Water boils at different temps in some places , it can depend at what sea level you are at the higher you are the lower the temp is and what minerals are in the water .
Not necessarily boiling temperature. With so many impurities, the vapor pressure would reduce, thus causing an increase in boiling point. Also, if atmospheric pressure is high, boiling point is reduced. So it really just depends.

He does it because he can, if you had boiling sand in your backyard you would too. I could cook some awesome pork or brisket in that. Most wholesome 10 mins (almost) I've ever watched, makes me want to go and visit Iceland even more... Loved this guy and his way of living, wonderful! 😊
I told my girlfriend about this video and how much I needed to have this bread and she said 'That man does not make rye bread, he makes rye cake,' which makes sense given the amount sugar in it.
Love how the guy doesnt want to leave questions unanswered but most of his replies amount to "lol idk, I guess this much is good right?", so nice from him.
I love Iceland, it's probably one of my most favorite places in the world. The people, the culture, the food, the environment. I would love to live there. This bread is GOOD!
The bread was extremely fascinating, but the boiled eggs basically *blew my mindhole!!* I desperately need to put “volcanic boiled eggs” on my bucket list now. 😱❤️
I first ate this bread in Iceland many years ago and fell in love with it...with lots of butter on it. It is definitely not cake-like and does not taste like ginger-bread. It has its own very unique taste. When I left it was one of the things I wished were available outside Iceland. I also fell in love with skyr. In those days it was natural, i.e. it had a normal amount of fat in it. It was lusciously creamy. I can't stand the 0% fat and almost 0% fat skyr that is sold now.
I LOVE Icelandics 🇮🇸 💙❤🤍 cheerful laidback funny and always ever so kind 😘😘😘😘 Probably my favourite people to interact with! Iceland is such a Gem 💎❤ utterly Divine 💘 They stole my heart 🥰😇 Sabrina 🇨🇵
pro tip. Iceland is very expensive, to the point where a cheeseburger costs 9$. Stick to frozen foods and stick to cheap stores. Gasoline is super expensive too, as well as everything tourist related such as hotels and rentals. Try not to litter and dont ask us to say eyjafjallajökull. If you dont want to see the true colours of icelandic people dont stay for more than a week. The beauty is only skin deep.
I've eaten pumpernickel, it's an Australian rye bread, and it does taste amazing, slightly sweeter than normal bread, and healthier too if I remember correctly.
I think you mean Austria, not Australia. To never forget, just remember that Hitler killed 6million Aborigines and annexed New Zealand while the Austrians were defeated by Emus in Vienna. P.S Its a joke.

We actually have hot springs that have designated pools at boiling temp for you to boil eggs while you soak in the ones that arent so hot xd
I like him...he is sooo adorable... charming kind of personality 😍😭❤️
Doesn't the plastic melt?
Also, danger 100c. No trespassing.
The guy : yeaaaaah, it is all quit warm
Actually plastic wrap is quite resistant to heat and 100-115 c is right under its threshold iirc
Greg Far
I think maybe it depends on the quality. Good quality plastic wrap is quite heat resistant, but idk if low quality plastic wrap is or not lol
Mingfei Wang but it’s in a metal pot

I know. That’s what I said.
@@gregfar6398 thank you, there are a bunch of smartasses in the comments getting likes.
I always come back to this, it's an underappreciated masterpiece of akwardness and nonchalance
That guy has got to be one of the most wholesome men on the planet.
7:15 - "It is also... Fun to... Touch the lake." Quote of the year.
This is definetly the most amazing way of cooking i've ever witnessed in my life
I went there and tried this volcano bread exactly 1 years before the release of this video. Good choice of date to visit Laugarvatn :D
I have probably watched this video 4-5 times now.. I honestly just love how genuine and sincere it is. I don't even eat bread but this is making me want to try it.
Most wholesome 10 mins (almost) I've ever watched, makes me want to go and visit Iceland even more... Loved this guy and his way of living, wonderful! 😊
MY BOY SIGGI STILL BAKING DEM LAVA BREADS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!! HELLL YEAAAAH!
PLEASE
I told my girlfriend about this video and how much I needed to have this bread and she said 'That man does not make rye bread, he makes rye cake,' which makes sense given the amount sugar in it.
and milk!
Yea I was surprised it didn't have yeast despite it having wheat in it.
Girl: how is it supposed it look when it’s done?
Guy: ....basically like this 👉🏼🥣 you know?
Us: 👁 👄 👁
That's kinda of Latino talk
Cringe
He was soooooo patient with her dumbness
1kth like✨
She should just go interview Japanese crafts ppl or chefs. Tons of “deeper meaning” stuff from them.
See’s boiling water
Girl: what temp is it
Homeboy: boiling
"What's the art to making this?" He said, "Just put love in it." 😭💜
He shagged the dough
I love learning about new traditions or traditions I never knew were around. This is so cool.
The Nordic culture, mentality, and emotions at its most pure.
He is very cheerful 😉😉 Iceland its a very beautiful country.
The bread was extremely fascinating, but the boiled eggs basically *blew my mindhole!!*
I desperately need to put “volcanic boiled eggs” on my bucket list now. 😱❤️
This is such an interesting bread. Especially for someone coming from hong kong
@@tangerinemelon1578 take care not cut yourself on all that edginess
I first ate this bread in Iceland many years ago and fell in love with it...with lots of butter on it. It is definitely not cake-like and does not taste like ginger-bread. It has its own very unique taste. When I left it was one of the things I wished were available outside Iceland. I also fell in love with skyr. In those days it was natural, i.e. it had a normal amount of fat in it. It was lusciously creamy. I can't stand the 0% fat and almost 0% fat skyr that is sold now.
i feel amazed how the plastic wrapped didn't melt.
and the egg was left there for 30mins in a bubbling spring and it turned out almost perfect.
I remember watching this a few years back right on this channel
I LAUGHED SO HARD WHEN SHE "My bread children" AAHHH I CANT
That wasnt even that funny compared to everything else
@@mattmartin7028 their like :LMAO BREAD CHILDREN, that's the funniest shit I ever heard

