I really can't lie, this video makes me think of old gmod videos and gives the feel of it in a lot of the ragdoll segments. I like the editing and effort put into this, keep up the great work man!
I remember getting Garrys Mod in 2013 and thinking, "Damn, I must have missed something" because I would always hear references about addons and gamemodes from older players I never understood.
The nostalgia. I still remember the days back when PHX3 was it’s own thing. Back when it was my age group (Gen Y) we’re the predominant group. Now playing online feels awkward. Especially now that everyone has a mic these days! It was better back when mics weren’t so common. Mic spam wasn’t so extreme
I better be seeing gm_mountain_defense, Spartan Kick, and Nyan Cat gun. Shit like that makes me miss the Toybox EDIT: damb. He went to start of workshop, not Toybox. EDIT EDIT: oh damb. He did go that far back.
Great video! Majority of old gmod addons are broken but I have fixed up somethings over the years. Most importantly I fixed up the original zombie survival gamemode which is nothing like how it is now, the original was more run & gun and honestly I prefer it which is why I fixed it up. I have a server for that up if anyones interested just search for "toxicgaming" in the zombie survival gamemode. Recently I fixed up LightRP the original roleplay gamemode that DarkRP based itself upon.
The fire works map is a classic i used to play it on old hl2dm build servers. Good times. You needed to turn on the power from bhehind the building to get it to work.

i fucking remember the fireworks map! there used to be some sort of Christmas version of it, added with z_'s fishing rods and functional brush boats also to power on the shack you had to pull a level from the otherside of that wall
Yes, I saw that I was in the leaderboard when ratlobber joined that server in his last video. I did actually play on the server in my "Gmod 9 Multiplayer Shenanigans" video.
Great vid but if I have any criticism is that you really should voice them. I can't speak for everyone but sometimes i like to put these kind of vids in the background learning about random gaming trivia. Just my opinion
