I think the Aric, son of Arac is meant to make fun of Aragorn, son of Arathorn. That whole naming convention from Tolkien takes inspiration from the early medieval English, who would name most of their children with names starting with the same sound as the father's if not the same syllable. For instance, Ælfrǣd (Alfred) had daughters Æthelflæd, Æthelgifu, and Ælfthryth, and sons named Æthelweard and Eadweard (Edward). Eadweard had daughters Eadgifu, Eadhild, Eadburh, and Eadgyth, and among his sons were Eadwine, Eadred, and Eadmund.
@@JubileeWhispers there were some bearded lasses in The Hobbit movie also, but you're absolutely correct, not all of them have beards. Completely up to the dwarf.
Original scource he means i belive and no, they all have beards becouse they are all escencial clay or dirt ppl created by one of the valar(a high god), and gave life by eru (the GOD). So its not rare that female and male kinda do look all the same becouse they were created in the vision of a particular Valar. Its not about gender representation.
Yeah, that’s what I thought. That’s the the other races in middle earth sometimes thought there were no female dwarves, because the females all had beards. But sure, in other fantasy worlds, like D&D, you can find beardless lady dwarves.
Glad to have you back!⛏️⛏️⛏️
Thank you, Thomas!
There's a hidden Gimli inside all of us

Female dwarves have beards.
Not all of them! I don't love Rings of Power but I do appreciate that it gave us some female dwarves