I like the way he is calm and relaxed while he is still working to make his bread for the day and the next one :)
I love the sign - " Danger - No Trespassing" LOL!!!
That's it. I'm going to Iceland and and bake bread with a viking!
I was in Iceland in 2018 and have tried it....quite yummy!
Lava Cake: Im the most loved and delicious and fresh cake tasted
Lava Bread: Hold my rocks
It’s as if mother nature cooked for you. So beautiful. 🤗
they seem like such good friends for some reason and its so god damn wholesome 😭
Netizen: how to cook a hard boiled egg
Iceland: hold my lava

Well, there's like a hundred people in Iceland, so it doesn't surprise me 😂
I love how neat he is! Nothing left on the table, very clean technique with digging and serving the bread, it's just so satisfying : )
I LOVE Icelandics 🇮🇸 💙❤🤍 cheerful laidback funny and always ever so kind 😘😘😘😘 Probably my favourite people to interact with!
Iceland is such a Gem 💎❤ utterly Divine 💘
They stole my heart 🥰😇

I wish to visit Iceland one day 🥺
Me too.
@@deletingthisaccount6385 I dont think ill ask you guys to say that I can't even say it but have you tasted this bread
@@ItsJustTuesday yeah, the taste is pretty sweet, the bread is really heavy though, if you can imagine that texture.

Ah yes, the floor here is made out of floor.
I only remember Gordan Ramsays bread getting breadnaped.
😅
The boiling temperature gets balanced with the absolutely amazing chill aura of his
This looks like the most natural way of cooking ever and i love it

Iceland. That's the Eurovision land! 😀
um no thats basically all of europe

this comment is why everyone in iceland hates the eurovision movie.
the amount of likes that has makes me very concerned...
This girl reminds me of my english teacher. Always trying to find a depeer meaning on everything.
He’s so vague about everything I love it
Hi, everybody. I highly recommend visiting Iceland. Beautiful country with interesting terrain and lovely people.
The irony of a volcano in Iceland. But it looks like they found Gordon Ramsey’s bread
Ice 🧊 and volcano 🌋🤣😂 yes indeed
“Cheers! What’s the Icelandic term?”
“It’s still Cheers.”
I wish this was a trend on tiktok instead of cloud bread it doesn't even taste nice
OMG I couldn’t have wrote that better!so true! LOL
Not everyone has a local hot spring 😜 🤷
Cloud bread is a trend because it’s made out of ingredients usually people have at home. Not everyone has hot spring in their backyard lmao
I'd need to Live in Iceland or something first
@teti sheri agreed
These two have almost no chemistry between them yet they work so well together
This brings back memories of the tv show Vikings
why do i feel like that read would taste 10 times better than normal ones
its just that my stomachs making noises 😭
I've eaten pumpernickel, it's an Australian rye bread, and it does taste amazing, slightly sweeter than normal bread, and healthier too if I remember correctly.
@@Absentminded.9423 Pumpernickel comes from Germany.
Oh I was WAY off, thanks for the info tho
@@Absentminded.9423 No prob.
I think you mean Austria, not Australia.
To never forget, just remember that Hitler killed 6million Aborigines and annexed New Zealand while the Austrians were defeated by Emus in Vienna.
P.S Its a joke.
You know, in Vikings, the girl said "We have these springs to bake our bread," and I thought, "Wait, what?" They actually do it, lol.
Lolll😂🤣
my homeboy is so simple trying to make his bread and this girl is trying to find some deep, hidden meaning behind every step of making the bread 😂
I actually made this guy’s recipe! I used “ Sabbath” mode on my oven and cooked it at 212 for 24 hours. It was a long wait. Super yummy though. Very sweet. I ate it with some cultured butter and goat cheese. Thanks for the recipe!
4:17 Oh, the heavenly mark! If this was done in Brazil 'the other locals' would leave no tin or breads there for the next day lol
Bro, this video is a GEM. Even boiled eggs! Complete lava servings.
