@@Sunflowerseedsforivan No, it's just trust me bro, because I am not deaf and I have been to at least 4 shows when they performed this song, last time two days ago in Amsterdam, and I am not an f idiot.
Great reaction, thanks! Believe it or not this is like 1000 times better live. Honestly, they just kill it every time. I was skeptical with this studio version when it first came out because I'm picky about voice effects and things... But, as I said, the live version kicks ass. Hands down and lesson learned. 🤘🦊
Babymetal have just released a live video of BxMxC from the latest Blu-ray of Momo's birthday shows earlier this year. It's really cool to hear how this works live considering the amount of treatment on the vocals there is on this version.
you were talking about the guitar being different. it is. in the video you can see in the shots of a guitar it is a 9 string guitar. live is on another level like others have said. Su does this so good live. you think she can't do it live but she nails it. they played this in most of their shows last year and still this year. the crowd participation is awesome.
BxMxC is even better live . Just saw them in live amsterdam (for the second time in my life). Their live show is just perfect. They have lots of pyro, insane lighting and the crowd control is next level. Many moshpits and a deathwall created by just one gesture from Su. 10/10 experience. Oh and they have new outfits now which I think look super good.
I love that you mentioned about the vocal doubling. A lot of people say that they use autotune for the MV. Although they use some autotune for stylistic effect like the "Be" during "Wanna, Wanna, Wanna, Be", they didn't use it for the vocals. They have always use harmonizing vocal doubling. Most of the time it is very subtle. But for this song, to fit the style, they made it quite apparent and made a cool chorus effect. BxMxC (Pronounced B.M.C) means "Babymetal Cypher". But fans also call it "Bring Moa Chicken" because Moa loves fried chicken and food in general. I have checked the playlist and based on the playlist, you haven't reacted to "Tales of The Destinies". So, that's my next suggestion: Babymetal - "Tales of The Destinies" Live at Tokyo Dome 2016. (This song has no MV and has only been performed live once). Enjoy! 🦊🤘🦊🤘🦊🤘
Haha, nice one! The first time I saw the MV I didn't like it, I thought: This is not Babymetal, too much autotune, WTF... Then I saw the performance live and said: Ok, the girls have done it again, it's an awesome banger, I was wrong. Now it's one of my favorite songs. Su-Metal new rap-god. Babymetal Forever!! 🦊🦊🍅🦊
The music video is cool and all, but the way Su performs it live takes it to another level. Her ability to replicate this performance live is genuinely impressive even for her remarkable vocal skills.
As a hip hop/rap fan since the early 80s I was initially upset when I heard the audio for this song (before the video came out). First, too much autotune. 2nd, how are they going to perform this and not be cringe? 99.9% of the time a non-rapper raps, it ends up cringe as fck. Plus, we all know the girls are kawaii and dorky IRL. 3rd, why even make a rap metal song? Well, when they toured right after the album was released, they performed this song live in Brussels, I believe, and I saw the fan cam...I was BLOWN AWAY! It was heavy as fck, no autotune, it was dark, and the girls had SO MUCH attitude and swag that they could easily pull off a whole rap metal album. ZERO CRINGE! It was badass! And the reason why they did it is because SU-METAL CAN DO ANY FCKING GENRE!🤘🦊🤘
Hell yeah guys, wonderful reaction as always. I do hope you guys check out the live version! Su’s vocals has heavy effects on the studio, but in the live, she does it all with her raw vocals, no effects. And, I’m sure you know, the Kami Band instrumentation hits way harder live. *Budokan 2021* is a great version if you wish to do a follow up reaction! Also, when you can, *Night Night Burn (Legend Metal Galaxy 2020).* get your dancing shoes on for some flamenco/salsa metal goodness lol. 🤘🦊
Great reaction! I have been wanting to recommend "BxMxC" to you guys for a while now, but I can't patreon request because I'm still a minor. Please keep the channel going until I grow up 🙏🦊😭

I have not taken time to load it into DAW and quantize it, but as a drummer with a pretty developed internal clock. . . .when Su goes acappela, it is in straight time (1/4note=75bpm I think) to the drop. . . . (it is deceptive because Su does actually slow her flow a little). Most of their stuff is all to click. Makes sense, they need to run the back tracks and the preprogrammed light cues live and all their stuff is written for the live! I thought Koba might have jumped the drop by a 1/32th note in post to create like a jump scare, but then I ran a metronome at 150 to check myself and it locks right in the whole track. Unless mistaken, the drop out is exactly 4 bars. So Su has feel! Perhaps her click is off during the break? That also creates the jump scare effect! 🤘🦊🤘
I'll be the 19th person to say this, but as good as thus is, the live version at Budokan 2021 is worth watching and reacting to separately, it is that good. The swagger is off the charts.
