio monitors in this video, in a small room like mine. What are they and do you recommend them?
Great video. I have a question Dan. Why do you leave the annoying metronome running once a clear rhythm and beat has been established with the other instruments?
Nice!
Great! 😀
Sounds a bit like something Alexandre Desplat would do ☺️
Q.E.D. Well done mate. I was wondering what your advice will be for a total beginner if you understand what I mean . Thanks.
I love all of your videos Dan & find you so inspiring! Do you do all your videos though with no pants on? Haha
Does anyone know the index/search plug in that dan uses at 20:56 to search for the eq?
Great video Dan, may I ask which piano you are using (the initial sketch piano)? Thanks!
I think it's Hans Zimmer piano.
Hi Dan, the link to the template has expired - any chance of adding a new link?
I'm late to the party!! Is the template still available??
The template is not available for download anymore. Can you update the link please?
is there any way to download the template? link has expired 😢
Where can I get more templates for modern composition?
