    It would enhance this video greatly if some information is given. Example: name of train stations with the name of towns and or city that you are going through.

    Why is the line not electrified? As a swede that confuses me. Here the only railways with no overhead wires are basically small railways in the middle of nowhere.

      Stupid politicians in the 90s. Electrification will happen most likely in this decade.

      Cause when oil prises dropped in the 1990’s, the danish government put the electrification on hold, and bought diesel trains instead, which were massively delayed, so in 2013 they continued the electrification, but they are still only about halfway there, this line for instance won’t be electrified till the end of 2026.

      It's in progress, there's a lot of things in the way, 33 bridges will need to be rebuilt between Fredericia and Aarhus, and 50 bridges between Aalborg due to not enough space for the overhead wires. But after decades of stalling from the politicians, Denmark is slowly making it's way to the electric future in the next 5 years.

      after the 1973 oil crisis, it was decided Denmark should be less reliant on oil, so electrification of the railroad started on Sjælland in the late 70s and the electric EA locomotives were ordered in the early 1980s for the same purpose. Then in the late 80s the oil prices dropped a lot, just in time when it became time to get new intercity trains, so the politicians decided it was cheaper to buy diesel trains than spend money on electrification, and thus all electrification plans were dropped and the order for electric locomotives was cancelled - thus DSB only received 22 EA locomotives out of the 140 originally planned, and only the eastern part of the railroad from Helsingør to Roskilde was electrified. The policy for over a decade after that was, since we're running diesel trains, there's no reason to spend money on electrification. When the Storebælt connection was built, electrification was continued only across the line across Storebælt and down to Germany, and only because it was cheaper to do it while building the new line anyway, rather than having to do it later, but there were still no plans to electrify the rest of the network. Then when the new line was built for the Øresund bridge to Sweden which opened in 2000, that too was electrified, but there were still no plans to electrify the rest of the network. When the order for the IC4 trains was made, once again the politicians didn't consider that it'd make sense to electrify the railroad first and then buy proper trains, and instead ordered diesel trains first because none of the lines were electrified. "Luckily" the IC4 trains turned out to be disastrous and thus there was massive public outcry for why we got more crappy diesel trains instead of going electric, and thus the politicians finally approved the budget for electrification. But because the same politicians want to waste billions on a bridge to Germany, that we don't need, and more motorways, that we don't need, Banestyrelsen have only been granted a pittance to electrify the entire western Denmark and replace dozens of bridges, and thus it's taking forever to get it done.
      The line from Fredericia to Kolding, and Fredericia to Esbjerg are done now. The one from Fredericia to Århus should be ready by 2025, and the rest of the stretch to Frederikshavn will presumably be done by 2035. As for the south line from Ringsted to Nykøbing F, it was supposed to be electrified with the opening of the new Storstrøm bridge in July 2022, but since they only just started building the bridge in spring 2023, that whole project is delayed indefinitely and there's currently no set date for when it can be expected to open, but it's unlike to happen before 2035 as well

    Can’t wait for our new Alstom Coradia Stream EMU’s to replace these old IC3 DMU’s, the Alstom trains have double the acceleration of this train, and 4,5 times the horsepower, and once the speed has been upgraded to 200km/h, this trip will only take 35min! That is, when the speed ugrades, digital signalling, new high speed line, and new underwater tunnel have been built.

      highly unlikely this line will ever be 200 km/h. As you may have noticed, it has a lot of tight curves, which prevents high speeds

    Sehr schöne Fahrt, aber der Autofocus ist sehr schlecht eingestellt, beim betrachten dieses Video bekommt man Kopfweh!
    Deshalb kann ich kein Abo nehmen!
